Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 221......

Very quiet day. Talked to no one. Had another long phone call last night with my cousin ND2. Wish I dared to go to Denver to visit. Next year???

Our weather roller coaster started today. Our high on my farm was 80. Wichita KS broke a record of over 100 years of 87. I woke up from my nap at 330pm and it was mid 70s. Now at 630 it is 48. Still strong winds. All day. Snow and ice on Sunday through tuesday.

My 3 deer were here to eat a little while ago. They were on the north side of my house then on the south side. Fun to watch. No video today though. Something scared them once. No idea what it was. Hopefully not a mountain lion. Then they came back. Love to watch them.

I can feel the weather changes in my body. I was out of tylenol and now have some. Helps. I cannot wait to see my doctor in november. Hope she has some ideas how I can feel better. I know I did nothing to cause my arthritis or to cause where I hurts. Then why do I feel guilty?

Photos are just things I have played with.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 207....

Busy afternoon. JR2 texted and wanted to meet for coffee. My tummy is ok today so we met at the Peacock. Had a nice visit. I am going to miss her when she moves more than words can say. Will enjoy her while she is here.

Then JR and I had supper at Jalisco's. They were busy plus they had a huge, huge take out order. DV carried out gallons of salsa, enchiladas, tacos, chips, queso, and more. I have never heard JS say "I am sorry" so many times! I never heard people inside complain but I heard there were some who complained outside of the restaurant. Like the world swirls around just for them. Try to be understanding. Should have given me the phone!! But we were well taken care of even though JS said he was sorry to us too.

A little warm today. I saw 88F. But tonight it is much nicer. We have little humidity so that helps it feel better. Two more hot days, so they say. I will hold them to it!!!

My cousin and I in Colby Kansas. He is from New Zealand and is part Swedish and part Maori. A rugby player and coach.

Newspaper article about losing our house to a fire. Man to the right is my husband. That one event changed our lives forever. Nothing was ever ok again.

Me and my Siamese cat. I loved him so much. But I was the only who loved him. He had a horrible end of life. And I was lied to about it. Really hurts a child when that happens. But my life was mostly like that.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 204....

Nice busy day. I slept well and thought my alarm was set correctly. Ha. I got up an hour late! But it was ok.

Cousins were in Wichita this weekend and stopped in Lindsborg for brunch on their way home to Denver. We met at the White Peacock. ND2 and I had Swedish pancakes. Very yummy. I have not made them for ages. Need to as they are my faves. We had a nice visit. I miss them and I need to get brave and go to Denver.

JR helped me after brunch. I was not able to go into Dollar General so he bought me a few groceries. And he kept the cold things in his house while I had therapy.

Therapy went well. But thinking of all the things I wanted and hoped for is painful. And all the bad things I have dealt with. I read a post about closing the door on the past and moving on. I try. Difficult. I need to make peace with the past and keep all of that and them in the past. It is hard to only have my therapist to talk to.

Took a short nap. Mind too busy.

Outside I heard a bird that Willie said was a rain crow. No idea what it really is, but I know the sound. It is supposed to forecast rain. I am sure he is confused!!

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 203....

I got my flu shot yesterday. The hospital had a drive through clinic. Super easy. No appointment needed. Hope they do it next year. But last night I had a reaction to it. No big deal. It has happened before. I felt super hot, achy. My arm is sore today. With Covid I got paranoid but my temp was 97. All is well today.

Nothing today. A usual monday. Nico was a mess last night and today. No idea why. Tonight he is into everything.

More itching today. Gets so old. But could be worse and it is only my problem so no biggie.

Photos today are from a Road Trip, Part 1 - Two churches.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 201....

Quiet day. Great weather. They even said we had a little shower. I saw no traces of it. Highs were in the 60s. Chilly night. Loving it.

Slept fair last night but no matter how long or well I sleep I always have that wonderful RA fatigue. And no one truly understands how I feel. I give up trying to explain. They can believe whatever they want.

Long day with no calls or texts. Used to it but sort of makes for a difficult day. But JS shared a video of him working and welding. Interesting. I did not know. Now I do.

Could not get my TV and Hopper to work tonight. I did a lot of stuff thinking the cat had pulled a cord or something. But it was only almost dead batteries in my remote. I usually get a message or two but must have missed them. Now all is good.

Photos today are from a road trip with a friend a couple of years ago.
