8/2026 - Saturday the 1st- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Per

I have a cousin in Sweden name Per.  Full name is Per Ola.  I have met him.  Nice guy.

    Today went better than I expected.  Last night I was reading email around 4am.  And yikes!!  I saw I worked this weekend.  I quickly texted MH to open & close for me.  Luckily answered right away.  I had a hard time to sleep after that.  I kept changing my alarm time.  I got up much too late but I got me dressed & fed, the cats fed & Daisy fed.  I got more food today so Daisy is ok now.  And I got more V8 Energy drink for me.,  We all are ok now.

    I am tired of trash in my yard.  There is a guy who cleans up messes.  I will gladly pay him to drive out here,  Might have to call him this week & see what he says.  Makes my stress so bad.

    Work was good.  Had a long time artist friend come in to work..  She is now 92.  She lived in a nice house here for many years.   Her house was where my great great grandmother lived &. my great grand mother lived there at the same time.  She gave me a room by room & floor by floor tour once. Only time I ever got in there like that.  Her name is Mary Erickson.  Great artist.  Got to know her & her husband quite well.  Such nice people,

    This week we vote.  And I have an xray on the same day.  Tired. of being busy,  Need some days off,  Not this week,  Think the next week dr, appointmet in Hutch 

    Had our yearly old car show today.  I borrowed on grouping of photos from a friend to share here.  I never go.  Especially when I have trouble walking.

    Not too warm today.  Nice out.  Work was busy.  Lots of people in & out.  Kept me awake.  Had 2 fun people that came in.  No rain in the next couple of days.  There are a couple of days that are maybes.

12/2025 - Domingo the 28th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Jasper, Woodrow

My cousin's father-in-law was Woodrow.

    Had an ok day.  Slept good.  I set my alarm really early to get my water dripping about the time it got really cold.

    Cinder slept with me off & on.  Kisse was near.  Once in the middle of the night there were no cats near me.  Who knows where they were?

    Had a middle of the night photo from MM & Gracie.  But nothing today.  A short email from JL.  Eating something made her ill yesterday so quiet today.  Hope she is better.  CF sent me photos of his now but nothing else.

    We had mist during the night & snow started really early today.  Long before I got up.  I made it out on the porch for a few photos.  I did not move much.  Carport is or was full of snow.  Scared to move much.  And did not try to walk down the steps.  Best to avoid places where I could slip & fall.

    Decided to stay home today.  Lindsborg might be ok but Burma Road could be icy & snow packed.  Best to stay home.  I did read where the interstate was slick & scary.  Maybe eat tomorrow evening.  Roads should be better but still very very cold.

    Spanish is going well.  For now.  And my Mexican friends are flying home today.  How lucky they were to be with family in Mexico.  I can dream.  Had my chance & blew it.

    The Julbok in Gävle Sweden collapsed in a bad storm today or yesterday.  Better than fire!  There is a video of him falling apart!!  Here is a clip from it.  See him lean.  Ended up in a pile of straw.

    I am sick of TV.  Dish has Holiday Dish Scapes.  I am watching some old ones now.  A fave is on now.  And Christmas music.  I never listened to Santa Baby or Blue Christmas.  Do those later.  Been a tough holiday time for me.

    Wish there was something good for supper here.  Boring stuff.  Sigh.  I read about a new cool eating plac/bar opening in Abilene.  It is on my list of places to go.  If. JR cannot get up early to eat at noon I am going alone.  Looks great!!!  I know the street it is on but not exactly where.  Saddles & Spurs.
