Everyday is a good day for Fika.

Today's Name Day: Mats, Mattias

    I had plans.  Nothing big, but Cinder ruined them all!  😍 She was missing all morning somewhere inside napping.  After lunch she came to lay on my chest to nap.  I love being close to her so I slept also.  So cozy having her snuggle close to me.  Soooo, no work today.  She makes me feel good.

    I slept ok last night.  No pain for 2 nights.  Except last night I needed to turn my mattress topper over.  What an error on my part.  It turned ok but its covering was all folded & out of shape.  I decided to leave it off.  Trying to put the fitted sheet back on was a joke.  I got the top end on ok but the lower end was a terror.  So I folded my weighted blanket & covered the lower part of the mattress cover then organised it & the blanket kept it in place.  And I slept so much better with a smooth sleeping area.  No wonder my back & hip hurt.  It was lumpy before.  I did see one I might order to replace it with.  And not expensive.  See how this works first.

    Too warm again today.  Almost 70F.  And will only get worse.  Sigh.............

    Next to no texts today.  My one sweet older distant cousin always sends nice sweet texts.  Wish I could meet him.  We do love each other.  So many from that side of my father's family have passed away.  They were all sweet.  And interested in family history.  Never connected with any of the younger ones.

    I think I saw my nephew drive through my yard 3 times.  Nico would have barked to alert me.  He needs to get a loud horn so I know!!! Haha!

    I am watching Oppenheimer.  It is 3 hours long.  Just time to see it before the news & SNL.  It is interesting.

    Photos are from my FB memories.  The city street with clouds is my town's main street looking south..  The building with the sign Wayne's is a postcard of a grocery market from when I was around junior high.  You could call. your order in & pick it up or they would deliver.  The meat man was cool & the meat excellent.  Good memories.

                                

 

    In worse pain today.  I think Cinder knew.  She snuggled with me all night.  Her cuddles are special.

    I had trouble getting out of bed all night.  I think every joint in my body hurt.  I am in a sad "why me" mood so will say no more.  No one understands, no one helps, no one cares, just the life of someone with a chronic disease.

    I cancelled today around 10am.  No work & no supper out.  I hurt so bad I did not care who got upset with me.  Too bad for them.

    I slept extra late but my nap left a lot to be desired.  Short & not too restful.

    Hot again today.  In the 90s.  At least not too sticky outside & a light breeze.  Maybe rain later.  Ha.

    The prairie grasses look different to me this year.  There are some that are almost blue.  Makes for a nice scene with different colors of grasses.  Nice to hear birds in the trees.  Our turkey vultures were no where near today.  They never checked out Nico & I !

    I posted a photo with a winter theme.  Any hurtful comments will be deleted.

    I started a group about my town a few years ago.  There are now over 6,000 members.  I have let things slide for a while & am tired of it.  Either follow the rules or suffer the results.  One lady even argued with me today.  She needs to learn to read.

    Photos were going to be all peonies.  But I got busy playing with photos & then found some old ones I had edited.  That is what I am sharing.

                        

26 January, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Not a good night or day.  I thought my supper dessert was too rich.  Might have been but I stayed sick all night & all today.  No bueno.

    Got home after supper last night & Nico was sickly also.  Clueless as to why.  I looked for clues he got into something but I saw nothing.  He could not potty as he was too busy eating grass.  I would have tried a handful of grass if I thought it might work for me too.

    I got no sleep last night until this morning.  I had an appointment to get the car looked at but cancelled.  Will rescheduled next week.

    I ate some supper but could not finish.  Just was icky.  I am in the process of canceling tomorrow.  A..t least some things.  The thought of Mexican food or even a burger makes me queasier.  😡

    I tried to nap this afternoon but I hurt too much.  My SoftWave treatment has helped but it has no effect on my sciatica.  Dang, that sure hurts.  Surely no fun.  I finally slathered on pain killing cream.  Feel better now.

    Photos are just a mix of things I liked.  The last photo is Willie in his truck, Kajsa-Jo, & Nico.  The Christmas town & Santa I just did today.  The young women are an old old Smoky Valley Roller Mill photo.  The are on the traffic bridge over the Smoky Hill River.  There is also a bridge for the trains.  And a festive photo of me!
