4/2026 - Tisdagen den 7:e - MY JOURNEY

 

My town.  Nice poster.  The road going through town is a highway.  It goes to Marquette KS.  My church is on the upper portion of it, just right of center.

Today's Name Day:  Irma,  Irmalin

Knew  a very sweet lady name Irma.  She & her first husband were good friends of my father-in-law.  I knew another Irma or two in town.

    I had another sort of rough day.  Sore throat when I cough.  Tired of coughing spells.  Tired of being tired but sleep escapes me.  I was awake until 6am last night.  I actually napped in bed this afternoon.  Cinder curled up next to me for most of it.  Nice.  I needed some attention for a change.  Kisse was in her bed.  Very near me.

    Weather is the same old stuff.  Too warm ---- 70s.  Lows in the 40s.  Wind gusts in the 30+ mph.

    I saw all 6 kittens in the usual box this morning while Miss Kitty was out & about.  They are missing now but she & I got to love each other.  Fed her again.  Had my phone but no cattle again.  Dang.  I picked up mail that was delivered.

    Lindsborg has a new nutrition place opening.  Drinks.  Maybe will try it.  Would be great to get something different to eat tonight, too.  Ha!

    JS texted me last night at 3am when he gets up to go to work.  He had ignored me all weekend even knowing I was sick.  He is not alone in forgetting me. 

    Only email from JL.  Sounds like she had a good Easter.  Happy for her.

    Windy today.  Hard to get out on the porch.  It kept blowing the door in my way.

    I took a short shower last night before bed.  Felt nice.  And changed my night gown.  New & different is good.

    Have a Swedish lady coming to Lindsborg tomorrow.  LL is picking her up.  I doubt I will get to meet her.  There is a buffet in her honour but I cannot go as I cannot get a plate of food & walk with my walker.  Such is life.  Hard enough at my historical group to just get cookies on a small plate & get back to my chair.  No one offers help.  Once in a while there is one lady who will offer to help.  But if she is not there I get no help.

    I have saved photos online & ignored them.  They are used today.  Have a huge collelction!!!  Good to thin it out.

    TV sucks.  Still no CBS.  Now I have heard there is a law suit maybe starting.  Found a site talking about what is going on.  Channels want to stop Gray Media from adding more channels all willy nilly just to make more money.  I am tired of it.  Channels must pay Gray to show their channels.  Gray has raised the rate a lot.  All about money.  Not about customers.  I can see most of what I am missing but it ties up my laptop. Stupid.

Today's Name Day:  Harald,  Hervor

Willie's brother was Harold.  Died long before Willie.

    My day started a bit bad.  I had slept good.  I had at least 1 cat in bed with me most all night.  Odd but nice.  I got dressesd & ate lunch with no problem.  On the way to town, I got so sick in my stomach.  I thought I would have to just turn around to go home.  I finally started to feel better so I went to work,  No further problems.  Odd problems.  I am sure it was something I ate.

    Before I got in my car here came Miss Kitty.  So I sat on the bench & we bonded a bit.  She is sweet.  Her water is about gone.  Must refill before bed.

    I was excited to meet out new director, Hayley.  And I found out we have known each other for a long time.  Except she was a child & I was an adult.  I forgot.  She has changed a lot!!!  She knows Willie's family, lots of my neighbours, etc.  What a hoot!!!  We had a great talk. Here is her photo.

She is super cool.  I am usually not part of business discussions.  I am just the photo girl.  She asked my opinion on something they were all discussing.  Nice to be included.  I know my place but nice to be asked.

    And then someone came in to talk to my coworkers.  I know him well but he has been known to not even say hello to me.  I forced him to today.  No need for anyone to be rude,

    And then my scanner.  All afternoon I could scan one photo.  ONE.  Then turn the scanner completely off & back on.  Scan another photo.  Repeat rebooting again.  All afternoon.  I hope it blows up.  It was starting not want to turn back on.  Or forget blowing up, just die.  Period.

    It stayed cold today.  In the 50s.  It rained lightly while I worked.

    JR & I ate at Jalisco's.  Nice to see my amigos.  Food did not bother me.  Had a burger & fries & ice cream.  It was not too busy.

    It started raining lightly when I started for home.  Got home & there were the llamas in the pasture.  Too far away for a photo.

    MM is preparing everyone that he will be away for a couple of weeks to move into his new home.  I see one of his kids is here to visit.  And all his paperwork has been signed so the house is his.  Very good,  Maybe he has sensed my feelings of being left out.  Just me.  I am always left out of everything.  No groups of friends for me. No family times.  Except for one meal on thursdays.

    Lots of rain clouds on the radar.  Hope we have a chance for more real rain.  KN added some dirt to the low spot in my drive.  See what happens if we actually have rain.

This is a photo I found today of a former best friend, Denice.  Oh the fun we had!!  We bowled a lot, we ate out a lot, we smoked, & we drank beer!!!  I miss her.  But she got very ill with MS.  Married her long time boyfriend,  He knew he diagnosis,  But he loved.  She got sicker & they moved away.  She died & soon after he died.  Bless her soul.
