6/2026 - Saturday the 20th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day: Linda

I have known dozens of Lindas. Best friend in junior high. Classmates in school. Cousins.

Today had me worried. I slept very little. And got up to feed Daisy to see the raccoon made another visit. What an ungodly mess!!!! Called KN but he will not be here for 2 hours.

I got dressesd & decided on what for lunch. I wanted to eat in town but decided not to do that. I left a bit early for my reunion. Had to go down my back steps to avoid the boxes.

Today we celebrated Midsommarsdag in town. Hundreds of people roamning around. Car parked everywhere. And the block I needed to park on was closed & full of people. No bueno. I kept going around the blocks until I got to the alley behind the Senior Center where my reunion was. And lo & behold there were 2 handicapped parking spots by the back door. I grabbed one. Perfect. Someone had to find a key to unlock hte doors. Then we got in. There were people already in there who opened the front door. I sat by some one I really like. Good choice.

I generally do not feel part of my class but that ended tonight. I had many hugs & gave many hugs. Reconnected with one girl who I just had lunch with her brother. He even told her. Reconnected with several old friends. One friend that never talked to anyone when we grew up. She was bubbly tonight with everyone. We ate next to each other. What a good evening.

Our food was from a newer place in Marquette that I want to try. Their food was to die for. I will for sure eat there some weekend. Only open on the weekends. Each day is a different meal. JR may not like what they serve but I will go alone then. I am pretty used to alone.

One friend offered to help me get my food & carry it for me. Hard to do with a cane. She got her plate at the same time then went back for drinks for us. We took a group photo. I want a copy of that. I took no photos. Hard to get around to do that.

The stormy weather is moving in now. If there is no wind it will be ok but winds are forecast.. Here is the info on it. Second line around 4am. Third line tomorrow. Whew. Flood warning too.

Got home and all boxes are gone. Raccoon has not returned yet. KN say to call him if I see it. He will be over right away.

I am writing my blog but skipping spanish. Far too tired. Just want to relax.. I was greeted by both cats.

3/2026 - Onsdag den 11:e - MY JOURNEY

This is an old photo. It is actually 60 years ago today!!! These are the seniors on the team. They are Jim, Dale, Randy, John, & Linda. Dale made the winning basket as the game ended & the buzzer rang out. Super exciting!! I was lucky enough to be there. I was also a senior. Still friends with Randy & John.

Today's Name Day: Edvin, Egon

Had a good day, mostly. Worked at the Old Mill. All was well except for the old scanner. It just won't work. I would change the settings & if it would scanning several photos I would keep using those settings. Right before time to go home the scanner was a mess. Like some of the program would just keep going back & forth in it. Could not scan & it would not turn off. I could not stop the app from working over & over. I turned the computer off but the scanner kept running. I had to figure out which was the electrical cord. I did not guess right to start with. I finally got it turned off. And it does this all the time. Not happy. Someone needs to come check it out.

Supper was at Jalisco's. AJTR saved my booth for me. We chatted a bit & then he disappeared. I think he was washing dishes tonight. MS was there & good to see her. And MA had time to chat a bit. Good meal. I had another burger & fries. Sooo good. They are the best.

Groceries came next. Now Cinder & I are happy!!!

Was a bit cooler today. Somehow I felt ok in the basement at work. Miracle. House is a bit chilly tonight. And we had high winds today. Hate wind. Very cold weather comes this weekend. More wind tomorrow. In a fire watch. Scary times.

I was really tired when I got home, I laid down to nap. I never fell asleep but Cinder cuddled with me the entire time. I need her more than sleep.

I had feelings of not belonging today. More than usual. No real reason for it. I really do not belong anywhere. Think I am still upset over my class reunion that no one could have bothered to tell me when, where, how much, food, etc. Think I will just skip it.
