World Pasta Day

Today's Name Day is Evert

    Cancelled today.  The changing weather attacked my RA & walking was painful.  I worry about the basement steps at the Mill.  I stayed home.  Then the changing weather attacked my mind & I forgot to tell my brother there was no supper out today.  I feel so bad he waited for me & finally called.  Try to eat out tomorrow.

    Fur kids were mostly ok.  Nico had a moment or two.  Normal.  But we had a nice nap.

    We had rain starting last night & till maybe noon.  Went out early & it was a downpour.  South Kansas had around 5 inches.  We did not even get 1 inch.  Of course.  This weekend gets really cold with a chance of snow.  Snow???  Here???  I can dream.  Hope they are right.

    I had the chance to work 2 months of Fridays at the SVAFC.  I turned it down.  Christmas show & things to buy.  Not dealing with crowds & selling things.  Too stressful.  The artist whose place I take thing the same.  I feel bad but I must protect my sanity.

    I looked high & low last night for the cord to charge my old iPad.  Nothing fit.  I finally found one extremely short one that fit.  Charged by morning while sitting on the floor.  Wonder where the right one is.  Afraid I was going to have to order a new one.

    Stayed cool today.  Hope it gets cool tonight.  And kills bugs.  If it is cool enough I can actually use my porch light.

In September and October, many Swedes go walking in the forest to collect mushrooms, such as chanterelles and ceps, and to pick berries. Thanks to the right of public access, or ‘Allemansrätten’ as we call it, everyone can enjoy Swedish nature, provided they don’t disturb others or damage the area. Through the Edible Country initiative, you can even use your gatherings to prepare a gastronomic meal outdoors, using recipes specially created by renowned Swedish chefs.

    What a day I had today!!  Another good day!  Amazing!!  Slept fair.  But my power drink from V8 helps.  Nothing harmful in it.  Just tasty.

    I had an appointment in Assaria for an oil change.  Good to see the owner.  He is a nice guy & likes to joke!

    I had thought about going to Salina to Verizon.  But I had talked myself out of going.  Until I got in my car.  Oil change did not take long.  Sooooo off to Salina I went.    I decided on the phone & the watch.  Then to get the best deal.  Problem.  My grandson's phone was a problem.  He is on my account.  And I tried to call him but no answer from him or his fiance. But it all turned out ok.  I got really great discounts, a new rate, & great money back.  Their servers were slow & I have far too much on my phone.  Took forever but I ran an errand & it finished.

    I picked up Arby's for supper.  And I am not happy.  The guy waiting on me was hard to understand.  I ordered a beef sandwich, apple turnover, & Arby's sauce.  Turnover was cherry & no sauce.  It was ok but what was wrong with that guy?

    I had trouble getting FB on my new phone.  I have yet to get it to work on my laptop.  So much stress.  But by hook & crook I finally got it to work on my phone & then my laptop.  I jumped through a lot of hoops!!  Also had trouble getting gmail on my phone but then it worked.  Too much stress.  Had to get my iPad to see things on it.  There was a time period that I couldn't see my FB group!!  But there were no crises on it!!

    Weather was cooler today.  Light shower at home & drove through mist.

    The road I take to Lindsborg is closed for 2 months for work.  So have been driving the back roads.  In the process I have driven but several wheat fields we used to farm.  Brought back memories.  So Willie has been on my mind.  And seeing cattle back here.  Then I got to Verizon.  I had a really nice & patient worker whose name was Willie.  Wonder if my Willie was behind that?!  I really liked him.  He did all he could to get me a good deal.

Today's Name Day is Sören

    Really good day!!  Slept so-so.  Up early to go to Salina to get groceries.  Good to have food again.  The bread I got is questionable.  Time will tell!

    This afternoon I met my friend from upstate New York.  I missed her while I was sick but today was good.  Long visit at the White Peacock.  Ordered peach green tea iced.  It was perfect.

    Then I went to my bank, my pharmacy, & the car wash.  Picked up JR then & brought him home with me.  Added my new sticker to my car tag & carried a large bag of dog food in for me.  Nico will hate it.  What a waste!!

    We went back to town for supper at Jalisco's.  I have truly missed them.  One of at the new workers even made a point of saying hi to me & even called me by name.  Supper was good.  Sharing a photo of the ice cream we had.  Mmmm.  Actually JR's bowl.  mine was smaller.

                    

    When I got home I took some star photos.  Only one turned out good.  Sharing.

