9/2026 - Friday the 25th - MY JOURNEY

This photo always makes me cry. What a loss for our town.

Today's Name Day: Tryggve

Today was a good day. The night was so-so. Trouble sleeping. Then rain started. Heavy for a while.

Met LL for lunch at the White Peacock. Tried a new sandwich ---- Det Bäste. Means "the best". Forget what kind of bread but the meat was turkey, bacon, ham, & lingonberries. Excellent. Next time they can skip the turkey & add another slice of bacon.

I ordered a new purse that looked roomier. It is. Holds all that is important & feels lighter. And I look better than with it than with the old purse.

I was just out to check on Daisy. It is raining & I can see lightning & hear thunder. Hope it scares the wildlife away. Might be too wet for Daisy to go under the house. Porch is better. Or under the car.

Work was ok. On my last Grondal group of photos. Next are different photographers. Had some cool photos today. Names or greetings on the back of a few. Fun. One was taken around 1922.

Supper was at Jalisco's. It was quiet for a while. Then a huge crowd appeared.

Last night my left eye got super painful in bed. No idea why, I found some eye drops. Sort of helped. Briefly, This afternoon at work it got really painful & hard to see. And got worse after eating supper. I just wanted to leave. JR was clueless to my pain. I was all ready to leave. When we left I was able to get home before I started crying. All alone with Daisy. A quien le importa. Always alone with no one for support or caring. Fighting tears again now. I ordered my usual eye drops. Get here tomorrow. Will try to do laundry tomorrow. Pain or no pain. I have some trash that really needs to be carried out. Maybe. See how much pain I have. A quien le importa.

Hope it rains all night, Large radar area of rain, I can dream.

This is in our house that burned down. I can guarantee this cake was not for me. I never got a cake in my adult life until José became my friend. My mom-in-law celebrated everyone's birthday but never mine.

9/2026 - Saturday the 19th - MY JOURNEY

Thunderstorm during supper

Today's Name Day: Fredricka

I had a friend who named his dog this name. She was adorable.

Today was a good day. Slept good. A new pillow has helped. I have 4 pillows on or near my bed, None are comfy any more. I saw one I hoped would do the trick. Bought it. Super soft & large. I can turn it however I want, Like it. Hope that lasts.

I slept late & no nap. Got ready to go eat supper at Jalisco's with N&C. I managed a burger & fries. I have bought some pills to take with each meal to calm my tummy from anything unpleasant. They taste good & seem to work,

While eating a super cell storm broke. Not for long but it rained hard with strong winds. Fun to watch through the windows. I checked when I got home. I got .94" of rain at home. Miracle!! Maybe KN can plant wheat soon. Jalisco's got .68"

Nice to see our friends & chat. We both have had health problems to stop our meeting.

Did some texting with JL. Supposed to meet MM but he went home & won't answer my phone calls. He is probably upset with me. I was quite tense last night. Worried about going broke. I apologized but probably did not matter.

A quien le importa.

Daisy did not wake up when I drove up to the house. Took her a while. But she had food & water. Probably gone now.

Street dance is next saturday. I am not going. No one to sit with or talk to. Not sure what band. No chair. No one would care if I am there or not. Especially now. Better to rest.

Washed clothes overnight. Now to hang them up. Not motivated. But will get to it.

When Willie could harvest he would clean out the combines in our yard, The turkeys loved it. Now no wheat & no turkeys.

Local band I think called the Blue Dozen. Awesome. Not sure. As soon as JR printed it he found something cool in the next photo.

8/2026 - Tuesday the 4th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day: Arne , Arnold

I have known an Arnold in Willie's family. Maybe 2. I have known of an Arne or two.

Today was part good & part really bad. The chips I ate for supper last night made me soooo sick, My stomach was sick all last night. And most of today. I took meds. Did not help. Almost cancelled my xray. But I managed.

I had lunch then off to LBK to the hospital. Fast to the ladies room then all was ok. Xray was easy. Only had to lay flat. After got home had a text from Dr Baxa. Good news!

They mispelled his name. Baxa not box. Nice to know something is good.

Next to Falun to vote. I was confused some of the time. Should have had a list candidates. But the important issues I got right. Whew!!

Got home & tried to nap. Just rested. Supper will be China leftovers. JL. China is across the street from Jalisco's!!

Daisy did not hear me for lunch. I never turned the TV on. I had to call & call to wake her. But when I got home she came running. And watched me park. Sweetie!!

Watching my soaps. Then spanish tonight. Work tomorrow but need food for supper at work. Stupid.
