7/2026 - Friday the 17th- MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Bruno

    Today was a good day.  I slept pretty good.

    I had a message from KN.  My front door ---- screen door ---- has been broken since one of our high wind storms.  But two days ago I could not keep it closed for anything.  I asked KN to come look at it to see if it was fixable. He fixed it except it needs a latch.  Will do that tomorrow.  I am so relieved.

    While eating lunch I spilled part of my juice in my lap.  Had to change clothes.  Dang.  What a clutch.

    Work was good.  But no one will help me with the error my scanner keeps making.  LL came home from her trip with a cold.  She stayed away from me so we did not get to talk.  I have a nose spray I use when ever I am not home.  It is good for 9 hours of killing germs, viruses, etc.  I think it helps.

    I finished a large box of photos.  And started a new huge box of more photos.  I am almost done with the first bunch.  Only 2 tiny photos left.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  As I left for home there was a huge rain cloud to the west.  Nothing here yet.  Dang.  Last chance for rain for at least 10 day.  Days of warnings for heat start this weekend.  Ick.  I hate summer.  I have a doctor's appointment on monday in Hutchinson.  I do not want to drive alone on the hottest day of the year.  Will change.  My safety is more important.

    I was so tired and tried to nap when I got home..  Failed.  But my laptop is working propertly.  For a change.

    Cinder came to find me when I got home.  I fed Daisy.  She gets fed one more time.  Not seen Kisse yet.  But I have not walked down the hall yet.

6/2026 - Friday the 5th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Bo

    Today was a great day with perfect Kansas wonderful weather.  Who could ask for more?  I feel great with no pain or sugar problems.  So healthy.

    Interacted with many local people today.  Great to be around folks with Swedish ancestry.  The best!

    Spent time in a coffee shop.  Perfect.  Then later in a 2 local business.  And lots of locals.

    Have been familiar with a local artist & his work.  Today we had a good visit & I admitted we are related.  And I had a couple of stories about the farm he lives on.  He might have enjoyed them.  I only want to please others.

    I admire people who can fall sleep at the drop of a hat no matter where they are.  Cool & lucky.

    I am home now with my cats.  Inside cats are sleeping & Daisy is eating.

    I am making lots of changes after some faults I am now aware of.  Hope I offend no one.  And if I have, I apologize.

    Celebrated a friends birthday today.  Sweet!!

                                                                    

           

 

5/2026 - Thursday 14th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Halvard , Halvar

    Today has been a great day.  But something happened last night that has me upset & relieved

    Last night one light grey kitten came home.  She was starving & thirsty.  No other kittens or the mom.  Hope they are all ok but having my doubts.  I checked on her middle of the night.  This morning she was hiding between a couple of boxes to sleep.  Then today I could hear her but nowhere near.  Maybe under the porch.  Tonight she came out to see me.  Last night she rubbed on my feet.  Today I got to pet her.  Wish I could bring her in my house.  Would not work.  Hope she stays.  I will take care of her.  Wish the rest would return.  I have horrible thoughts in my mind.

    Today I had lunch with my thursday friends.  We ate at the Öl Stuga.  Then I drove around the block to get a parking place near the White Peacock. Met the director of the SVAFC & the Red Barn Museum.  We usually only have time to say hello so we had coffee today.  Really nice visit.  I am sure I talked too much.  I try not to.  But I so rarely see anyone & never get to visit.

    Took a nap when I got home.  Now I am playing catch up.

    Got a message from my glucose supplier.  I guess I passed.  Tired of sticking my finger.  Be at least a week --- I am sure --- new ones show up.

    Another warm day.  With 40mph winds.  Hate the wind.  Storm warnings tonight.  I was hopeful we would get some rain.  HA.  It went east of me.  Of course.  Maybe more later?  HA.  Just cannot win.

    Yesterday I felt better.  But today all my pain is back,  Thanks weather.

    Spanish actually went pretty good.  I now know how to say "day after tomorrow".   Pesado mañana.  Scary when I learn something.
