06/2025 Sábado the 07th - JOURNEY

This is my cousin Gottfrid's kitchen window.  It looks out to a meadow where deer are seen often.  Past the trees is a river.  Heaven on earth.  Love staying with him.  He lived near Järvsö Sweden, far north of Stockholm.

Today's Name Day:  Robert, Robin
I have known several Roberts & at least one Robin. The best was Rob from Australia.

Another day at home alone.  Hate being alone with no or little communication with anyone.  I tend to not text anyone that I know will not answer in any way.  I will just share things that people may or may not like.  The most I can hope for is a simple like.  Some get ignored.///
Got to almost 90F here today.  No wind.  Had rain overnite.  I got a whopping 0.25".  Does not help our drought.  Sigh.........
Felt ok mostly.  Took a short nap on the sofa.  Cinder curled on my chest.  Both cats laid in bed with me last night.  Here is a collage of them after we all woke up.  I am eternally thankful for both of them  Kisse is 12 years old.  The first video of Cinder on my porch is Feb. s1, 2022.  No clue how old she is.

Not done much today.  Picked up mail from the porch.  Like to sit outside but there are alway bugs.  I opened the front door last night & got attacked moths.  In my hair!!!!  I sprayed stuff around the door & porch today some stuff that hopefully will drive them away.  Oh, the dreams of fools.........
Found a new tv dinner of chicken alfredo.  One of the best I have had.  Very tasty & does not upset me stomach.  Glad I found it.  I hate to cook.  And it is a waste when it is only me.  Who would care???
Not much else today.  A day of nothing much.  No cushy life for me just doing what I want & letting others make sure I get all I want & need.  I am rarely in a "getting" position.  I am doomed to be a "giver" only.  One friend is looking for someone to share her life with.  I cannot imagine ever being in that position.  There is no one in this world who could love me & want to spend his life with me.  Oh, the dreams of fools........
Tomorrow is supper out.  If I feel ok.  If I don't
stuck at home alone again.
    Photos are a mix.
Love this since I live in the prairie.  Wish it was lush & green here with flowers.

Willie.  Miss him more every day.

This is Marstrand.  The yellow building where I ate breakfast & I shared with a gull & other birds.  Next to it is an open lot where my friend sold his paintings.  The white building next on the left was a restaurant.  They had great pizza.  Up a few blocks is where I slept.  On the front left is a blue ferry I took often to go to the mainland.  White building to the right of the yellow building was a shop.  Then right around the corner was somewhere I liked to go sit.  Great buildings.  The large buildibg on top of the city is a fort.  I never went to it.  Very steep.  I had hurt my feet walking on cobblestone.

13 june, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

Today was a much better day.  I am relieved.  Took my anxiety pill when I went to bed.  Slept pretty good.  After working hard yesterday, I was tired today & took it easy.  Not as hot today but the heat is coming.  Need a few days of hot & windy days to get the wheat ready to cut!!

We have Canadian smoke to arrive here wednesday evening.  They say not as bad as NYC, but it will bother me I am sure.  Great.

I was lazy & had 2 huge piles of boxes I never flattened.  I was lazy.  I set them by the trash bins & they trashed them.  Good to know!!  Will try not to do it too often.

I heard a woodpecker this morning.  Can see one sometimes but not often.  I almost always see an oriole every afternoon.  So pretty.  And I often see bluebirds in our pasture.  They never come near my house.  Gorgeous blue.

Been storms again in western Kansas.  Now I got a warning there are storms nearing us here.  Believe it when I see it.

Good news.  It is 100 days until the astronomical Autumn or 79 days until the meteorological Autumn.

Photos are ones I have taken.  Except the giant Dalahorse.  Not my photo & accidently signed it.

The Plague, Day 115.....

I had a good day! All but one stupid move. In town bought a medium Coke to take home for lunch. Set it on the porch while I carried in groceries from Walmart.  I had trouble getting my purse and in the process I knocked the Coke over. Lost all Coke and all ice. If that is the worst of today, no biggie.

Tonight my brother and I had supper at Jalisco. They were busy!!! Wow! I saw a few masks. More than usual. I am hopeful. One guy in my FB group is absolutely deadset against wearing a mask. To the point of making an ass of himself. He would have been pleased. I think in regards to him the word "deadset" may be apropos.

I had to wear my mask more than usual. People do not know that you wait to order by the front door desk, not back by where I sit. Duh.

When it slowed down, my best friend had time to visit and joke. Nice when we do not see each other too often.

A good friend who has been travelling came in to Jalisco's. We had a good visit. Glad she is home but soon she will move far away. I will miss her more than words can say. I am getting used to being alone most of the time.

While it was my daughter's birthday today, I hardly gave her a thought. And did not shed a tear.

We are now in a severe thunderstorm watch until 5am. Oh joy. Then tomorrow there is a chance for severe weather including 60-80mph winds and hail. Just more joy than I can handle. And on friday also.

Photos today are not mine. They are from one of my favorite pages on fb

French Shabby Lavande

They have the best photos!

Cutting Willie's last sown wheat. Quarantine Day 112.....

One year ago today a large group of my husband’s friends and family gathered to cut the last field of wheat he sowed before he died. This event was organised by our nephew. He is the best and takes good care of me and our farm. And our great nephew was there. I am sure the thought he was in charge.

As the combines and tractors came driving up I was over come with emotion. I had tears watching. We had 7 combines and 3 tractors in my field. Our niece came soon so I sat and talked to her.

It was great to see some friends I had not seen for a long time as they had moved.

Our neighbor saw all these combines driving by his farm so he jumped on his. He just knew something was going on and did not want to be left out!! Actually they were still cutting theirs so we had not called them!

I fed them all pizza. Too many to cook for!! I have never spent that much at Pizza Hut in my life! I would have paid double!

There are no words of praise for this group of men. They are the best of the best. I will be grateful to them for the rest of my life. Bless each one of them.

While they ate we shared lots of memories and laughs. I am sure Willie was there enjoying it all. Nice to see how loved he was and still is.

Quarantine Day 103......

Had a mostly great day!! Started my day with great looking hair. That is nice! Then lunch at Jalisco's with an artist friend who is leaving for home this weekend. I hate to see him go. He is good to talk to. He will be back next June.

Went home to take a short nap. Then picked up my brother and back to Jalisco's. At noon I told the manager to get my shrimp ready!! Good food. It was so fun to see the staff so often.

While there my best friend's new boss in construction came in. Nice to meet him. He praised his work. I already knew. He does beautiful work.

They were busy tonight and not one mask did I see. After I ate I finally put mine on. Group of people near me gathering and talking and laughing. Take it elsewhere!! Sheesh.

Last night Kisse woke me up with her breathing. She was sort of wheezing. I had no idea if she ate something or had a hairball. I picked her up and loved her. She is not cuddly and usually fights to get down but not last night. Nico and I went outside and by the time we all were in bed again, her breathing was ok. But today she was nicer to me since I was loving. I would always be loving but she usually just runs. Silly girl.

Hot today. Saw 98F. And humid. Ick. Still 83F at 930pm. In a severe weather watch until 4am. Great.

I stopped to see Willie and noticed some harvesters across the  road.  I took photos.

Photos tonight are the first 3 are from a few years back with Willie and harvest. Every thing else is todays photos. Seeing the harvesting made me kind of sad. I miss it. Oh, well. My time is over. No one wants me around anymore.
