Today's Name Day: Kevin, Roy

Had a Roy in school.  A bit older. Good friend named Kevin.  He is a hoot!!!  Cousin Kevin.

    

    Had a great day!!! Slept well.  Worked at the SVAFC.  Today the artist MH, gave a talk about his art.  I have been looking forward to this!!

    He had a huge audience!!!  Plus I met some great people.  There was a couple talking to a friend of me.   Found out when the Old Mill was being worked on so we could turn it on again, they worked on it.  I found out both him & his wife were in many photos I worked on from that time period.  I talked to him & told him I had many photos of him,  Great conversation!!!  The last lady who showed her father's art last month.  She has been very friendly ever since when I see her.  When she went home today she took my hand in her goodbye.  I had a long visit with another local artist.  I wish I saw her more often but such is life.  She has a group of friends but I am not part of them.  Just a great day & glad I was part of it.

    Supper was sallad at Pizza Hut.  Love it.

    On my way home MM called.  But I dared not touch my phone.  Too much traffic.  He was gone all day yesterday & today.  Had a great visit.  Will see him tomorrow for lunch.  Good.

    The house was too warm when I got home.  Turned the cool air on.  Much better now.

    Got the sticker for my car's license tag & got it attached tonight.  They were fast!!!

    Found a new show on CNN called Have I Got News For You.  Based on real news but sort of a comedy.  I am enjoying it,.  It is a weekly show.

08/2025 - Jueves the 21st - JOURNEY

I bought the post card.  It had the owner's name & the address.  So wanted to see if the house was still here.  It is.  Very cool.

Today's Name Day:  Jon, Jonna

I am friends now with a Johnita, a lady.  I was in high schooll with a Johhnie.  A girl..  Have know many Jon's or John's.

    Had a pretty good day!!  Slept good with a short nap.  Cinder slept with me in my nap.  Love her snuggles & purring.  😸

    Had an eye dr, appointment.  Not with the dr.  Just a test. Was not in the mood so I canceled.  No big deal.

    Met my friend RG for supper at the Crown & Rye.  They were really busy.  Good to see.  Even saw a few people I know.

    RG walked by Jalsico's on the way for supper.  No one in there.  The carpet is still there but all tables & chairs are gone.  Who knows where.  Storage unit?  Sold?  Hmmmm.  We will not plan on eating there next thursday.  Going somewhere else.  

    Weather is ok today.  High around 91 but low humidity.  Really cold autumn like weather headed our way.  My friend CW is as excited as I am.  My friends who live in California have super hot weather.  Las Vegas will be 109F tomorrow.  I could live with that.  Just never leave the casino.  No problem.  Been there in the heat.

    When I got home both cats came running to greet me.  Sweet.  Either glad to see me or into some thing they knew was a no no

04/2025 Onsdag the 09th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today's Name Day:  Ottilia, Otto

Ottilia is a special name to me.  Have several ancestors had this as a first or middle name.  Some sweet ladies.

    Had a pretty great day!! Slept so-so & not too much pain.

    Work day today.  I finished one package of photos.  I was sick of those.  Then started on another package.  What a joy!  Every photo had been printed twice.  So instead of scaning 30 photos I only had to do 15!!! Then I started on some Midsummers' photos.  Much more interesting.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  What fun it was!!  MA's parents from Mexico came in!  I got hugs from both.  Special people.  A lady & a baby sat in the back booth.  I did not recognize her but then her husband came to sit.  Someone I know well!!!  MA's brother, PA.  Had not seen him in a while.  And nice to meet his wife & baby son.  Then there was another man I recognized, PA.  Not seen him in a very long time.  He owns all the restaurants & worked in Lindsborg when it first opened.  Good to reconnect with him & chat a bit.  PA made sure to include me in some family get togethers coming up soon.  Nice to be included.  Sort of feel like family in a way.  Most of my own family never includes me in anything.

    Weather got chilly overnight but too warm today.  In the upper 70s.  Could be near 90 this weekend.  Ick.  And no chance for rain for at least 10 days or more.  😟

    Came home & no cattle or llamas.  Now I see a few cattle walking around out my window.

    Watching MSNBC interviewing some farmers.  The sad thing is farmers are getting screwed over by the government.  They are not getting a fair price but they also are having to pay higher prices for products they need.  But they all voted for our present government.  Tried to tell them.  Sorry for them.  They did not listen.

This is what I saw when going to work.  There are bulls on the left side of my drive.  This bull was singing a love song to several "ladies".  Three cows & one calf arrived on the right of my drive.  Listening.  💕

 

05 august, 2022 Wandering

    Today was a great day!!!!  Took my car to Assaria & had the new part installed.  It feels odd to go the speed limit!!  Instead of creeping to save fuel.  It did not take very long & did not cost very much.  I had some animal poo on my hood & I asked if he could wash it off.  I guess he got lots of jokes!!!  Gives them something to talk about!!

    I managed time for a short nap.  Sleep was elusive last night.  I finally gave up & moved to the sofa.  Then I slept.

    JR, PM, & I had supper at Jalisco's.  I treated myself to carne asada. (steak)  It was awesome tonight!!  Been a year or two since I ordered it.  Business was steady.  JS had a moment of totally getting to me!  He was still laughing when I left.  He is good for my soul.

    Last night JS called me to check to make sure I am ok  How nice that was.  Nice to have someone who cares to check.  I told him so.

    Photos are mostly flowers.  First photo is Jalisco's with JS taking a step.  The second photo is the Colorado mountains.  Oh, to be there again.  I think that is no longer possible for me.  The third photo is my cousin's dock on the Ljusnan River in Sweden.  Heaven on earth.
