08/2025 - Miércoles the 027th- JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Raoul, Rolf

    Had a good day.  Slept fair.  Less low blood sugar.  Lowered my insulin one unit today.  See if that helps.

    Started raining this morning.  I had an umbrella in the car.  Never got closed so when I tried to grab on to it it got stuck.  I had to walk around the car to get it but then the door would not unlock.  As I turned to walk back around my foot go caught on a branch &  almost fell.  Scared me really bad.  If the umbrella had been put away the right way it would not have happened.  Damn.

    I was late getting to work.  And stressed.

    RA ruled today.  Had a new pain never had before.  😱. Walking was a challenge.

    Made great strides on my photos.  I sent two photos to people they were taken of.  Heard from one of them.  Fun.  It used to be a "thing" that when you traveled you took a copy of the local newspaper & then took a photo of you reading it on vacation.  That is what all these photos are of.  People, places, newspapers.  It is not done anymore.

    Supper was at the Sale BARn.  I had shrimp again.  Very good but too many fries.  Dessert was ice cream.  I will hate when they close for winter again.  But now the drive through is open maybe they could stay open some.  Hamburgers are good & so is the ice cream.

    Jalisco's is now ready to open tomorrow.  Tables & chairs were moved in today.  I won't make it there until friday.  I am anxious!!

08/2025 - Viernes the 22th - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Henrietta, Henrika

Knew a Henrietta who was a neighbour & mother of a good friend.

    Had a very good day after an awful night. I went to bed & then I could not find my glucose sensor reader.  I searched the entire house more than once.  It was nowhere.  I was sure that when my blood sugar got too high or too low & then it would beep.  No beep all night.

    After I was dressed for lunch I called the company who makes my sensor to order a new one.  They were super nice & one is on the way.  Be here in 5 days.  Right after we said goodbye I heard my sensor beep softly.  It was somewhere in the bedroom.  Never found it.

    Then I got home tonight after supper I went to take a nap & then I saw it.  Nap never happened.  Could not relax. Cinder did cuddle with me.  I have changed my sensor.  It has to sit for one hour before it works,  Now up & blogging & waiting.

    Lunch with LL at the White Peacock.  Got a table which is always nice.  Good visit.  Most of the kids who came in ordered then left.

    Then I worked at the SVAFC.  I was a bit tired, but kept busy.  Visitors were sort of steady.  Lots of kids walking by but not coming in.  One lady did come in who knew our artist.  We had a great conversation.

    There was a huge bouquet of wildflowers on the desk in the gallery,  I will have photos of it tomorrow.  I see no flowers anywhere near where I live.  Sad.  No photos for me then.

    Supper was at the Sale BARn.  Did not know any of the workers.  But they all were nice.  I had the shrimp basket with potato wedges.  Next time just curly fries.

    Weather was a bit warm.  Cooler on sunday.  I hope.

    Photos are more flowers.  They are again from the Rosberg House a few years ago.  They all got replanted this summer.  I hope to get some new photos soon.

I sure miss my baby.  The pain never stops.
