Today's Name Day:  Dagmar, Rigmor

Had an ancestor in Sweden named Dagmar.  Knew the husaband of one.

    Another day of rest.  Normal day for me.  Heard from MM at work, CW on holiday, KC accepted my friend request.  Plus I have figured out how she knows me.   Weather too warm.  Hope the cool weather gets here soon,

    KN used to have large parties at their house.  Invite all the neighbours but they assumed I knew everyone.  I knew no one.  I worked long hours in Salina.  So I would always go to their parties but I would usually sit quietly & visit with few.  I am sure her family were there but I was clueless.  And quiet.  And somehow she liked me.  Glad.  Willie would give all the kids attention.  She must have just added me to him.  I am glad.  And she is a nurse today.  A "real" nurse as Mom used to day.  I was only an LPN & not important..  I never talk about those days now.  I am friends with 3 "real" nurses.  I ignore me as a "nurse".  Always.

    I have worked through my feelings & what I have been accused of.  And announced that as a child I never hurt anyone & with photos of us that my parents did not hate me.  If it happens again he will not be a happy camper.

    TV better today. National Geographic & Josh Gates.  I am really ready for SNL to start.  Couple of weeks or so.

    Fotos are a mix but sort of organized.

This table looks exactly like thetable I use to sort my fotos on.  Not the same though.

Love this & wish it was mine.  The dreams of fools.........

Would be fun to shop here in Morocco.  Plus a friend lives there.

02/2024 Fredag the 16th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

National Do A Grouch A Favor Day

    Another calm day.  I was planning to go to my old Swedish group but we had snow & the road reports I read said slick with cars off the road.  I went back to my cozy bed.  Dang.  I really wanted to go to this meeting.  Great program.

    We got around one inch of snow.  Enough for slick roads.  I got a few photos, but nothing spectacular.  Last night the weatherman said the snow would melt after lunch when our temps would be in the 40s & sunny.  HA.  We stayed in the freezing temps with no sun.  No melting snow.  Cinder went out early in the snow.  Maybe ready to come in now.

    Poor JR.  He had a bad flu, as many in town do.  Got over that mostly but today he has a bad cold.  Not his week at all.  No eating out today.  Not much good to eat here either.  Dang.

    KC shooting update.  One of the 3 arrested has been released.  He saw a gun that was tossed aside, picked it up, & walked away.   The two juveniles are the shooters.  Throw the book at them I hope.  What idiots.

    Not much to say when I have not done much.  Photos today are from a past art show.  All mine.

Singles Awareness Day

Today's Name Day: Sigfrid

    Had a better day.  Gave up using my weighted blanket.  Folded it at the end of the bed & used 2 thin & light blankets.  I slept like a baby!  Not sure why.  It has bothered me for 2 nights in a row.

    It did get cold last night.  The cold front came through.  Today got in the 40s but colder & snow tonight.  Not much snow, of course.

    I found out the hard way that the med I am on for my diabetes that cuts my appetite down is not fooling.  If you eat too much you will get ill.  I almost did.  Really did not eat much, so I thought.  But did not last long.  Had a nice nap.  Cinder hit the road early today.  Came in now & quickly back out.

    Cinder surprised me last night.  She came in & ate just a bit.  Then she started begging to go back out,  It was almost bedtime so I ignored.  She was going nuts.  So I finally let her out.  Checked on her in just a few minutes & she was at the door.  Had she decided to potty outside if possible??  I guess that is ok.

    More on the KC shooting.  Three arrested & 2 are juveniles.  And the focus of the news is how to be safe in crowds, etc.  Should be why do we not get guns off the streets for a start.  Oh, but it is never the right time.  Not the right time for polititians to lose their income from the gun lobbies.  Criminal.

    I needed to carry trash out today but no "spoons".  Tomorrow?  Probably saturday.  I need a new lightbulb in my hallway.  I might get that done.  Not too difficult.  Except I am short & and have a fear of heights.  I will try with my ladder.

    No major communication today with anyone.  Oh well.  People are busy.  I am used to being along.

    Photos today are black & white.  I like B&W photos.  So does JR.  More alike than I would imagine!!!  He is having a showing of his photos next year.  All will be B&W.  Exciting times!  None of these are mine.  I edited them on how the colors look.  And one was colored but I like it better as I did it.

                                

02/2024 Onsdag the 14th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

National Cream-Filled Chocolates Day 

Today's Name Day:  Valentin

    Not a good day today.  Had an upset overnight that has left me in high stress & panic.  I cancelled my day.  Feeling better tonight.   I mostly rested today.  Got attention from Cinder & Kisse.  That was my day.

    Suffering from lots of guilt for not going to work today.  I was still shaky inside until after my nap.  Emotionally I am a mess.  It only affected me so that is ok.

    Another too warm day & night.  Tomorrow the wind changes & temps falling.  Might get an whopping inch of snow.  Cooler temps for a couple of days.

    Today was a huge parade for the winner of the Super Bowl.  At the end of the program there was a  mass shooting.  One is dead & many injured including children.  Three arrested.  What is wrong with out country?  We have had 47 mass shootings in the US since New Years.  And the politicians are singing a sad song.  As usual.  But they do nothing to prevent shootings.  They only care about money not people.

    Calm out today.  The prairie looked calm & my pond was quiet.  Cows were not here so I did not see them.

    I treated me to an order from a cheese company not too far from here.  It came yesterday.  There are cheeses, some chocolate, a cheese spread, crackers.  Until Willie got dementia he always got me flowers.  No one else thinks of me.  So I thought of myself.
