National Sunflower Day

I added 2 photos today as I love sunflowers.  It is the state flower of Kansas.  Only the first is one I took years ago.

    Another rather quiet day.  I am still suffering from an RA flare.  Extra tired today but got a nice nap.  I even slept good last night.

    My meal orders were delivered this morning,  Easy to get it all in the house.  Just fill a bag & carry in.  Had a good lunch then ---- scrambled eggs with maple bacon.  Liked it.  Supper was ok too.  Ham, roll, sun chips, & butterscotch pudding cup.  I am full.  And maybe a chocolate croissant later.

    I had started to work on my blog after lunch but I could not keep my eyes open.  Love RA.  😞 Had a good nap.  Feel better now.  Still pains everywhere.

    Had a few shared photos from my grandsons.  I am excited that my 2 oldest great grandsons are living in Lindsborg this school year & attending school here.  Great!!!  They are getting enrolled now.  Hope I get to see them more often.

    Weather is so-so.  High was 95 with very low humidity.  No chance of rain. Of course.  Hotter tomorrow,  100 is forecast.  Ick.  Still no rain until later in the week.

    Cinder was in for a bit but just wanted back out.  Soon bedtime.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 349....

 

Today was OK. Warm with no wind. Nico and I sat outside for a long time.

I cancelled one appointment today. No reason other than I was not in the mood. At this stage in life I can do what I want. No questions.

I got groceries late afternoon. So easy. Today from Whites. Some times I use Dillons. Good to have bread and lunch meat!

Stray dog visited again. He must walk on our porch. Nico sniffs everywhere. Hope he belongs to the neighbors. Not sure I need another pet.

I am addicted to 'Maine Cabin Masters. Love watching all they do. Wish they would come here!! The crew seem nice! And they are all funny!

I gathered most of my trash in bags. I need to tackle my husband's office. I started a bag of stuff that was scattered on the floor. Trash can is stacked high. Maybe have JR carry out as I fill trash bags. No fun cleaning up from someone who had dementia and was an alcoholic. A challenge for me. How he must have suffered.

My friend who is moving needs boxes. I have been saving some really large ones. Trunk of my car almost would not close! Glad to be rid of them.

Feeling better. Taking long enough. Still extra tired. No more pain in the arm that got the shot. How bad will the next be?

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 341....

 Nice weather day. Warm day at 50. Chilly night at 19. But now we are in a winter storm watch tonight. Ice coming. Be fun driving to town.

Cows walking by the fence by our yard. Keeps Nico on his toes! He lets them know just who is in charge!

Slept better but up early. Threw on some clothes. Off to town. Got groceries I ordered. And picked up my insulin. They are across the street from each other. Quick trip. Never got out of my car so doesn't matter how I dress. (-;

As usual no texts or calls. I never even hope. People talk about having their bubble, friends or family, they are always with. My babble is just me and my brother.

One of my FB friends visited Willie's grave today. What a super nice gesture. Made my day. I don't think our kids have been there ever. Such caring hearts they have. After I die I am sure they will dance on my grave.

On Instagram there is someone who posts old abandonded buildings. There was a house I immediately recognized this evening. Owners were friends of my in-laws. I was in that house many times. And they had a story about a lady and her hired man who disappeared. The lady is my husband's family. I asked if they had more information. I hope so.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 326....

 Not as quiet a day. Good for me. I had something to give to JS and he had something for me. So we met and had a nice visit. He was working on fixing up a house. And I had trouble finding it. Lost in my own town!

I bought some groceries. We are in a winter storm warning and record low temps. Just in case I cannot get out for a day or two.

JR and I met GE for supper at Jalisco's. They were fairly busy and lots of big take out orders.

I want to learn "I will see you on Sunday" in Spanish. I was using a translator and was listening to it pronounce it. JS and CA were watching and listening. "Nos vemos el domingo". We all laughed. Now To use it often so I don't forget.

Feels colder out than it is 31f now. It will only get worse!!
