10 november, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    How quickly life has changed!!  For the better!!  Around 5am Nico was insisting to go outside.  I thought it was a bit soon, but I finally gave in.  Got to the door & heard a strange sound.  Cinder was on the porch!  And she was starving.  Nico must have heard her.  After Nico went in I sat outside for a while to bond with her while she ate.  I wonder if she got trapped in a farm building & had no way out.  She does roam but not for 3 days.  So glad she is back.  So is Nico.

    The wind was horrendous yesterday.  Up to almost 50mph.  Today it is much better.  Sat outside with Nico & Cinder for a while.  It was pleasant.  Nice to have the kids interacting.  A good day.

    I am very aware a cold front is here & more coming.  I have an assortment of pains.  If I find a position sitting or laying down that is comfy, I do not move until I have to.

    Had a doctor's appointment in Wichita today but I cancelled.  Just not up to it & did not want to be gone so long with Cinder just back home.  Good decision.  I have learned to follow my gut feelings.  Covid sure took a lot out of me.

    Cold weather tomorrow & they have mentioned snow for monday.  I try not to get excited.  I love snow.

Wandering, 09 march 2022

    What a great day!!!  When I woke up this morning I heard something strange.  My furnace was working again!!!  It would just be temporary.  Shortly after that the phone rang and it was my furnace guy.  My part had shown up.  We set a time for him to come and fix my furnace.  Ahhhh.  Heat!  And sleeping in my bed and not on the soffa.  All is good!!  He will come back when the weather is better to work on the AC.

    I slept little last night.  Nico is a challenge.  I took a nap before supper.  

    Went to supper at Jalisco's.  Great to be out of the house.  Finally.  They were just dead tonight.  I heard there was a game people were eating early so they could go home to watch.  No idea what team.  Not important to me.

    Snow is supposed to start soon.  So they say.  Nothing on the way home.  The radar is misleading.  It might look like snow or rain but it does not always reach the ground.  We are in the 3-6 inches of snow.  I hope.  We are so dry.  Those who love summer do not care.  They want what they want.

    Spanish was a challenge last night.  I tried 4x to pass the last test.  4x!!!  I almost gave up.  My errors were all stupid ---- misspelled words, or slipping in an English word, etc.  Now a new set of stuff to learn.  JS told me tonight he is only speaking Spanish to me!  That will be a quiet conversation.  He does teach me things and corrects me when I am wrong or mispronounce a word wrong.  But I cannot roll my r's.

    Photos are a mix.  The first 2 photos I took on Marstrand, Kungälv Municipality, Västra Götaland County, Sweden.  The house is my dream house.  I loved it!  There is water to the left of the house.  Perfect.  The table with blue chairs is in Marstrand also.  My friend LB and I ate lunch there often.  Great food.  I had pizza a couple of times.  Marstrand is an island.  No cars driving there or trucks.  Have to ride a ferry over to it.  I love it there.

    Nico went to the vet's and had his nails clipped.  I think he likes to go there.  We barely walked in and he was headed down the hallway!!  While he was back there I heard a dog on his way out.  I was prepared for Nico but it was a huge dog that came to me instead of his owner.  He was sweet!  And Nico was better in the car for a change.  He usually tries to sit on me!!  He is too big for that!

    The weather has changed.  The snow is getting here earlier.  We will have ice friday night and snow on saturday.  They won't say how much or the path the storm will follow.  Tired of being wrong?  Probably means I will get nada.

    More earthquakes.  Every day!  Multiple ones on most days.  Weird.  Someone tried to blame fracking but there are documents that rule that out.  Those wells are much further south.  The quakes don't upset me.  If my house shook really bad then they might worry me.  Other people have loud noise and terrible shaking but not here.  I am clueless why I do not have the same.

    I finally slept last night.  Will take medicine tonight.  Must sleep before I work.

    Have not really talked to anyone today.  Typical day home alone.
