3/2026 - Onsdag den 25:e - MY JOURNEY

 

Missing winter.

There is no name for today.  I have no clue.

    I had sort of a good day.  I slept well in spite of having a nightmare close to morning.  Just spooky.  With me & people I know.  Weird.

    Today was a work day.  Fun to see everyone.  Had good conversation when there was time.  Our new director starts on monday.  I only remember directors who used the office by the front door.  Our new one is going to use a space in our basement.  Guess I will get to know her pretty good.  Will be fun.

    My scanner is much worse.  I could scan one photo.  When I tried for a second one it screwed up.  I would reboot the scanner.  I finally started using a part of the scanner to preview the photo.  If it looked ok I woud continue.  If it was a awful color I stopped & rebooted.  Slowly I moved on.  Working on the tiniest photos & almost done.  I hope a new scanner appears on my desk soon.

    No llamas when I went to work but they were in the pasture when I came home.  Not close enough for a photo though.   And one feral cat running in my back yard.  A grey one.  Young looking.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  Fun to see my amigos!!  I Miss there.  Need to go there more often.

    Saw a classmate there & I had ordered a class reunion tee shirt & she had mine for me.  Not sure I will attend.  I do not feel part of my class.  They all keep in touch with each other.  I am in touch with no one unless they live in town & we run into each other accidently.  Sort of like my family.  I suffer from major FOMO ----- fear of missing out.

    Dessert was ice cream from the Barnyard Creamery.  Gotta quit.  Too much.  Either a meal or just ice cream.  Look closely at the photo.  Funny.

    A quick trip in to the grocery store.  I needed 3 things.  Cinder & I are happy now.

    Driving home I saw a couple of small deer & slowed way down.  There were 4 half grown deer ran over the road in front of me.  No time for a photo.  Should have AI design a photo for me!!!  They were so sweet!!!

    I had photos last night from MM.  He was exhausted from doing moving stuff.  Had a text from JL.  Photo from a Texas friend.  That is it.

    I am surprised.  I had people from Sweden look at my blog.  There has been people from Danmark for a while now.  There sometimes some surprise countries.  I am sure missing them has something to do with our government.  Very sad.

    Cinder is not happy.  She wants food now not later.  I am busy.  Cats did not eat overnight so there was almost a whole meal for them today.  And it is gone now.

    I planned to carry trash out tomorrow, but oh no.  High winds.  Cannot make the bins heavy enough do they don't blow over.  Dang.  Ay ay ay ay.  Maybe I can brace one in front of a tree.

    I took a very short nap when I got home.  Cinder woke me early.  Just walking over me.

The dalahäst at the Old Mill.

Today's Name Day:  Matilda,  Maud

Matilda is a familiar name.  I have a nice friend in Sweden named Maud.  She has been in Lindsborg many times.  And I have been at her home in Sweden too.

    Had a good day.  Started with meeting MM at the White Peacock.  I ate lunch.  Did not want to cook at home.  They were super busy.

    When he left he went to look at a house on Main Street.  His house has been sold so he must move.  The house he looked at he likes.  And it is now his.  Cool.  I will drive by it every time I work at the Mill.  Nice.

    This afternoon I worked at the Old Mill.  And dozens of tiny photos.  The scanner was a major pain.  If I got lucky I might get to scan 2 photos in a row.  Most of the time I was rebooting the scanner between photos.  I got done with all the photos that had no names on them.  Next week I start dozens of tiny photos with names.  I did get those sorted by size.  Hoping for more interesting photos when done with all these from a local school.

    It was quite warm today.  But I froze in the basement at the Mill.  My house is freezing to me also.  Tomorrow we start warm, then 50 mph winds come here & in the afternoon our temperature is 35F.  Colder overnight.

    When I went to lunch the llamas were near my yard.  I got a photo of one.  The other was mixed in with the cows.

    Called KN to see if he was the one to fix my tipped over trash bins.  He was the one.  They will blow again tomorrow.

    I tried to take a nap at home but I could not sleep.

    Photos today are a mix.
