Almuerzo en la ciudad

Tuvimos un gran almuerzo en el Jalisco. La mejor comida. Y los mejores camareros Waiter J estaba de un humor divertido hoy. Nos reímos y nos reímos. Mi hija estaba conmigo. Ambos necesitábamos reírnos. La vida se pone estresante.

Llegué a casa y Nico y yo tomamos una buena siesta. Me estoy cansando menos de lo que he estado. Quizás finalmente me estoy recuperando del frío que tuve. Enfermo por 3 semanas. Todavía tengo tos ocasional. Parece ser estimulado, pero algo que yo como o bebo. Es mejor también

Muy cálido hoy. Y los vientos de fuerza del vendaval de ayer y de la última noche se han ido. Incluso tengo a Nico fuera por un momento. Pero esto no durará. Más frío los próximos 3 días y luego frío ártico y posibilidad de algo de nieve. Veremos. He aprendido a suponer que están mintiendo cuando pronostican nieve aquí. Los dioses tienden a trabajar en mi contra. Nadie extraña el clima caluroso, húmedo y horrible del verano que todos aman. Pero amo la nieve y rara vez la obtengo, para el deleite de todos. La historia de mi vida en la mayoría de las áreas, no solo del clima.

Sigo a Stephen King en Twitter. Dijo que estaba de mal humor hoy y sería la primera broma que lo hace reír. Ahora él los está compartiendo a todos. Y me estoy riendo. ¡Él ha publicado algunos buenos!

Las fotos de hoy son fotos que he editado con algunas cosas nuevas. Simplemente divertido jugando. La foto del caramelo es una pieza plana de chocolate, pero la foto parece redonda. No tengo idea por qué. Tomado con mi iPhone.

Lunch in town

Had a great lunch at el Jalisco. The best food. And the best waiters. Waiter J was in a funny mood today. We laughed and laughed. My daughter was with me. We both needed to laugh. Life gets stressful.

I came home and Nico and I took a nice nap. I am getting less tired than I have been. Maybe I am finally recovering from the cold I had. Sick for 3 weeks. I still have an occasional cough. Seems to be stimulated but something I eat or drink. It is better also.

Nicely warm today. And the gale force winds of yesterday and last night are gone. I even have Nico outside for a bit. But this will not last. Colder the next 3 days and then arctic cold and chance of some snow. We will see. I have learned to assume they are lying when they forecast snow for here. The gods tend to work against me. No one ever misses the hot, humid, horrid summer weather that they all love. But I love snow and rarely get it, to everyone's delight. The tale of my life in most areas, not just weather.

I follow Stephen King on Twitter. He said he in a blue mood today and would the first joke that makes him laugh. Now he is sharing all of them. And I am laughing. He has posted some good ones!

Photos today are photos I have edited with some new stuff. Just fun playing. The photo of the candy is a flat piece of chocolate but the photo looks round. No idea why. Taken with my iPhone.

Día tranquilo

No pasa mucho hoy. Dormí tarde y también dormí la siesta. Nico pasó de dormir y ser amorosa a ser una mocosa. Tal vez el próximo clima cambie. Él está durmiendo ahora.

Finalmente conseguí Lightroom y Photoshop cargados y en funcionamiento. Estoy tan despistado. Pasé la mayor parte de la tarde tratando de hacer cosas divertidas.

Fue en los 50 hoy, pero con vientos de alrededor de 35 mph. Apenas podía abrir la puerta de entrada. Horrible. Más frío, ligera posibilidad de nieve, la posibilidad de nieve más gélida y más grande. El tiempo dirá.

       

Quiet Day

Not much going on today. Slept late and napped too. Nico went from sleeping and being loving to being a brat. Maybe the coming weather change. He is sleeping now. 

I finally got Lightroom and Photoshop loaded and running. I am so clueless. Spent most of the afternoon trying to do fun things.

It was in the 50s today but with winds around 35 mph. I could barely open the front door. Awful. Cooler, slight chance of snow, the frigid and bigger chance of snow. Time will tell.

