9/2026 - Monday the 21th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Matteus

I have a dear friend in South Africa named Matthys which is sort a similar name.  Make me think of him.  Should have went to see him when I could travel.  Now we will never see each other again.  He worked for my son in his wheat harvesting business.  Love him.  Great guy.

    Today was a good day.  Had an early coffee date &. while sitting in my car & watching the scene.  There was a slight breeze.  It was cloudy & dark.  Leaves were falling off the trees onto the sidewalk & shops.  It was magical.  I enjoyed sitting there.  Always observe what you see.

    I met my boss & friend for coffee, EH.  My blood sugar was low so I needed to eat.  Had my fave muffin.  Took my insulin.  That 

was ok.  It was good later after my nap.

    Had a good visit with the local chief of police.  One of my favorite people.

    Saw someone I had introduced myself to a day before.  As usual he never remembered me enough to say hello.  Or smile.  So much for trying to make friends.  Will no longer expect anything.  Big disappointment.  Really like him.

    I am not used to getting up at 730am so I went home to take a nap.  No work tomorrow so I can stay up late.  Especially since late night TV is back on.  Saturday is SNL.  Cannot wait!!!

    Both cats followed me to the bedroom.  Cinder stayed in her bed after a cuddle with me.  Kisse who knows.  She often goes under the bed & you never know.  Until I get up!!

    My feet get cold easy so I bought some "socks" that look like Santa's elf socks!  White fur around the top, sock is red in color, & the bottom is a shoe bottom.  My feet are comfortable.

    Forgot to put something to drink in the fridge.  Drinking my energy drink.  They are so tasty.  Won't bother my sleeping later.

    There was a bunch of storm looking clouds on the radar early.  But of course they quit moving east & went south to Wichita.  No rain here for a few days.  Hoping.

    This saturday is the yearly street dance  on Main Street.  The most popular band has been replaced.  I am clueless why.  They are the best.  The second band is gone.  They were friends of mine.  No longer attending.  No one to sit with.  No chair to sit on.  No one to talk to.  Any people there I sort of know would not include me.  Staying home is much better.  The band playing does not look interesting to me at all.

    Wish people would not make promises & then ignore me.  JS promised to call me this afternoon.  He never did.  I did not believe him anyway,  Used to being ignored.

    Catching up on my soap operas ----- novelas.  And no work tomorrow.  More rest.  Maybe laundry??

8/2026 - Tuesday the 18th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Lena, Ellen

I have 2 cousins in Sweden named Lena.  I like how they pronounce it. My one Lena cousin does the common inhaling air instead of saying "uh huh"   Found myself doing it!!!  Had a cousin here in the states whose name was Ellen Jewel.  Cool name.  She passed away a few years back,

    Today was an ok day.  Slept fair.

    Around noon my "son" from Bangladesh texted me.  He is so sweet.  We have known each other for many years.  He was quite young when we met.  Now he has grown in to a handsome young man.  We have trouble talking with each other as our country times are far apart.  He was talking to me from midnight in his country.  My time was 1pm.  But we try once in a while.  He was all excited.  He is taking an English class.  He wants for us to talk live in English.  That would be fun.  He also has a new job.  Sounds good.  A bright spot for today.

    I need to renew my car tag but I cannot find this years insurance papers.  I called my insurance company to get new copies.  One for my car, one to mail for my tag.  So I actually got to see real people for a very short time.  I found a nice cloudy place to park & did all my paper work for my tag & for my water bill.  Then I mailed them,

    I took a very short nap with both Kisse & Cinder cuddling with me.  Daisy was sweet outside.

    Cool last night & today.  We were in a warning for temps around 100F.  Nope.  My high was 91F.  Storms are forecast for tonight.  Some are forming now.

    I wonder why the people who usually talk to me have not.  I always wonder what I have done wrong.  I am aware there must be something wrong with me.  Has to be a reason I have no friends.  Hence my depression & stress.

    Had an odd occurance last night.  I woke up & my room was dark & I had no black areas,  Every thing was normal.  Hmmm.  The next time all was back to normal blindness.
