Sheltering in Place, Day 178....

I survived my second eye surgery. With my first one I felt drunk the night of surgery, This time I felt drunk tonight. I almost staggered out of Jalisco's. Saw my dr today and all is well. My prescription glasses are almost worthless now. My cheap readers are the best.

I have the best nephew ever. He has been my chauffeur. When I have no other family to help, he is a life saver.

And my cousins in California are wonderful. They asked what time my surgery was, then the  night of surgery texted to see how I was doing, and texted again today to check on me. I am not used to so much attention. And they made fun of me being one eyed and a pirate!! Complete with graphics!!

It started misting/raining yesterday and our temps dropped to the 40s. Today was rain and our temp never got out of the 40s. It was heaven. I emptied the rain gauge and I had 1.5". Nice.

JR and I ate at Jalisco's. I debated most of the day if I should  go or not. But I needed good food. It was really really quiet in there tonight.

Photos are from today in my drive, etc.

Sheltering in Place, Day 175....

Quieter day. Poor sleep last night. Too wound up after soccer. And I was too upset about my relative who is  ill. Frequent tears.

JR and I ate at Jalisco's. I won't be there again for several days. Got to visit with all the waiters.

Kisse kept close to me and even came to me before supper for some snuggles. Hope Nico does not get mean to her when he is home. So possessive.

Saw 100F today. Same for tomorrow. Oh, but tuesday will be heaven!

Holiday weekend. But we have no family to celebrate with. We only had Mom and Dad. Long ago times. No friends to celebrate with. JR did not seem too anxious to go eat tomorrow so I will chill at home with Kisse.

Photos are mostly mine. A couple of edited photos of drawings that I did not draw. Some rainy Lindsborg photos, flowers.

Sheltering in Place, Day 174....

What a day!!!  Soccer started at Bethany College. I picked up JR at 415. It was hot but with low humidity and a nice breeze. Not too bad. Women played first. And lost 2-3 in two overtimes. But they played very good. I think they are going to be great. Like the new coach.

We then went to eat at Jalisco's. We discussed 3 options and picked there. It was quiet and almost time to close. JS surprised me by saying hello. He had worked all day on a house he is helping build. Came to Jalisco's to cook his supper.

Back to the men's match. They played really well. But lost 2-1 in two overtimes. I got home at 1030. Exhausted!

Kisse must have missed me. She was watching for me out the window. Glad I fed her before I left!!!

Got such bad news tonight. A relative is positive for Covid 19. Dang. I just cannot lose her. Wish I lived closer so I could help. She said she does not feel well at all.

Today was around 98F. Tomorrow a bit warmer. On tuesday high in the 60s and lows in the 40s. Really??!! Oh, be still my beating heart!!!

Photos are from tonight. One is the cutest tiny pickle slice with a face I got at Jalisco's. Cute..... and I ate it!!! Also a photo of my custom made soccer bracelet for Bethany soccer.

Look at the moon tomorrow night. Or tonight if you are up. But first read my first photo here.

The Plague, Day 173....

A very good day!!  With pretty good weather. But hot tomorrow. And hotter sunday. Then it gets cool.

I had a meeting so I missed Swedish group. Hopefully next friday.

Nico went to "summer camp" this afternoon. I am preparing for surgery next week. So ready for it. He just knew. He did not want to get in the car. I had to beg. He tried not to get in. Oh the guilt I feel. Poor Nico. He had to touch me all the way there.

Then I got grocries at Walmart. Now I have food again. Great!

Later this afternoon I met JR2 at the Peacock. Nice to sit and visit and relax without having to rush home. I miss Willie for many things, but not having him to take Nico out when I am gone is hard.

JR and I had supper at Jalisco's. I hate to cook so I am always glad to eat there with my brother and the friendly wait staff. Without all of them I would be lost.

Our new women's soccer coach is so excited about tomorrow. I sure hope they win! He has done a superb job of promoting the team even before school started. Hope he and they do well.

Photos are sunflowers and and photos from today.
