Today's Name Day:  Disa

    My day did not start good.  I wanted to go to Hutchinson.  But when I got up this morning I could barely walk.  I could not even stand up straight.  I did not want to cancel but I know I cannot travel or walk through a hospital clinic like this.  I rested on the sofa & took some pain pills.  After lunch I was better.  I half heartedly put on make up & got dressed.  And took off,

    I was ok driving & got to the clinic & walked in fine.  I got a stack of papers I had to sign.  Had to sign my name 7 times.  No problem.  Going back to my car was ok.  I had a close parking place.

    On the way home I wanted some ice cream.  Stopped in McPherson at Dairy Queen to get a hot fudge sundae.  Hit the spot!!!  I deserved it.  Then home for a short nap.

    It did not get too cold last night.  It was 50F my house when I left today.  Lindsborg was in the 40s.  Got to Hutch in was in the 50s.  After being inside the wind had really come up!!  Trash day tomorrow but no boxes moving out to near the trash bins.  The closer I got to home the lower the temperature got.  Right now it is 29F.  Cold.  Staying in.

    On the weather at supper they are forecasting icy roads on wednesday.  No!!!  Work day!!!  And next week snow all over Kansas.  Won't say how much is expected though.  Too early.

    Got home & decided to leave the couple of trash bags in the house & fill the second empty trash bin with boxes,  It held quite a few.  Looks better outside.

    Saw a huge number of geese flying near some water.  If I was not driving I could have heard them.  Cool.

    Feeling ok tonight.  Probably because the front has passed by.  I am sure that is why I hurt so bad this morning.

National Bologna Day

I usually have roast beef lunch meat but they were out.  I actually have bologna here at home.  Will fix a sandwich for supper to celebrate!!! 😀

Today's Name Day: Eilert, Evert

    Not a bad day.  Slept so-so.  Windy & too warm today.  Cold front is almost here.  Rain will be east of us.

    Three fires in Kansas.  Wichita has two fires,  One is on or near the soccer complex  JR & I used to go to soccer games.  A grass fire.  Complex not harmed.  Having trouble getting it out.  Many hot spots.  New fire just now near Cottonwood Falls.  Think I  got the city correct.  Next week the winds are worse.  Gusts up to 60mph.  Dang!!!!

    I had the AC set for a resonable temp but I felt cold all day.  Just turned the heat on.  Set very low.  I feel better.

    Having minimal pain today.  Trying my new pain pills.  I think they might help a bit.  Easy to take.  They dissolve the minute they touch your tongue.  No taste.

    My group on FB of Lindsborg Now has had rules since forever that we do not allow political or religious posts.  One individual posted twice that he wanted signs for. his yard.  I deleted both of them.  And posted a warning that a third post would result of being banned.  He is a Maga person.  A Harris person posted there was going to be a walk in town for Harris.  It was deleted within 4 minutes.  That really made Mr. Maga upset so he posted a Maga walk in town.  His third political post.  I banned him & his post.  Done with people who cannot follow our rules.  My assistant admin said that since both  Maga posts & a Harris post have been deleted we are "eaqual opportunity deleters!"  I like that!!!  😊

    Cold front is here.  Was 84F here but now is 79F.  Great.  A shame we have no chance for rain.  As usual.  Radar shows storms from Wichita up to Kansas City.  No where near me.

    Did text with KN.  I assume he is cutting milo again.  Probably good we don't have rain yet.  Fun to see him & his son working yesterday.

Neywick cattle bonding with me.  Anxious for them to come home again.  Soon I hope.

Church in Sunneno Sweden.  Our mother church.  When I visited it I saw a large photo of my church here with members in front of it including me. in  Cool.  Then we attended church on sunday.  They sang one of my fave Swedish hymns for me.  I was able to sing the first verse then I cried.  And cried.  Very moving.

Car owned by a local man.  Wish I had one.  How fun.

