National Chocolate-Covered Nut Day

Today's Name Day: Sigvard, Sigvert

    Another day of nothing.  Slept welll last night thanks to Cinder.  She stayed close most of the night.  Then went out when I got up.

    Far, far too hot for now.  Almost 80F.  Saving lots of propane though.  One cold day midweek with snow.  Then near 80 again.  Hating this.  I have officially given up on winter.  I guess better that everyone else is happy.  Guess I don't matter.

    Got a camera for the front porch but having trouble setting it up.  Nothing goes easy anymore.  Sigh......

    Laid down to take a nap & must have laid wrong.  Woke up with a bad headache.  Blah.  Cancelled supper.  Try again tomorrow.

    No texts or emails.  Feeling more invisible than usual.  Why try???

    Nothing more to say.  Sorry for a boring post.  Photos are a mix with some explanations.

                            

My bestie for years with his two dogs who also loved me.  He died a few years ago.  Always miss him.

Red Barn Studio where I worked for 5 years or so.  Very cool place.

White Cross Hill.  I can see it from my yard.  Has a white cross painted on the side of it.  It was a missile site in the cold war.  The troops lived here.  Then it became a nursing home I worked in for a few years.

Never been there but being alone & forgotten there has got to be better than here.  Would not take much to be better.

National Banana Bread Day

Today's Name Day: Torsten, Torun

    Had a good day today.  And look 100% better!!  I slept after 2am.  Cinder was cuddling often.'

    I got up earlier than usual.  Had my hair cut/colored today.  Cinder was missing when I leflt.  I had the TV on, fixing food & feeding Kisse.  No Cinder.  She was sleeping somewhere.  Home all day but met at the door when I got home!

    I had not had my hair cut in far too long.  Same with colouring.  I could actually see my roots!!  No bueno!!  And so good to see Henry.  He gave me a list of movies to look for.  One is Saltburn.  Not online now.  Then Zone of Interest.  Has got to be a horrific movie.  It is online now.  Look it up.  Will report when I see it.  And Feud, Capote vs The Swans.  It is not online now either.  Dang.  One is better than none.

    After I was looking gorgeous I went to Lindsborg to wash my car & pick up meds.  Then JR & I ate at the Crown & Rye.  It was so good but too much for me.  Still a touchy tummy.

    I was tired when I got home & took a very short nap.  Then supper & spanish.  So running late now.

National Football Hangover Day 

Today's Name Day:  Evelina, Evy

    Today was a cancelled day & a jammie day.  Have had trouble with my blood sugar since the end of last week.  And now my glucose tablets are causing me to be sick to my stomach.  I felt crappy all last night & got little sleep.  Even Cinder deserted me.  😠  Next time I got low will eat some real food.  Better than a sick stomach.

    I had a lunch date.  I hated to cancel.  I really looked forward to it.  With a good friend at a new place.  But right after I wrote my cancel text I felt worse.  I just gave up.

    I slept all day.  I was careful what I ate for lunch & just now for supper.  Better day eating wise.  Again, Cinder abandoned me & went outside.  Nice day for her.

    It was cold last night but not too bad today.  I was out briefly to get some mail..  Felt nice.  Cold again tonight.  Snow on friday, so they say.  Time will tell.

Heart made by a cousin many years ago.  She is an adult mom now.  It is always in my car.

02/2024 Söndag the 11th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

National Peppermint Patty Day 

Today's Name Day:  Inge, Yngve

    Have had a pretty good day.  Slept good with Cinder laying on me all night.  Then I got up around 8am.  My laptop was to be here today & someone had to sign for it.  So I moved to the sofa.  Again Cinder laid on me all morning.  At noon she wanted outside.  Opened the door & there was a large box on the porch.  My laptop.  No knock on the door & no signature needed,  Sheesh. 😡

    All afternoon I was making sure everything was set up perfect.  Plus I had made changes on my windows pc.  Now all is well.  Nice to have it back!!!

    JR & I had supper at China.  Decided Pizza Hut would be too busy & have too many in house & call in orders.  China was quiet.  And they have more help.  Good to see.

    JR ran into the grocery store for both of us.  I was out of important things like cookies &  Pepsi!!!  😊

    Got cold last night,  I saw 29F.  I guess it lightly snowed,  I never saw it,  Only saw the radar,  It was cool today.  Colder tonight again.  Not ready for warm weather.

    Tonight is one of the safe nights to be on the roads.  All the drunks are inside somewhere by a TV watching the Super Bowl..  I am even watching it here at home.  I sort of care.

    MM is bartending at the Legion.  His specialty drink is red with glitter in it.  Cool!!!

National Umbrella Day

Today's Name Day: Iris

    Another so-so day.  Cinder slept on me all night.  On me!!  We both slept pretty good.  I did wake up once with a headache.  Took some tylenol & it went away.

    When we got up for lunch, Cinder went outside.  Came in briefly & back out.  I napped alone today.  😞

    When I was getting ready to out for supper my blood sugar bottomed out.  I took some glucose pills then I got nauseated.  Plus I was shaking pretty hard, almost violently.  I cancelled going anywhere.  Eventually I got to feeling better, that just takes the life out of me.  Damn.  I had my mouth set on salmon for supper & ice cream.  No bueno.

    Next to no texts today.  A few this evening.  People are too busy.  Even if they love me.

    I could not get my crap laptop to charge yesterday.  It kept telling me to plug it in somewhere with more power.  I left it plugged in all night & it was charged this morning.  I hate windows products.  I get my new one back soon.  Thank goodness.  I want it back so bad.

    Cold today & tomorrow.  Rain/snow south of us.  May not affect us here.  We were in the 20s last night.

National Pizza Day

Today's Name Day:  Frannie, Franciska

    Had a so-so day.  Slept good.  But still not peppy.

    I think Cinder has caught my laziness.  I offered her to go out twice & she just looked at me.  After lunch she curled up on my chest & we napped together.  Very nice.  She finally went outside.  And it is sure nice out.

    It got in the 30s last night & the 50s today.  House was pleasant.  Had fewer clouds today.  But chance of rain tomorrow & snow or rain on sunday.  And late next week we are in the 30s again.  Where it should be.  It is NOT spring yet.  A shock to many.

    I woke up with a headache & cancelled supper.  JR was ok as there is a ball game he is going to.  Worked out good for both of us.  Although I miss eating "real" food & not my poor cooking!

    My internet has been super quiet today.  There are days like that.
