National Amaretto Day

Today's Name Day: Ola, Olaus

    What a busy, busy day!!!
    Day did not start well.  Time to eat lunch & needed more insulin.  None is the fridge!!!  I looked high & low!!!  None to find.  I called for a new box to get before they close this afternoon.  AFTER I called I found my old box on the kitchen floor by the fridge.  It fell out.  But how long was it there???  Decided to get the new box to be safe.

    It was cold out so Cinder was in & out twice.  Came in as I was leaving.  Smart cat.

    Had my hair app't to cut, color, & style.  Long app't.  But nice to be pampered!!!

    After hair, I rushed home to see if Cinder wanted out.  No one in the house moved.  But I had forgotten to empty the kitty litter from the night so needed to be there.  Then I scooted off to town to get my insulin.  Almost was too late!!!  

    Then picked up pizzas & went to LL's house for supper.  Ahhh.  Time to relax & chat!!  Very nice.  Good conversation.  We solved several problems in not only our world but the world in general.  Now if people would just listen.  😃

    I called JR to see if he wanted my last 3 pieces of pizza & he did so I delivered on the way home.

    MM was bartending at the Legion tonight.  If I  was not so tired I would have stopped in for a drink,  Next week maybe.

    When I got home Cinder ran outside.  Get her in here soon.  She slept with me all night last night.  Much less pain with no fronts arriving here for a few days.  Middle of next week changes come.  This weekend is quite cool.  Good.  Keep the heat away as long as possible!

    Busy again tomorrow.

11 may, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Slept OK.  No rain here overnight.  Severe storms to the west again this afternoon but we got nothing again.  They kept forecasting severe weather & had me almost scared then nothing here.

    Had my monthly hair app't.  Today I got cut, colored, & styled.  A different style.  I like it.  See how it does sleeping on it.  Hoping for the best.

    Not much else today.  I was moving slow again today.  Took a nap when I got home.  Feel better.

    We continue to have multiple moths around my porch.  I turn NO lights on in the dark.  They are horrible.  It is called an eclipse of moths.  Yuck.  Will be here another couple of weeks.  Then they die or head west.  Why wait!?  Head west now!!

    Added more photos to my genealogy.  Some I cannot find.  Dang.  May turn up later.

23 november, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    A nice quiet day.  Slept well.  No pain.  All fur kids are ok.  Cinder did not like what I fed her at noon.  She actually cried at the door for more.  Good for her!  I am thinking of trying her in the house.  Will see.  When it gets frigid cold I feel so guilty leaving her out.  Just cruel.

    I had a hair app't today.  Got my hair cut, colored, & styled.  I feel better.  Always good to see HP.  Fun to talk to & he gives me nice attention.

    Then I rushed home to take Nico out & fix my makeup.  Then to get JR.

    We ate at Jalisco's.  Good to see them all.  Our friend PM that usually eats with us was there too.  And he is joining us tomorrow for Thanksgiving tomorrow.  Better for him not to be alone.  Holidays are so hard.  He does have family & grandkids but his car is not good so he cannot drive to be with them.

    Weather not bad.  In the 50s but cooler tomorrow & maybe rain moving our way.  I hope.

    Photos today are from a road trip JR & I took a while back.  Today they are from Burdick KS.  I was surprised to discover it is a Swedish town.  Some of the things in the photos no longer are there.  Been torn down.  There is a meat store in town that is supposed to be excellent.  I need to go shopping there.  More photos on another day.

                

29 september, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Slept well last night.  Nice.  I could have slept all day!!!  But had a hair app't.

    I had called my doctor yesterday but no one called me back.  I got a call this morning.  Someone I did not know.  I gave her my details then she talked to the dr.  She called me back with new insulin orders.  Hope that works.  Time will tell.  It was too late for lunch so I started at supper.  I have never felt bad except when I checked the first time.  Since then I have felt normal.  I might feel ok but I have been shaky with my high blood sugar readings.

    Had my hair app't in Salina.  Always nice.  HP is always caring & fun.  And makes me look good.  And I always get a hug.  Not all his customers do.

    I stopped at Hickory Hut for beef & baked beans.  That was for supper.  Hard to drive home smelling the good food!  Baked beans are the best ever.  Lots of meat in it.

    I had time to just rest & catch my breath until time to eat.  Nico napped near me.

    Watched CNN in Florida.  Beyond scary.  The sad stories.  Did no one evacuate like they were told?  Hope my family is ok  Have not texted in case they have no electricity.

    Got a couple of packages in the mail.  I need to lock Nico up while I open them.  He is a mess.  His nose is in the middle of things.  He steals what he can.  Then makes a mess.

    The nice weather must have given Cinder spring fever!  She was curled up under a chair when I left for my app't.  In the same place when I got home.  Sweet.

If it is your birthday & you eat in Jalisco's the entire staff will sing to you.  And JS has a large spoon full of whipped cream to spread on your nose.  It is a Mexican custom that on your birthday your face ends up in your cake.  This is his favorite job!!
