12/2025 - Domingo the 14th - MY JOURNEY

 

Love this one.

Today's Name Day:  Sten

    Had another ok day.  JR got sick overnite so we canceled eating out tonight.  Too dark, too cold.  He rested for a few hours last night & then felt better.  I, on the other hand, felt ok but was awake most of the night with low blood sugar.  Beats me why.  I got some sleep this morning.  And a nice cozy nap.

    I saw 10F for a low last night.  Every time I got up last night I let the water run for a while.  And it is dripping all the time.  Temp now is 25F.  Our high.

    Had an email from JL but that is about it.  Had a few photos from MM since Gracie escaped this afternoon.  Not gone for long.  A neighbour caught her.  She is so ornery!!  I love her!

    The house is still chilly.  Might turn the heat up a bit.  I bought me a wearable blanket thing for home like I have at work.  I am keeping warm.  Cinder is on the DVR that is warm. Kisse was still napping but just got up.

    On sundays I have started watching a show about a zoo & what goes on that no one sees.  Secrets of the Zoo.  It is so fascinating.  I am learning many things.  I had no idea what goes on.  Sad episode today.  I have tears.  Otherwise there is nothing but sports.

    Photos today are all Christmas ones in some way.  Did not sort them.  They are numbered so I know what I have posted.

Guadalupe Day, or the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is a major Catholic celebration on December 12th, commemorating the Virgin Mary's apparitions to St. Juan Diego in Mexico in 1531, marked by Masses, processions, traditional dances (like Danza Azteca), and feasts (tamales, champurrado) at basilicas (like in Mexico City) and churches globally, honoring her as a powerful symbol of Mexican identity, motherhood, and faith.

        I had a great day today.  Slept good overnight.  Had to eat twice but went right back to sleep.

    Saw both my friend JS & CA during live videos at events with Indians dancing.  I had to ask about it.  A Mexican thing.  Always good to learn something new.

    Had an early text from MM.  Nice.  Missing him.

    Met LL for lunch at the White Peacock.  Really quiet in there.  Very few cars in front of the Ol Stuga.  Odd. Then off to work.

    Worked on a huge pile of tiny photos.  Hate those!!  Will take me forever.  Plus I was freezing.

    Supper was carnitas at Jalisco's.  Plus they had fútbol on the tv.  Nice to watch.

    Not many people in eating when we got there.  Then it filled up!!  Plus huge boxes of food going out the front door!  As soon as I was done with my ice cream we took off.

    Temp stayed around 45F.  Felt cooler than that.  The weather men get so sad when they forecast cold & no rain or snow.  But let the them get too excited about a warm forecast they almost do a happy dance,  Winter has not started even & they are talking about the ending of it.
