I knew one Leila.

    Today!!!!  What a day!!!

    Sleeping was ok. Middle of the night I realized I was seeing no black spaces.  All was clear.  What a shock.  Went back to sleep & did not wake up again.  See what tonight brings.

    I had to do my face, take a quick shower, get dressed, feed & water the inside cats, get Cinder a treat, feed & water Daisy.  THEN.  I could leave.  I was sitting in the car & Daisy almost got inside!!!  Yikes!  She could have made it to Hutch!!!

    Got to the Hutch Clinic a bit early.  I knew there was another elevator at the other end of the clinic.  JR went to see where it was.  Perfect.  I parked by the door & little walking.  Why did it take me so long!!!???

    Went & checked in early..  And got in to see my PA 20 minutes early.  I have lost 10 pounds since my appointment in LBK.  Cool.  All my labs were perfect as was my A1C.  Great!!

    The girl who added my next appoinment suggested we go to Yoder to eat supper.  Lordy what am awful mess.  I called OnStar for directions.  We made a huge circle around Hutch that seemed to take forever.  Finally made it to Yoder Road.  We ate at Carriage Crossing.  Great food.  Coming out of the clinic my leg was really sore so JR offered a ride to the car.  What a treat.  I told him he could order steak for supper.  I had a hot beef sandwich.  And JR got his steak!!!  Worth every penny.

    Going home was easy.  Knew where I was.  And lucky to have JR with me.  I might take him every appointment.  Find somewhere new to eat!

    Got home & Daisy has ignored me.  Why?  She acted strange.  Odd.  I went out later & nothing changed.  She kept looking to the west.  Did something hurt her?  I went out later & the same.  I picked her up but she left after a bit.  She has plenty of food & water.  Upsets me.

    I am tired.  Got spanish done.  Now this.  Then rest.

20 february, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I had a great day!!  I was up early so I could reschedule my chiropractic app't.  Then I was getting ready for a road trip.  My boss & friend went to Yoder Kansas for lunch at the Carriage Crossing.  Yoder is an Amish community.  Many people only travel by horse drawn carriage.  The Carriage Crossing has the best food & the pies are to die for.  I had a hot beef sandwich but no pie.  )-:  I did buy some bread & a huge cinnamon roll for home.  

    After lunch we went to a farm to buy some hand made things for the Old Mill gift shop.  Cool things --- trivets, candles, & coasters.  We met in their garage.  There were 3 carriages in there.  So cool.

    On the way home we drove through the Dillon Nature Center, the Sand Hills State Park, & then Inman KS.  A good day.  Hope we can do this again.  Got to think of a cool place to go eat!

    Tonite JR & I ate at Jalisco's.  A quiet night there.  Good to see everyone.  I needed some groceries & so did JR so he got for both of us.  

    I needed to take trash out but I just cannot do it.  I hurt most of the weekend & tonight is no better.  It will keep until the next time.  I do what I can.  "I ran out of spoons today"

Wandering, 26 march 2022

    What a great day!  JR and I decided to take a road trip just for supper.  Well worth the drive! 

    We drove to Yoder Kansas to eat at the Carriage Crossing.  Their parking lot was packed and we wondered if there was room for us.  But I remembered how large it is inside and there was plenty of room.  I had a hot beef sandwich (beef, bread, mashed potatoes, and gravy).  JR had a hot turkey sandwich.  I took half of mine home for tomorrow supper.  We both had a piece of pie.  They are known for their pies!!  I had lemon meringue pie.  JR had a chocolate cream pie.

    Yoder is the largest Amish community in Kansas.  The Amish cannot drive cars but can drive tractors or horse drawn carriages. So you see tractors driving every where and hauling food into the restaurant by tractor and cart.  They used to be able to only drive a tractor with metal wheels.  But then all their roads were getting torn up so now the tractors have tires like we do.

    Just before leaving town we met a small tractor with an elderly couple in the cab.  He had a long white beard and she was dressed in black.  Wish I could have gotten a photo of them.  They made me smile.

    The town has less than 200 people but there are many stores.  There is a second restaurant and a grocery store.  I have been in the old fashioned hardware store.  Lots of hardware but also old toys and things.  Just fun to see and have childhood memories come back.  There is Yoder Meats that I have heard of wonderful.  There is a furniture store where it is all hand made wood furniture.  And of course a farm store.  Used to be a store where the carriages were hand made.  I would hope it is still there.  I am sure there are others but those are the ones I remember.  The second restaurant has burgers and the photos look drool worthy.  But there is no where that sells alcohol.

    It was about an hour drive to get there.  Well worth the drive.  Fun to just see some different areas.  Must do this more often.  I sit here alone too much.  Even if I just drive somewhere alone, I need to just get out.  

    This morning my pasture was full of black cattle.  Just full!!!  Great to see!!  It was warm and calm.
