03/2026 - Torsdagen den 5:e - MY JOURNEY

 

Still missing my winter.  Going to be an extra long summer.

Today's Name Day:  Tore,  Tove

    Had a better day.  Not a lot of sleep thanks to my phone.  But had a nice cozy nap.  I stretched out on the sofa.  Woke up with Cinder laying on my chest.  Very nice.

    It was foggy overnite & this norning.  Right now there is rain in my area.  Small area.  Stronger storms later.

    Sort of ignored again.  MM sent me photos of Sorion who is here visiting his dad.  I am glad MM sees his kids more often than before.

    Had an enmail from JL.  And my usual morning & bedtime graphics fron C&N.

    I have readers fron Canada.  I like that.  Good people there, unlike here.  We have problems.

    I got so surprised last night.  On Duolingo they actually passed to the next level up.  I was sure I was not doing good enough.  The lessons in Spanish are about weather.  At least something I am familiar with.  Missing my Mexican amigos.  Hope I get to see them tomorrow evening.  Been a loong lonely week for me at home alone.

    No llamas today.  I was asleep.  Dang.

    Photos today are a mix.  I played with some photos that I have taken.  I changed them to B&W then edited them further.  Some are ok.  Some I just don't like.

    Tonight is my favorite tv night.  And just found some shows of Jeff Dunham. Love him.  Got to see him live in Las Vegas.  So funny!!

12/2023 Tisdag the 19th -- Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

National Hard Candy Day 

Today's Name Day is Isak

    Had a really good day.   Other than Nico keeping me up often during the night.   But no problem.   Whatever he wants.    

    I met Mikael for lunch at Jalisco's.   Good to spend time with him & chat.   I need to be with people more than staying home alone.   Jalisco's was super busy.   When I got there it was quiet & Miguel & I had a chance to visit a bit.   Later we could barely say hi!!!   That is good though.

     Came home & took a nap.   The minute my head hit the pillow I was out.   Nice nap.

    Picked JR up at 5 & we were off to Salina.   Had supper at Arby's.   Had my fave ---- beef sandwich & an apple turnover.   Perfect.   Then we drove around to look at Christmas lights.   They were all so pretty.   But my favorite house had not one light.   Did they sell their house?   Are they gone for the holidays?   Their house is HUGE.   Probably 3 stories.   Looked foreboding all dark.  There are a couple of places I like to go.   Hit them all.   I did not take one photo.  Too much traffic.   But I enjoyed seeing them all.   I need to just take some photos in Lindsborg.  This week sometime.

    Nico must not feel good tonight,   I fed him before eating my supper but he was not interested in a treat or anything when I got home.   Just water.   He is getting sicker.   Now he is napping.   What a worry.   My stress gets worse every day.   I don't want to lose my baby puppy.   We have been together for over 9 years.

24 february, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

    I was done before I got up.  No sleep until 7am or 8am.  I cancelled the entire day.  Just could not do it.

    During the night Nico decided he could not jump out of bed.  Huh??  And that was it.  No going outside then.  I swear he is getting dementia.  Then this morning when he did go out he stepped on something that made him limp & walk on 3 legs.  His foot looked ok to me.  Who knows?

    Cinder was in all night.  She went out for a super short time in the extreme cold & not again.  She just stayed in bed.  Smart kitty.  I saw 7F last night and only 27F today.

    I tried to nap but low blood sugar stopped me from an entire nap.

    JR & I ate at Jalisco's.  They had steady business.  I had not had my fave shrimp dinner for a long time.  It was very good.  Good to see the staff.

    Quiet day.  No texts or anything from anyone.  Hard to be alone.  Makes me sad.  I sent one message that has not been read yet.

    Photos are a mix of memories.  The first photo is of the moon, Jupiter, & Venus taken tonight.  The second photo is of me with a Swedish soccer coach on my left & her family on my right.  Her name is Pia Sundhage.  It was a huge honor to meet her.  Cool lady.  The third photo is of my 3 great grandsons.  I made it a couple of years ago.

                

14 october, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Nice day.  Slept well.  Nico must sense the weather is going to get cold.  When I rested this afternoon he stayed under the covers the entire time.

    We sat out for a while before I left for supper.  He & Cinder had time to say Hello & interact.  They are cute together.  While out, I saw our 2 deer headed to the pond.  They are so sweet looking.  Nice to give Cinder some attention also.

    Supper with JR at Jalisco's.  They were quiet when we got there then it got busier.  I guess this morning they were really busy.  Got to talk to all the kitchen help.  When we got there was one of my favorite artists.  I got to chat a bit with him.  On our way out was another favorite artist.  We got to visit also.  Her son had been here from another state but I missed seeing him.  But we are on FB & chat.

    I called my propane supplier to see if they can fix my heater so it gets propane to it.  They did it last november.  Getting cold & might need a little heat.  They even have said it might get down to 29F or so.  That might be a sofa night if I have no heat.  We were in the 80s today.  Pleasant outside with a nice breeze.  My oak tree is really losing leaves!!!  And the acorns are dropping fast!  One hit my carport roof & it sounded like someone shot at us!!!

    I got photos of the bulls today.  Content & grazing.
