    Had a tough night last night.  At my meeting I had a low blood sugar spell that was mild.  But at 1am I starting shaking & feeling weak.  I got up to eat.  And it took forever to feel better.  Must have been really low.  Why??  Then today I have been extra thirsty.  And craving Pepsis.  No idea why my diabetes is screwy.

    My yard is overrun with bag worms.  They are every where.  The house is covered.  What ever plant/tree they get on they will kill.  My nephew is going to spray & cut trees growing too close to my house.

    Today was a work day at the Old Mill.  I got my new scanner!!  Works great!! Finished the book I was on.  Started on a new book of class photos ---- photos of the entire class together.

    This weekend is Christmas in July in Lindsborg.  The ice cream shop has designed an ice cream named after the Mill ---- Old Mill Mint.  I got a taste.  Awesome!!

    It was a rather sad day.  One of my coworkers is moving & friday is her last day.  So today I told her goodbye.  I will miss her.  The Mill will miss her!

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  I had NO appetite.  Just thirst.  Lots of news there.  A waiter from years ago has returned.  We are friends but not seen him in years.  And the kitchen helper who just left is back.  Good!  I like him & missed him.

    Humidity was beyond bad today.  Could be some of my problem.  Who knows?!

Wandering Through Life, 27 august 2021

    Very windy today but less humid.  Saw 100F in my car.  No chance of rain anywhere near me.  As usual.  Tomorrow???

    I went to the Red Barn to say goodbye to my artist friend.  Oh, I will miss him.  He is a rare person who understands me and how I feel and what I have been through.  Will keep in touch.  There was a man in visiting him from Concordia.  Really nice.  Fun to talk with people who like art and stuff.

    Had supper with my brother.  Great food.  The staff were ornery too.  Fun to laugh.

    Watching Rachel Maddow.  How sad it is that almost her entire show was about farm animal wormer medication, those who are pushing it, those who are selling it, and those who take it but refuse vaccination or masks.  We are a very stupid country.  I cannot imagine anyone convincing me to take cattle medicine.  How stupid do you have to be??

    I noticed a huge number of barn swallows or field swallows in my pasture on the electricity wires.  Are they planning to leave here already?  For whatever reason I have no barn swallows near my house.  We used to.  Miss them.  Not been close enough to tell which kind they are in the pasture.

    There was soccer tonight. I never considered to go.  I simply will not sit out in the heat.  Wish it would cool off so I can go enjoy my teams playing.

Wandering Through Life, 25 august 2021

    Had a very good day.  It was a work day.  I love the old photos.  A while ago our server died a noble death.  So today I started over because we know we will have to redo many already done.  That is ok.  I still like it.

    I am enjoying getting to know our new director.  I do not get to see her often but she is friendly and tries to include me in things.

    It was very hot again.  Over 100F.  Ick.  Just now I took Nico out and almost passed out.  The air is so heavy I could hardly breathe.  Humidity is around 70%.  Miserable.

    Supper with my brother and our friend PM. Good memories.  JS tried to help me with my phone but it will wait until next week.  Long chat with NM, new waiter. Good meal.

    Tomorrow Nico gets his nails clipped.  LONG overdue.  Awful.  I cannot wait.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 302....

 Had good day. Slept well except for some low blood sugar.

Took myself out for lunch. Had a burger and fries. JS came in to say hello before running errands. Good to see him.

Saw my therapist, KF. We have the same birthday. So today we had sparkling water in wine glasses! And I got to keep the sparkling water and wine glass. Very cool.

I brought my re Markle 2 to show her. She loved it. She thought her kids would too. And since using it my handwriting has improved a lot.

KF had her dog with today. He is such a sweetie! I got lots of puppy love!!

I wrote to the president of the historical society, TS. We have not met in months and had a meeting tonight. I am secretary on the board. I thought I would be ok attending but I just could not. Do not want to be an area with poor circulation and people I do not socialize with and have no idea how safe they live in this Covid time. I was so upset yesterday I was shaking. TS was going to try Zoom from there but there is no wifi. And who knows how good reception is. Well, he never contacted me so I assume it did not work. Guess I will find out later what happened.

Weather is cold tonight, very warm tomorrow, then cooling off. God forbid we would have any snow. When it gets cooler it is with very strong winds.

I need to relocate to where snow happens. Have friends in Rapid City SD. The landscape is gorgeous. And with snow awesome. Love their photos. Colorado is an option. Love it there.

My photos today involve snow. I took most of the photos. The ones with big equipment and people are the first snow after Willie died. The neighbours came over to clear the yard, where I walk and the driveway. Really nice moment.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 205....

 Was summer again today. I saw 93F. Ick. Only 5 more days until it cools off. Great!!

I got sick during the night. Dang diabetes. It is scary living alone when one can hardly walk to the kitchen for food. Oh well. Such is life. Guess if it was bad enough I could call 911 for help.

I got in a bad mood last night. I slept over 12 hours. Maybe I needed to.

JR and I had supper at Jalisco's. They were pretty busy. Fun to see everyone there. Today I saw they had their Halloween decorations up. They were made several years ago by the staff. Fun!! The only Halloween I get. And I hate to be here on that night.

Had an interesting photo day. When I was leaving the house today, I looked by the gate to my pasture. And there was a mother deer and 2 babies. They were watching me in my car. I got my phone and took several photos. So fun to see.

On leaving Lindsborg there was smoke from somewhere --- a field or Colorado? But the sunset was impressive. More photos.
