8/2026 - Saturday the 29th - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Hampus , Hans

I have a friend in Sweden.  We have met & ate out.  Still friends.  I had a boy in school with me named Hans Peter.

    Today was not a good day.  The night was ok.  Slept ok, but blind again.  Friday was a wonderful day but stress returned around 9pm.  Bad stress.

    Woke up today & immediately got sick.  I did manage to get my groceries.  I forgot Cinder so JR bought what I needed for her last night.

    When I fed Daisy she was more normal.  Great.  She tried to get in the car again with me.  No bueno!

    Kisse was absent all day.  I called & called her.  She was no where.  I got really worried.  But when I went to nap she was in her bed.  Odd.  She sleeps under my bed sometimes.  I guess she is ok.  Was all loving when I found her & during my nap.

    I ate lunch ok.  Feeling better but got sick after going to bed for my nap.  Both cats were either in bed with me or near me.  I got sick once then ok

    Really hot today.  Saw 104.3F when I got up from my nap.  Glad to be inside.  Very windy today.  Corn harvest continues & RN was in a vollery ball tournamont.

    Time for supper.  Hope it goes ok.

Huge fire south of Salina KS.  4000 hay bales caught fire.  Most likely will burn for the next week.  Scary.

06/2025 - Martes the 17th - JOURNEY

 

No harvest today or the next few days.  These are old photos.

Today's Name Day:  Torborg, Torvald

Familiar with these names.

    Had a hell of a night last night.  My weather alarm radio was constantly sending alerts.  I had to get up to shut it off.  It is new & I am clueless.  I finally moved it to next to my bed.  Then played with it.  NOW it is set correctly.  I was awake until after 6am.  Did sleep this morning.  And this afternoon.

    Woke up around noon today & it was thundering then.  Thunder & rain now also.  Maybe get the storms done before bedtime.  And my electricity has been off three times.  Not for long.

    Bad storms in southern Kansas.  Hutchinson had a wind gust of 89mph.  And Wichita had a gust of 101mph.  That is the strongest in their history.

    Had winds here of around 40-50mph.  No damage.  So far around 2 inches of rain.

    Texted MM last evening.  I am so worried for him and his sons. He is working all week so I am going to try to see him often around my schedule.  Miss seeing him.

    Cooler today.  Good day.  Wish it would last.  Cool summer weather in Kansas??? Hahaha!!!  Oh, the dreams of fools........

    I texted with LL.  The river the Mill sits on is 6 feet higher today.  Wow!!!  Not seen it that high in a long time.  Small leaks in the Mill itself.

    No one texted today.  All busy.  Except for PR who used to work at Jalisco's.  His 6 year old daughter & I video chatted.  How sweet!!!  Made my day!!

06/2025 - Martes the 10th - JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Boris, Svante

    Had a good day.  Slept ok.  No nap.  Had a 330pm appointment for a hair cut.  I changed it up a bit.  See how it turns out when I wash & style it.  Like it so far. Here is me with new hair in a cuddle with Cinder.

    Then home for supper.  I bought Hickory Hut bbq beef & baked beans.  I deserved a nice meal.

    After fixing my makeup I had a board meeting to attend.  I could have missed it.  None of it had anything to do with me.  No problem.

    I saw 94F in my car this afternoon. The next week is more of the same.

    The weather was weird tonight.  Our weatherman has a dog.  Wish I had been listening better.  His sweet dog was there but he was missing.  Maybe he got ill and could not leave before the weather was on.

    Car was on fumes.  The price of fuel has actually gotten less.  How did that happen.

    Long conversation with CF last night.  He is doing so well.  Proud of him.  MM asked me to go to supper tonight.  Too late.  I had already eaten.  Will see him tomorrow. Meeting for lunch.  Warned LL I might be late to work.  Need to talk.

    Found flowers in my drive way & some near my yard.  Got photos of them all.  Fun!!

    Work tomorrow.  Love being there.  Will not try to work this saturday.  Will be too many Kubb players there for our Midsommarsdag celebration.  Too many cars.  I know nothing about the game except how to pronounce it.  So no working at the SVAFC this week.

    Harvest may start tomorrow.  KN is going to try.  I told him I want to take a few photos this year.  I miss doing that.  I have shared old photos with KN & CN.  I am excited.
