7/2026 - Sunday the 5th- MY JOURNEY

 

Wish I was there.  I loved Hawaii.  Beautiful & nice people.

Today's  Name. Day:  Ritva , Laila

    Today was a good day.  I slept good & am walking pretty good.  Nice.  Cats ate fair overnight.  Normal.  Daisy always eats whatever I give her.

    I keep hoping for changes outside but nothing ever changes.  I will keep hoping.  And talk to my guardian angels.  Maybe they can help.  I refuse to beg.

    I was supposed to see someone at work today but I was sure it would not happen.  And I was right.  No surprise.

    Had two visitors at work.  One is working on the upcoming show in October at the gallery y Bethany College.  Sounds really great!!  The other is my family.  I have always known we are related but he was clueless.  We had a great visit.  Art, politics, family, his parents.  I really like him!!

    Got a text from someone wanting me to work in August for her.  Great!!  I warned MH I would need him.

    I planned to watch Norway & Brazil live at work.  What a joke.  Nothing worked.  JR looked up the score at supper.  I was quite excited!!! Norway won!!!  Very cool.  Even a friend in Sweden was rooting for them!!!  Now at home is England & Mexico.  Hoping for a Mexico win.

    Supper was at Pizza Hut.  I got a very nice hug & he made sure I was ok.  Nice to be cared for. He is the best. I ordered something I thought I liked.  Not hungry.  Came home & had a cookies.

    Did my Spanish lesson & it was actually easy.  How did that happen!!  I have quit pushing my self.

Where I work at the Old Mill.  I work in the basement of this building with my scanner & photos.

Turkeys in my yard.  When Willie was alive he would clean out the combines here & the turkeys liked it.

Rain storm.

Seven years ago we cut Willie's last wheat he sowed.  Seems like yesterday.  A day full of tears & laughter.  I fed them pizza.  Never spent that much in Pizza Hut!!!

Had a friend Sandra I went to school with & we were car hops together at A&W in Lindsborg.

    Another quiet, alone day.  Getting used to it.  At least the weather felt cooler.  It wasn't cooler but no sun helped.  Plus I felt chilly overnight.  Felt good to bundle up under covers.

    Had a long email from JL.  That was about it.  I give up.  Do I have to beg for any slight attention??  I tried. yesterday but only got my comments being liked not truly answered.

    Last night JS & I had a video chat for almost an hour.  He had not taken his pill that helps him sleep yet.  He always has 2 cats on his bed near him.  Cinder laid on me & we had to rub noses.  More than once.  He loved watching her!!  What a sweet baby.  We had a nice visit.  Need his friendship.  Wish he was here.

    We had super high winds in Kansas today.  I think ours was around 40mph.  But in the SW part of the state winds were much higher.  Around 50 - 60mph.  And then fires started.  They had to evacuate people as the fires were moving fast towards their homes..

    Cinder followed me to the kitchen for her lunch treat when I fixed my lunch.  Then she disappeared.  She found a comfy place to nap somewhere.  BUT.  She never showed up again.  She usually follows Kisse & I to the bedroom to nap.  No Cinder.  Could not see her anywhere.  I got worried.  I finally started calling her.  All over the house.  No Cinder.  She finally showed up.  What a relief.  Not sure where she napped.  Sometimes she sleeps on the floor near the TV.  Or she hides in the kitchen.  Now she is back.  And we cuddled for a while.  I even put out extra food that has been ignored.

    I have decided not to work for MH this friday.  I just do not feel good enough to work an extra day.  Tired & sore.

    Saw I just got some mail.  A box no doubt.  Hate to go out to sort through the mail in the dark,  But I am so glad I went out to check.  I had preordered a book from a cool guy I follow on Threads.  And it came today!!  I am excited to get it.  Now for time to read it!!!  And improve me.

    Heavy, heavy snow in Italy Olympics.  Cancelled events yesterday.  Fun to see snow even if not here.

    Just got a text from MM.  Pleasantly surprised.

    Photos are a mix.  I had too many last night so I only used half & saved some for tonight.  Love the art drawing pictures.  I am addicted to them.  One site has tons that can be shared.

01/2026 - Torsdagen den 05:e - MY JOURNEY

 

One of my many chronic illnesses.  It is behaving today.

Today's Name Day:  Agata,  Agda

    Had a fun day.  Lunch out with my thursday lunch group.  Ate at the White Peacock today.  I had biscuits & gravy.  Love it!!  Had lots of conversation & laughs.  Fun day.

    Tried to take a short nap but that did not happen.  Got up to work on a project I have put off.  About done.  Got caught up on my soaps (novellas) while working.

    Cats are still napping.  I am out of one of their favorite foods.  More comes on saturday.  They will survive.  Pouting though.

    Temp got to almost 70F today.  House was far too hot.  Turned my ac on for awhile.  Now set to nothing working.  Fine without it .  Tomorrow sort of the same but a bit cooler with strong north winds.

    No mouse so difficult for me to create my blog.  New  mouse comes tomorrow.  Hope it works.

    Just got a phone call from MM that he is off work today & we could meet for supper.  Nice idea.  Half way to town he called again.  His room mate had started a fire on their stove & MM had to be there.  Roommate is not on the lease so what ever what going to take place MM had to be there.  He is the leasee.  He never made it to eat with me.  Jalisco's was super busy.  I hoped he would make it but he did not.  The one girl has quit & moved to Nebraska.  So it was only MS & her husband.  They were running!  He even took my order.  And the cook delivered to me in person.  It was ok.  Did get time to visit with the 2 workers.  They are the best.

    Home now.  Time for photos.  Not too many.