Make a Dog's Day

Today's Name Day is Seved

    Not a real bad day.  I am just more tired than usual.  I slept ok, but still needed a nap.  I am not as bad as Cinder.  She was in twice to cuddle last night.  The last time was maybe around 6am.  She never came to the bedroom.  And I never saw or heard her until just now.  Talk about lazy!!!  She went out then.

    I had really wanted to go to Salina & replace my iWatch.  I feel safe when I go outside wearing it as will sense if I fall.  Or if it does not I can call for help from it.  Try for maybe Tuesday.  But even buying new phone/watch did not pep me up.  Canceled supper also.  I have got to get better.  Usually eat pizza on Sundays.  That did not sound good.

    Got up to 85 here.  Felt too warm.  It gets so cool at night that at some point I turn a little heat on.  Then it gets too warm & the AC comes on.  Not lucky enough to have one that just does it on its own.  That would be asking too much.

    Strong winds today.  Really blows the prairie grasses.  I have leaves falling off the trees by my house but no pretty leaves.  Just from the drought.  Hopefully rain by Tuesday through Thursday.  Tired of hoping & being disappointed.  Then next weekend we have cold temps forecast.  Yay!!

    Still adjusting to my laptop.  I wanted to join a site I like.  But it wanted me to sign in through FB.  Fat chance.  I get nothing from the letters I have written.  Will try again.  Dang.  I have it on my phone & iPad but not my laptop.  Just not right.

    Not really heard from anyone today.  Some nice photos from my nephew but no texts.  Everyone too busy.  There was a photo that I posted that my diseases might be invisible but I am not.  Wrong.  I almost always feel invisible.  Not included in most things going on.  It is what it is.

    Photos are seasonal.  I added them easy yesterday.  See how it goes today.  Today was good.  Think I have it figured out.

Back to the Future Day

Today's Name Day is Birger

    I am glad to be back!!  I got super sick on Thursday night.  I truly do not remember being that sick ever in my life.  I could not even manage to take Nico out.  I knew I could not get to the door without being sick.  I had to cancel Friday at the SVAFC.  That hurt.  I slept most of yesterday & managed to eat one slice of bread.  Today is much better.  Had a real lunch.  See how that goes.

    I have sort of decided my illness was a reaction to a medication I am on.  It has not bothered me before but now scared to take it.  A friend started on the same med & got very ill when she took it.  I will wait & try half a dose.  Hate to stop it as it has help my diabetes.

    Weather has been too warm.  Yesterday we hit 90F.  Usch.  If we had made 91 that would have broken a 1921 record.  We are only at 76 today.  Much better.  Stays sort of warm until mid week when we have chances for rain.

    The prairie grasses are turning more sand colored.  From the drought.  There are different shades.  One spot in the pasture is very tall.  I can see birds flying away from the pond.  Cannot see what they are.  Usually see the snowbirds around now but none yet.  I really want to feed the birds again, but not sure I can.  Dang it!!

    Still working on my new laptop.  I finally got Firefox loaded where JS is.  It never goes well.  It never accepts my passwords.  Always have to change.  Still learning how things work.  But have my keyboard set to Swedish.  Had to google how to.  Easy but things are different.

    Cannot get FB to work on this laptop.  I do not want to start over.  I have written FB but no answer.  Nice.  I will wait & see.

    Still not sure how to add photos.  I can but not like I used to.  Learning.  Photos today are a mix.  Just added what I had.

 Today's Name Day is Tore 

    A good but so frustrating day!! Sleep was fair.  Got up very early in case my laptop showed up at 9am.  But it came around noon.  I ate lunch first & then the stress started!!

    It wanted me to transfer one laptop to the other, but my old one will not or cannot not. It had never been backed up. I am not so smart! I tried to do a backup & it would not.  I googled & it wanted me to used a disc.  I have not disc drives.  So I decided I would just do it manually.  Well, mostly good but it is all new.  I can not open Safari & open 5 tabs & they will stay.  Have to make a folder with them & open that way.  Maybe can do it the other way but clueless now.

    I cannot add my FB.  It is fine on my old pc but the new one no can do.  I wrote to them to see if they can help.  Ha.  I do not want to start over.  Yikes!!

    And I had trouble getting mail that I sent to it.  Ok now.   And I cannot add my Swedish keybord.  Will google soon.

    I slept a bit this morning but nothing this afternoon.  Hope I sleep tonight.
