20 January, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Busy day but nothing major.  All good.  Slept ok with little pain.  My left wrist seems to be the one pain that is pretty constant.  Cinder was in half the night.  And in once today.

    I met my grandson CF for lunch at Jalisco's.  We have decided to make this a weekly date.  Want to keep in touch.  There are others that I should do the same with but they are too busy.  Had a good visit.  And always good to be with the staff there.  Headed into JS's last week here.  I cannot talk about it.  Far too painful.

    This afternoon my nephew came over with a new water heater that I can actually shower & shampoo with hot water.  What a miracle.  I really do not ask for much but so rarely get what I need.

    Then tonight JR & I went back to Jalisco's.  They were not too busy.  Saw 2 friends there.  Always good to be there.

    The weather was calm.  Everything was frosty this morning.  Snow is headed our way.  We can get up to 4 inches.  Right now the storm is on the Colorado  Kansas state line.  I am worried about driving tomorrow.  Wish I could stay home.

    Photos are a mix of things.  The old brick hotel was in Lindsborg.  Unfortunately the city tore it down recently.  Sad to lose history.  Hard to talk about.

                        

19 January, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Had a nice day.  Slept good with the fur kids near.  Cinder was in most of the night.  I like that.

    Got down in the 20s last night.  Today we saw the 40s.  Very cloudy this afternoon.  Tomorrow snow will start in the evening & through saturday.  We are forecast for up to 3 inches.  Hope only snow.  I have to go to town saturday.

    Today I finally got my hair done.  Went a little shorter.  I like it.  Always good to see HP.  He is always nice & funny.  I even made him laugh.  Cool moment.  He told me about a show he likes I will look up.  Sounds good.  Called Vienna Blood.

    I wanted to wash my car but it is closed for now.  Dang.  Will have to learn the one in Lindsborg.

    I stopped at Arby's for a sandwich & apple turnover for supper.  Very tasty.

    In the last year I have actually lost 20 pounds.  No one has noticed.  I even have a new outfit that was sort of obvious but no noticed the outfit or me.  I just don't run with people who notice much about me.  I miss those times when I did.

    Photos are a mix.  The church photo was taken many, many years ago.  Those bricks are still there but they are covered & the church is now white.

                    

13 november, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Very cold last night.  Temps were 21F & 49F.  And a strong breeze.  Snow forecast on monday.  Not holding my breath.  We are in a winter weather advisory though.  I am home tomorrow.

    Yesterday in the late afternoon I had Nico outside.  There was one of our two deer that are here often.  He was in the driveway.  He appeared to be fascinated with us.  He stood & watched for a long time before joining the other deer. So fun to see.

    Last night after midnight I had Nico outside.  I could hear a flock of geese flying overhead.  That was a first.

    I have had constant pain in my right hip/leg & my left hand since yesterday.  No amount of pain creams help.  Hope it is just the changing weather.  Trouble walking overnight.  A bit better today.

    Cinder has even laid in the sun on the porch today.  Not so frigid cold.  At night, I do not see her.  She is hunkered down somewhere.

    Photos today are of heavy snow from the early 1900s.  I find them fun to see.

                

Surviving the Pandemic, Day 398....

Uneventful day. Very quiet. I had an appointment that I rescheduled. I go when I am up to going.

Weather was ok. Temp in the 50s. Mostly sunny until late afternoon. Wind came up also. Our forecast is for 3 inches of snow starting tonight. I am excited but in the minority. A shame we cannot have a normal winter.

Our yard has many rabbits. They lay under the car and drive Nico crazy! Had a large one who finally moved but did not run away. Fun to see up close.

I had a sweet surprise today. A good friend from Morocco video chatted with me. Nice to visit. I wish we could meet in person.

When I wrote the first part of this blogg it was 50F. I just looked. We are down to 36F. Brrr.

Photos today are photos from the past. I have photos from 5 years ago of my last dog. I cannot bare to look at them. He did not live long. I still grieve.