       

Lunes

Ayer, nuestra agua se congeló en la casa. ¿Cómo? No hacía frío hasta la noche. Froze. Hoy no estuvo súper cálido, realmente frío. Agua descongelada ¿Qué? Es una bendición recuperarlo.

No hay mucho hoy. Dormí tarde. Luego cené en el Jalisco. Su comida es demasiado buena y el personal es demasiado agradable. Me cuesta mucho comer en otro lugar. ¡Son personas inteligentes!

Sigo teniendo ataques de tos. Me asusta que está empeorando. Entonces, como hoy, sin tos. Extraño. La gripe por aquí es tan aterradora. Y mi estado tiene la mayoría de los casos en los Estados Unidos. Eso da miedo.

Esta noche mi clase sueca comenzó de nuevo. Pero solo éramos 5 de nosotros allí. ¡Y me gustó! Tenemos atención individual. Aprendí mucho. ¡Ahora si puede retener lo que aprendí!

      

Monday

Yesterday our water froze in the house. How? It was not cold until evening. Froze. Today it was not super warm, actually cold. Water thawed. What? It is a blessing to have it back.

Not much today. Slept late. Then ate supper at el Jalisco. Their food is just too good and the staff just too nice. I have a hard time eating anywhere else. They are smart people!!!

I keep having coughing spells. I get scared it is getting worse. Then, like today, no coughing. Weird. The flu around here is so scary. And my state has the most cases in the US. THAT is scary.

Tonight my swedish class started again. But there was only 5 of us there. And I liked it! We got individual attention. I learned a lot. Now if can retain what I learned!!

      

¡Confuso!

Nada esta semana ha sido normal. Pensé que ayer era domingo. ¡Hoy es un día desconocido! Espero que me arregle!

Almuerzo con mi hermano y mi hija en el Jalisco hoy. Luego pasé la tarde con mi hermano aprendiendo a hacer cosas en mi cámara. Mi cabeza da vueltas. ¡Espero poder recordarlo todo!

La casa de un amigo. ¡Mi lente lo hace parecer mucho más pequeño de lo que es!

Calle en mi pueblo

Solo conozco esta casa como la casa de la tía Hannah. Ella era una dulce dama.

Esta es la casa donde crecí hasta los 11 o 12 años. Si sueño con mi hogar, esta es la casa en mi sueño. Mi papá tuvo la oportunidad de comprarlo pero no lo hizo. Daría casi cualquier cosa para poseerlo.

Confused!

Nothing this week has been normal. I thought yesterday was Sunday. Today is an unknown day! Hope I get straightened out!

Lunch with my brother and daughter at el Jalisco today. Then spent the afternoon with my brother learning how to do things on my camera. My head is spinning. Hope I can remember it all!!

I only know this house as Aunt Hannah's house. She was a sweet lady.

This is the house I grew up in until I was 11 or 12. If I dream of home, this is the house in my dream. My dad had a chance to buy it but didn't. I would give almost anything to own it.

Nueva lente

Mi hermano y yo comimos fuera y luego pasamos la tarde tomando fotos. Él me mostró cómo usar mi nueva lente y ¡es increíble! Lo que está más cerca parece más grande. Es una gran lente de ángel. ¡Muy genial! Así que solo fotos hoy.

Estos se toman en Coronado Heights y dentro del castillo que se construye allí. Uno de mis lugares favoritos para ir.

Estos se toman en el Old Mill junto al río. Tenía varios parientes que trabajaban allí cuando estaba abierto. Ha sido completamente restaurado y funciona una vez al año, pero no hace harina. Demasiado desorden. Mi abuelo, mi padre, un tío y una tía trabajaban aquí.

Smoky Hill River. No muy profundo con nuestra sequía. Y siempre tiene un aspecto oscuro. Solía ser una presa, pero eso ya no existe. Puedes ver lo que queda de eso. Tenía un primo que quería reconstruirlo pero, oh, el dinero. Él nunca lo hizo.
