I know several Lauras just here in town.  Or know of them.  Must be a common name.

    Had a nice day.  Slept good. Then went to Lindsborg KS to await friends for lunch at the Blacksmith Coffee Shop.  It was a real blacksmith shop from years ago.  I had not been here in several years.  I worried about where to sit but there is tons of seats!  And they have a great menu!!  I had a chicken paremesan quiche.  Excellent.  I will be back often!!

    We had a nice visit.  Good to see my friends.  Always needed.

    Weather is on now.  High winds tomorrow & cold.  The highs on saturday is only in the 20s.  And continued winds.  Brrr.  These cold fronts continue to play havoc with joints.

    I had a nice nap after I  got home.  Cinder was there off & on.  Kisse stayed close.

    I found an early photo of Cinder & was surprised how small she looked.  She is healthier now.  And eats good.

    I actually had a text or two from MM. But I had to text him first.  I might actually see him after work on saturday.  See how the day goes.  Hope I stay warm at work.  Will dress in layers.

    I got tired of my large purse & went back to a smaller one.  Hope that works.  Easier to use.  Time will tell.

    Mailman put a huge box on my porch making it difficult for me to get to my door.  Had KN come move it today.  I hurt too much to try.  I know what is in it ----- kitty litter.  I will need it in a few days but hopefully then I feel some better & can carry it in the house.

    Soon supper time.  No clue what to eat.  Need something new.

    Spanish lessons are a bit easier.  Won't last.  Never does.  But nice when it is a bit easier.

    Watching the stupid national news.  I should not watch.  Makes me sick.  We are hurting the entire world.

10/2025 - Martes the 07th - MY JOURNEY

 

I love this graphic.  Kinds of sums of this time in the year & all the holidays coming up.  Hallo is Halloween.  Thanks is Thanksgiving.  Mas is Christmas.  I really do not get to celebrate any of them.  No family to be with & cannot be in JR's office anymore.  Grumpy owner of the building.  😕

Today's Name Day:  Birgitta, Britta

Know both Birgittas & Brittas.  All in Sweden.  Love these names.

    Had a lonely but ok day.  Heard from MM, CW, JL, & CF.  Not too often.  

    MM & I have set a lunch date.  He is now working for the Sale BARn also.  They have only 1 bartender in their staff.  So he is getting really busy.  But that is ok.  Hope he gets good tips from there.  And he can teach more of the help to create bar drinks.

    I did get a call to see if I could just sit in the Red Barn on Hyllningsfest.  I hated to but I turned it down.  I do not want to be in town that weekend at all.  Had a bad experience behind the SVAFC 2 years ago so home is better.  Feel guilty saying no.  Any other time would be no problem.

    I had a doctor appointment in Wichita this week that I rescheduled.  Just not feeling over my accident.  Better but not normal. 

    Today was odd.  I have sneezed too many times to count!  Allergies??? Cold???  Scares whatever cat is closest to me.  I tried to warn Cinder sitting on my lap.  Her 2nd language of English is really good.  She left before my sneezing fit!!

    We had some rain overnite & this morning.  Got 0.41" here.  That is it for a while.  It is so nice & chilly but the weatherman is giddy over 80s to almost 90s this weekend.  Ick.  Far too warm for here in October.  But next week in the 60 - 70s again.  And chances for rain.  Much better.  Takes the giddiness out of him!!!

    I got my new purse today.  Same style as my old one but larger & everthing fits.  With room to spare.  Nice.  Also found glucose  in individual servings packages.  Small bags to take when needed instead of thick tablets.  See how  they work out.

    No nap today.  Hope I sleep good overnight then.

    Took several bags of trash out to the bins today & yesterday.  Just need all my boxes moved away from here.  Either after a rain or when wheat is sowed.

    The grocery store has a meal of Sloppy Joe beef & buns to buy.  Two containers of beef & 4 buns.  Very tasty.  Need to use more beef but I can use it on other bread too.  Surely healthier  than lunch meat.  And the cost is quite cheap.
