National Dog Day

Show your pup some extra love on National Dog Day - take them to the park, spoil them with treats, and give them lots of cuddles! 

   Nico got an extra long nap & a cinnamon roll for supper.  Only a few bites.

    Another sleepless night.  Partly because of Cinder having to be close but also because of Nico.  He was up every hour!!  Sheesh.  I would just about be asleep & he would tap on my leg,  Again.

    Cinder stayed out part of the night enjoying the cool air & rain.  It rained off & on but did not get much.  Just nice.  Last chance for the next 10 days of so.  The drought is back on. 

    Today our temp was only in the 70s.  Awesome!!  Wish is would last, but the dome of heat returns next weekend.  Oh joy.

    Jalisco's is still closed as far as I know.  Not seen anything else.

    I am so lucky to have the Travel Channel to watch instead of the networks & their game/reality shows.  I just find them so stupid.  I also can watch movies from Amazon Prime & other places.

    Lonely day.  Mostly heard from CF's girlfriend.  Cool she texts so often & sends photos.  Sure helps.

                                

    

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 250....

 Been in semi quarantine for 250 days - 8 1/3 months. I feel there is no end in sight. And still see people without masks after all has been said. It will never be over.

A good day. I have next to no pain. Nice weather with no wind. Yay! Slight chance of rain tomorrow. I doubt it. Wichita will get it. I had no car wreck today. A relief!! JS said he had 2 beers with his coworkers yesterday after they helped me. I said "Were you so upset at me having a wreck you needed a beer!?" He laughed. I can dream!

JR and I went to Jalisco's tonight. Lots of carry out and a bit slower inside. Gave me lots of time to visit. Fun. Plus I was texting a dear friend in Ireland. He somehow makes me feel good about myself. Wish Ireland was closer to Kansas.

Got home and the first thing is Nico somehow got my new book. Chewed up the first page. I got packages in the mail I opened so he thinks he can do whatever he wants while I am distracted. Frustrating. Then Kisse jumped from a high place into a bowl of dry food. What a mess!! Both are sleeping now. I need a couple of tequila shots!!

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 243......

 It got very very cold last night!! I was outside twice and it was 21F. Mucho frio!!! Not too bad today. In the 40s. Pleasant and no wind. Wind warning for tomorrow. Warmer tonight and tomorrow. There is soccer tomorrow but I cannot go. Covid. My brother can go being part of the press but I must stay home.

Slept good last night. Feels good to snuggle in the blankets and Nico. Wish Kisse would learn to snuggle. She is more stand-offish.

JR and I ate at Jalisco's. They were very busy. And many carry outs. One was a huge box and a large bag. They could have just put it in my car for the weekend!!!

There was an art show next to Jalisco's. I was glad to see they had a big crowd. We were there the other day.

Had a rough moment at Jalisco's. A video I saw really upset me. Cannot talk about it.Just feeling sorry for myself. IF anyone noticed they all ignored me. Story of my life. Cried most of the way home. Have an essential oil that is supposed to make your mood better. Waiting.

Kind of glad some of my fave tV shows are back on. My fave one on Acorn will start in Janary. Beats anything on American tv. It is Canadian. Does not take much to be better than our tv shows.

Had a momentary emergency this morning. The neighbour's dogs visited our yard. Nico about had a stroke!!! They were much bigger than Nico. Lucky he was not outside.

So far survived Friday the 13th pretty well. Surely can make it to midnight.
