Today's Name Day:  Alfhild, Alva

    Cancelled today.  Pain & no sleep.  Cancelled tomorrow also.  But I have terrible guilt feelings. Today is JR's birthday.  I feel like I am not snapping back to normal since my accident.

    Had a severe weather warning.  I had some mail to bring in from my porch.  I had just sat down there when the wind suddenly surged at a severe speed blowing dirt & trash.  Hard to see down my drive.  Scared me.  Barely got back indoors & it was over.  There was huge hail & heavy rains in this area but I got nothing.

    I took a nice nap with Cinder cuddling me.  Now both cats are sleeping near me.

    Had texts from MM & a text or two from JR.

    My artist friend who just went back home to Iowa posted the paintings from his show at the Red Barn, just for me since I missed his show.  I saved them all just for me.  I really liked one of his.  I sure miss him when he is gone.

    Last night I forgot to take my insulin at supper.  By the time I remembered it was far too late to take it.  My night was much better.  Blood sugar did not vary too much.  Skipped it again tonight.  See how my night is.

Today's Name Day: Charlotta, Lotta

    Had a good day.  Nice.  Slept pretty good.  Cinder never left my side all night.  Nice for me.  I needed her last night.  Have had a lot of sadness lately, even though with good days.  Too many memories.  Too many photos.  Too much pain.  No one asks, I talk to no one.

    I worked again today.  I have a project I am working on so that is what I mostly did.  Had some visitors.  One guy from yesterday was in twice, the second time we chatted a bit.  Would like to have hin as a friend.  He is funny & nice.  And he is trying to move to town.  I won't hold my breath.  I know better.

    Around 3 pm it started raining.  Super nice.  It smelled good!  Town was quieter today.  Less people.  Probably lots of family get togethers.  I cannot remember that long ago when I had one.

    There was a group of string players that came in & gathered in our back room "to jam".  Nice music.  Hope I get to be there the next time they are there.  Pleasant.

    Supper was at the Happy Swede.  The had a hot beef sandwich, one of my faves.  It was excellent!  They asked if I was a mother.  I do not like to talk about my being a mother or not. But I said I was.  Got a huge piece of chocolate cake.  Lordy, it is good!!  Bed time snack!!

    It rained on the way home.  Cinder was out & did not stay in long.  Need to check on her soon,  Think we are in a dry spot for a bit.

    Had a good & fun day.   Slept ok last night.   Got to sleep late but then had to hustle after I ate lunch..

    Picked up JR & we were off to the Red Barn Museum for a meeting with the 2 friends who run it.   We are planning a showing of  JR's photos in 2025.   It will be fun!!   So we discussed things about it.   So things are starting.   A fun afternoon..

    Last night I saved the Rockefeller special on tv.   Watching it now.   It is really good.   Enjoying the music & stars..

    Not as cold last night,   I even got too warm inside my house.   Will be colder tonight & rain is on the way here soon.   Maybe a little snow.   Great.   I have an early appointment & worry about the drive to town,   Just my luck.

    Photos today are ones I took at the Red Barn.   Might have enough for 2 days.   I will see.

                        

Wandering, 14 december 2021

    A really quiet day.  Home alone.  Did not leave at all.  Poor sleep last night.  Too many memories.  Some sad, some good, some both.  Maybe good I never saw anyone or talked to anyone.  I try not to whine but sometimes I do.

    Nico is a mess.  I had some cat food that no one in this house liked.  But I kept in case of an emergency.  Nico found the box and now has cat food all over the house.  He managed to get one open but only ate one bite.  So he carries them around, outside and back in, and hides them here and there.  Silly boy!!

    Much warmer today.  Stayed warm last night.  I was cold when I laid down for a nap.  Left the room heater on.  That was a mistake.  But it will slowly cool down.

    Wind and possible fire warnings for tomorrow.  Hope no one is stupid enough to burn anything or throw a cigarette out of a car window.  Winds between 50 - 70 mph.  That would be a disastrous event.  There is always one......

    Photos are from the time I worked for the Red Barn.  It is an artist's home and now a museum.  Emotional to look back.

                    

Wandering Through Life, 27 august 2021

    Very windy today but less humid.  Saw 100F in my car.  No chance of rain anywhere near me.  As usual.  Tomorrow???

    I went to the Red Barn to say goodbye to my artist friend.  Oh, I will miss him.  He is a rare person who understands me and how I feel and what I have been through.  Will keep in touch.  There was a man in visiting him from Concordia.  Really nice.  Fun to talk with people who like art and stuff.

    Had supper with my brother.  Great food.  The staff were ornery too.  Fun to laugh.

    Watching Rachel Maddow.  How sad it is that almost her entire show was about farm animal wormer medication, those who are pushing it, those who are selling it, and those who take it but refuse vaccination or masks.  We are a very stupid country.  I cannot imagine anyone convincing me to take cattle medicine.  How stupid do you have to be??

    I noticed a huge number of barn swallows or field swallows in my pasture on the electricity wires.  Are they planning to leave here already?  For whatever reason I have no barn swallows near my house.  We used to.  Miss them.  Not been close enough to tell which kind they are in the pasture.

    There was soccer tonight. I never considered to go.  I simply will not sit out in the heat.  Wish it would cool off so I can go enjoy my teams playing.
