05 october, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Slept good with no pain.  A major miracle.  Cool sleeping weather.  Our temps were 53 & 79.  Near perfect.

    Not a word about being stood up for lunch yesterday.  Nada.  I am just at the end of my rope.  I am tired of people asking me to do something or meet them & then it never happens.  I almost to the point of not caring at all.  Does not seem fair to me in any way.

    My blood sugars are normal.  It is so exciting!  And scary.  Never taken so much insulin in my life!!  I usually share with my grandson but have not today.  Wish he would contact me with just a photo.  Or his sugars.

    Supper was good.  Our friend PM is around my age.  He said that he enjoys talking about "old times & people" from our youth.  I enjoy those talks too.  Not all who we remember are still here.  Good to have someone to remember with.

    A good friend who recently moved very far away is back here for her class reunion.  Saw her tonight.  And got to meet her sister.  She is a couple years older than Willie so we were not in school together.

    Last time at Jalisco's I learned a new sentence in spanish.  And I remembered it tonight!!  I am proud of me!!  There is a tiny bit of hope.

    My brother shared some things I did as a child.  Whether I did them all or not, I always got blamed & punished all the time.  Probably where my karma comes from.  I remember very little of my childhood.  What I remember most are things where I was alone or with neighbour kids.  Family memories are very rare.  Even the large family gatherings.  I never fit in.  All my cousins were too young for me.  And I was too young for the adults.  I sat alone.  If I tried to play as the other kids I got yelled at.  Wrong again.  And generally not pleasant for me.  No wonder my life is as it is.  Karma is no fun.  I used to pray for forgiveness for all I had done but nothing ever changed.  I gave it up.

    Nico is too busy tonight.  When I am gone he sleeps.  But he is being good.  For a change!!

Wandering, 12 october 2021

    Had a nice day.  Very windy all day.  Some rain in the afternoon.  Nothing severe.  That comes later tonight.  Kind of cool all day.  I finally weakened and turned the heat on just a little.

    Met 3 friends at the White Peacock.  Only had an hour but we got a lot said!! Solved the world's problems if only someone would listen!

    I had supper at Jalisco's.  The were packed again.  I got the last booth.  I told JS to do his work and get to me when he had time.  We are friends.  No big deal.  We had just time for a quick chat.

    Nico is driving me crazy.  He is into everything!!  Maybe the change in weather or because I dared to be gone and have a nice day.

Wandering Through Life, 8 september 2021

     What awesome weather!! If it would just last!!  I saw 58F last night. Great for sleeping.  No AC running.  Just nice all day.  But will be short lived.  Back in the 100s this weekend.  No rain until next week.  Then cooler.

    Today was a work day.  I love being at the Old Mill.  The director had a cookie for me when I got there.  Yummy!  Scanned lots of photos.  Someone brought in lots of match books.  There was an old old one from my town.  Had a semi nude woman on the back!  Made me smile!

    My brother, a friend, and I ate at Jalisco’s. Great food and good conversation.  But my hiatal hernia acted up and I got sick.  Went home early and took a short nap.  OK now.  Not a good way to end the evening.

    Nice to be around my friends in Jalisco’s.  Nice to feel liked.  And get a few hugs, hands held, and laughs.  JS called me at work.  He has a project he needs help with.  Fun times ahead!  He is the best and always makes me feel needed and wanted.  And they alll make me laugh!

    I saw a huge mushroom near my carport.  It is so dry I rarely see any.  There was a smaller one also.

Wandering Through Life, 10 august, 2021

        Always be kind. Wear a mask if needed. Avoid toxic people and situations. The Delta Variant is starting to grow here fast. My mask is back on.

        Weather here at the Saraha Desert West hot and humid. We are in a drought again and need rain. Some rain near us but nothing here. Maybe 5 drops here.

        Good day today. I had an eye exam today to check for damage from a RA med. All is ok just need to use drops 4x a day. That is doable. Then tonight had a board meeting of our historical group. I am on the board as secretary. Then there is a program afterwards. I refuse to stay. Too small a space. Too many people I have no clue who they are, no masks, no idea if anyone is vaccinated. Nope. I leave. Took myself out to Jalisco's for supper. They were medium busy. Good to see every one.

        I read an interesting post on FB about thinking about your life differently. Instead of me taking notes at a board meeting I could write "I attended an ancient tribal meeting and I was the official note taker." So you may see me posting weird things. Change is good!!

         My last intention on the New Moon said something about getting out of my rut ----- get out, go places, travel, go alone or with others, do new stuff. So I am going to try. I ate alone tonight. I used to all the time and now I rarely do. Actually I ate alone this noon in Salina. I am gaining!

        Good day today. Had lunch with an artist friend who is here for August. Wish he lived closer. Good friend. We had lunch. Will see him again this week and lunch again next week.