21 april, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I had a good day.  Except I had a water leak in my bathroom.  Called my nephew KN & he came over & figured out what it might be.  And now there is no leak!!!  Great!!  I was waiting for things costing lots of money!! I expected him working all afternoon but not here more than 15 minutes here.  So I got a nice nap!!

    JR & I ate at Jalisco's for supper.  They were busy early.  But it was not noisy.  One lady at the next table said Hello & called me by my name.  I have no idea who she was.  But I figured out where she is from so I am sure I know her.  I am terrible with names.  Always have been.

    Nice weather today.  Calm & a bit cooler.  Wind came up for a short time.  Nice tonight again.  Cold coming & snow??

    JS & I video chatted tonight.  Good to see him & talk to him.  Had a good talk.  Talked & saw SM too.  Good to see him too!

20 april, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Today was a great day!  I did not sleep well but it was because of stormy weather with a half inch of rain.  Winds sounded worse here than they were.  I was relieved after taking Nico outside.  Was hoping for more rain, but I will take a half inch anytime.  I dozed before 6am & slept after then.  So I needed a nap.  And for once it was a really restful, calm time.  Nico must have spring fever.  He is so calm.  Very odd.

    There was a tornado NE of us.  No one hurt/died & the town not totally devasted.  That town has a historic court house & it is ok  It is gorgeous!  Want to visit sometime.

    I have been trying to sign up to my propane company's website.  I finally called for help.  And paid my bill over the phone.  THEN I figured out what I was doing wrong & all went well.  I prefer to pay bills online.  Easier.  Paper bills get misplaced.

    Cinder is enjoying the nice temps.  Even the wind does not bother her.  She was out part of the night but came in before the rain.  She would have been ok.  Porch never got wet.  She has been in & out today.

    I had my left over Swedish pancakes for lunch.  Butter & sugar make a big difference.  And bacon & lingonberries.  Very good.  I plan to buy just the pancakes to take home.  Then fix them how my dad & I always ate them.  We ate our pancakes with butter & sugar only.  Must be a regional thing in Sweden.  Not all Swedes eat them that way.  My mom only used butter & syrup.  Sooo wrong! 😊  We teased her!

    A while ago I bought a cooking dish to make pasta in the microwave.  Got brave & tried it.  Perfect.  Five minutes on high & I have pasta.  I need to heat some sauce too or they get too dry.  That was supper today.  I cannot find things that even sound good but these did today.

    Sat out off and on today.  Nico did not even seem to enjoy being out.  Hope he is ok.  His eating is ok but soo relaxed.  Odd.

    I got asked to work at the SVAFC in a few days.  Hope I can.  I really miss being there.

    On both sides of the approximately 40-metre long fish market hall, the sales counters are lined up with a huge range of freshly caught fish, shellfish and crustaceans as well as prepared dishes and ready-to-eat snacks.

    There is also a restaurant.  I did get to walk through it but late in the day.  They were getting ready to close.  But very cool.

                    

17 november, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I almost froze last night.  The low was 23F & the high was 41F.  I saw about 5 flakes of snow.  Be still my beating heart!!

    My heat was not restored yesterday.  My house got down to 59F over night.  Way too cold in here.

    The repair company for my heater called at noon.  Repairman came after lunch.  It was nothing serious.  I was so worried.  The house is up to 70F inside.  I had to take my sweater off.  I am anxious to sleep in my bed instead of the sofa.  Although I did sleep well last night.  And Kisse even slept in the nest I made for her.  Good for her.

    I even had several text messages today.  That is not normal.  Helps.  And I noticed that on FB I usually get maybe 3-4 readers.  Last few days there was like 6.  That is really odd.  It is nice.

    I had little pain last night but with a cold front moving in, I am hurting a little.

    I made a decision that I am not sending Christmas cards out this year.  I get too stressed.  We do not celebrate in a family way so why bother.  And if I get any I am not sending to them either.  Too stressful.  Christmas is always upsetting since Mom died on Christmas Eve.  That was the end.  I used to have a Christmas tree up. BUT.  Kisse ended that.  Dang.  It was pretty.
