Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 321....

 A surprise day! JS called me early. We went back to Wichita. I am used to doing this and enjoying myself. We must do this every so often!

Again with the help of OnStar we traveled around Wichita. I was changing lanes, had my signal on, no one to be seen. All of a sudden there is a fast moving car trying to pass. What an idiot. Sure scared us!

We ate at El Agave again, in a booth off away from others. I had a beef and cheese burrito. Quite good!

I was very tired today and so was JS. I wanted my sofa and he longed for his bed. Did I have a good nap or what! I sort of remember Nico barking and running but barely woke up. Probably my nephew driving through checking cattle. No rain today, only clouds. Some mist during the night. Will be warm midweek then rain or snow. And much colder.

I have a distant relative on my dad's side. I was friends with two of his sisters who have since died. I liked them. He started texting me. He was an alcoholic many years ago. He writes me and others daily. Always is loving and full of compliments. We most likely will never meet but he is important to me. He is not in great health but always 'positive attitude.

Tomorrow is groceries and more sleep.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 318....

 What a day. I took JS to Wichita looking for a different car. His car has broken down. We went all over town. Fun! I enjoyed my day out. Would have been more fun if a car was found. Had 2 that almost made it.

We had lunch at Agave. I had shrimp in a cream sauce, rice, and fried potatoes. Very good.

I am really tired. Will sleep good tonite.

Nico is boarded at the vet's. I am sure he is heart broken. Home tomorrow.

The Plague, Day 139......

Slow day. Great weather. Lindsborg had a car show. JR went early and it was so pleasant. I am sure he got some awesome photos.

I picked up groceries at Walmart around 11am. Then drove through Arby's to get lunch. Funny thing. A lady was parked next to me at Walmart and as I left Arby's she was driving in to order take out! Great minds think alike!!

Talked to no one at home. Too quiet. 

Last night after giving JG his hypo I developed a pain in my upper arm. It frequently hurts but tonight it was one little deep pain about where you get a hypo? Was it sympathy pains for JG?

Nico has been odd. He never bothers me when we are napping. He woke me twice today. No real reason. We went out but had to beg him to potty. In the house I gave him treats and water. He never was happy. No idea why. Now that supper is over, he is better.

The Plague, Day 116.....

I had a great day!! Started with an appointment with my financial advisor. I had some papers for him. And he had some good news for me. My investment is doing quite well. I was shocked! He is one of the nicest men I have ever known. He always makes me smile and feel better. Told him I would be back next week!!! Hahaha

I needed stamps and dreaded going to the Salina post office. It used to be busy. Not today.  I parked by the door and got waited on right away. Cool.

Salina was a joy. Everyone had masks on. There was an occasional person without but not many. Lindsborg should look so good. Starting with the "mask guy" in my group.  ople like him put all of us at risk.

Worked on taxes all afternoon. Won't be ready by wednesday. Accountent knows it. I swore I would be better than Willie. I have failed!!

Supper was at Jalisco's. They were really busy. That is good! Will be back tomorrow.

Had rain overnight. A whopping half inch. Maybe more tonight. And tomorrow. Time will tell.

Today is my grandson's birthday. I think he was at work. Might have celebrated with his mom or dad. I miss him. He is a good guy. They used to live near us so I got to see them often. It was so much fun in those days. Love you!!

Photos are from today. The cars are from Thursday Night Cruisers from Salina. They usually go to our nursing home but it is in lockdown so they can only drive by. There is a photo of my grandson and I. And the photo of Willie and the showgirls was in Las Vegas. I had to pay to take it but it was worth it. A large group of his friends all got together to celebrate several birthdays. It was his 70th. I even go to go also.

Mostly home today but made an escape tonight. It was heaven to be "free"! I went to town to fill the car with fuel. One never knows what the future holds. I went to my brother's office. We ordered in pizza. It was sooo good! I thanked them for staying open!

When I fueled the car, I sprayed the pump thoroughly with sanitizer! I took no chances!!

My best friend got a new car so he stopped by to show it off. Very nice car. Not quite as new as my car but his has some of the bells and whistles like mine. He is loving it! So nice to see him and my brother.

I was very careful and no contact with anyone. Still pretty scared. Kansas has added several more cases. I just heard that Italy has now exceeded China in deaths. So sad.

Quick trip to town tomorrow. I have meds to pick up and think I will get some cash just to have "in case". And take out from Jalisco's.

Our weather got up to 70s today. Too warm. I prefer winter so I am not happy. The house got extra warm. I finally turned on my AC. Whew. Helped. But west of us it is a blizzard. High winds and snow. Tomorrow we are extra cold. Temps falling now. Our weather is such a mess. And no one cares.

My cousin called and we talked for 2 hours. Needed to talk to her. We have always been really honest with each other about our lives. Nice. Wish we could see each other but she lives too far away. Hope we can travel soon.

I am still not doing much on FB. I am so sick of the same old jokes. Think I have seen the same 3-4 over and over. And the same complaints or denials or insults. Tired of it all. My posting was bad too but no more. I focus on sites that are positive with nice messages/photos. Keeps me happier.

No sleep last night. None. I was not restless or stressed. Just awake. I finally fell asleep around 9am and slept until 130pm. Hope tonight is better. But this morning both fur kids were curled up around me. I got some cute photos. Worth it being awake then.

I had a dr. appointment this week that I cancelled. Did not want to be in a several story clinic with sick people. This morning my eye surgeon called to cancel my appointment next week. I had planned to call them today anyway. I need eye surgery but it can wait. No problem.

I wish everyone would stay home. No need to be running around, partying, getting drunk, etc. They simply do not think about how selfish they are. And too many think it is "just the flu". How I wish.
