Have known Edwards over the years.

    No such thing as a good day today.  Had low blood sugar that just would not budge.  I ate the usual things ---- cookies, crackers, glucose tabs & liquid.  Nada.  I ended up with a major sick stomach.  Blood sugar is normal now but my stomach is still very sick.  Why???  Maybe the flu?  I have cancelled today & tomorrow.

    Far too warm today.  Right now it is 83F.  I have only stuck my head outside once.  No mail then but will check again.

    Texted with JL & N&C.  CF managed a dog photo very late last night.

    Have the local news on.  The weatherman is giddy & almost jumping for joy about out rising temps.  Idiot.  Saturday in my one weather app said we could hit 99F.  This weatherman says we could possibly hit 100F.  Would be the earliest we ever hit 100F.  And he said there is little to no chance of rain in March at all.  We are back in drought conditions again.  If this weatherman does not be quiet I will turn the sound off.  Our summer has the chance to be miserable.  😱

    I order bread from a group on Amazon.  They have one product that is a French pancake.  Small round flat of bread.  Cinder has decided she likes them also.  She smelled one & acted like she wanted some.  I give her tiny bites I break off.  Odd.  She knows what the package sounds like.

    I added some sunflower photos today.  I am not in a flower mood but these are pretty flowers and photos.  I hope we get some blooming around here this summer.  But with no rain...............

Today is the anniversary of our house burning down.  Not a good day or memory. Found out who were truly our friends & who were not.  And it started a period of bad things.  My son had an eye injury that he had to have two corneal transplants.  Injury had nothing to do with our fire.  Just poor timing.  Many trips to Kansas City to see an eye specialist.

10/2025 - Miércoles the 29th - MY JOURNEY

 

Love my kids.  Miss Nico.  When he died I lost a huge part of my heart & soul.

Today's Name Day:  Viola 💕

Good friends with a sweet lady named Viola.  She & her husband were god parents to our son.  Was good friends with her daughter-in-law years ago.  Miss her & her husband.  They lived in Falun. KS.

    Not a good day.  Awake all night & no sleep.  So no work today.  Or eating out.  Tired of being sick.  Or sickly.

    I took a short nap after lunch.  Woke up early.

    Some texts today.  Mostly from MM.  Back at the hospital having his ribs checked out.  Has 2 broken ribs.  Hope all is ok.  One email from JL.  A photo from CF but nothing more.  Photo from the Sale BARn about a party on friday night.  Would be fun but I won't be there.  Dang.  I would feel out of place.

    Major stress about finances.  Gotta spend less & I expect at least 1 other to help.  Spending far too much.  When my money is gone it all ends for everyone.

    Freeze warning for tomorrow morning.  See if that happens.  I feel chilly today but the temp inside is normal.  No more rain.  Then friday is ok.  Not too cold or windy.  Does not matter to me.  Might eat supper out.

09/2025 - Lunes the 22nd - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Maurits, Moritz

My great grandmother had a brother Maurits who died as a young man.  He had been in the states then returned to Sweden & died.  No idea why.

    Had a good day.  Not much sleep though.  I realized that the new OS 26 something is now out so around 3am I started deleting things to clear enough so it would download.  It is as cool as they said it would be.  MM showed me something cool it will do.  Tonight I have been adding back in what I removed.  So far so good,

    I took off for Hutchinson KS for my medical clinic to pick up my insulin & ozempic.  On the way home the ditch on the east side of the highway was filled with thousands of sunflowers!!  From Hutch to McPherson.  All ditches should be so beautiful!!  Not here.  Not enough rain,

    MM was bartending today.  I stopped on the way home to see him.  I got my rum & coke without asking.  Supper was a grilled cheese with Bond Ost cheese, chips & dressing.  Bond Ost is a Swedish cheese.  I really did not know anyone there.  Just fun to people watch.

    MM is a good waiter.  Each customer is treated special with a hand on shoulder or whatever.  The former owner of the bar came in.  He had to park a long ways away.  He, like me, has trouble walking.  MM walked to the end of the block & drove his car to a closer spot.

    Rain clouds are moving in.  We are in a storm watch & flood warning.  IF my drive is ok I am going out for lunch tomorrow.  I need to do that more often.  Find other foods I want.  I am craving fried chicken  and/or a real breakfast ---- eggs, bacon, toast of biscuit, potatoes.  Might not happen this week but it will next week.  I can eat alone.  No problem.

    Things are looking up for Bethany College. Mens soccer have 3 wins, womens soccer have maybe 2 wins, & football team won last night!!!!!  Exciting times!!!  Whether I get to attend or not it is still wonderful!!

    Just watched Rachel Maddow interview Kamala Harris.  Great.  Love those two.

    Got a mosquito in my car.  Usch.  Now have on 2 stickers that repel them.  Working so far.  Need bug killing cold weather!!!

    Had a long text this morning with CW about our dogs that have died.  We both miss them.  He has his dog's ashes.  His dog's name was Willie.  Nico is buried near my bedroom window.  Nico would sit on my bed & look out the window waiting for me to come home.  Last night I had a short dream of Willie & Nico came to me like they were live.  Willie was talking.  Lots of thoughts about my granddaughter.  If she would reach out to me I would tell no one.  NO ONE!!!!!  I would just enjoy.
