08/2025 - Martes the 26th - JOURNEY

 

I had a great day but still wish Nico was here to celebrate.

Today's Name Day:  Östen

    

    Had a much better day today.  Did not sleep well thought.  My blood sugar stayed low most of the night.  I got so sick of eating ---- food, glucose tabs, whatever.  Finally I got some sleep.

    Lunch plans with MM.  We chose Crown & Rye.  I got a French Dip sandwich.  It was ok but too many onions but other than that ok.  Then he had to be at the city building for a meeting.  The next stop was the bank,  Then AuBurn to get a brace for his leg.  Much easier to wear & walk in.  And one last stop at another bank to pay his rent.  Then we both went home.

    I shampooed my hair.  It is so easy to style thanks to a good hair cut.  Does not take long.

    I managed a short nap.  Cinder moved on the sofa with me.  She laid with me off & on all last night.  She is a blessing.  But everytime I change how I am laying or get up to the bathroom Kisse comes to check on me in bed.  Not for a long time just some cuddle time.  Nice!

    I looked at my calendar last night.  I saw that I am scheduled to work the next 3 weekends!  I forgot about one of them.  But then I remembered the forgotten one.  What a shame my jobs do not include a pay check!!!  😁

08/2025 - Lunes the 18th - JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Ellen, Lena

I had a cousin name Ellen Jewel, I have several cousins in Sweden named Lena.  Love that name.  Not pronounced Leenah.

    Today was a good day.  Other than the weather.  Hotter than hell today. When I drove to Lindsborg it was 100F.  Double ick.  After I got home tonight the humidity was deathly.  Where oh where is autumn????

    Had a nice nap with Cinder curled next to me the entire time purring the entire time.  Very nice.

    JR & I ate at Jalisco's for supper.  They are closed for at least a week.  Changing the carpet, cleaning the bricks, changing all the art work.  No idea about the tables & chairs.  They are not super old, but who knows.  They are from Mexico.  Very cool.  We sat near the front door.  I got a good photo of the entire inside.  Several people praised me for taking it & how good it will help show the new look.  All are excited,

    MM called while we were still in Jalisco's.  He was starving & wanted to order food from there if I could deliver.  Of course.  Will help him get groceries sometime in the next 2 days.

    JR & I got some groceries & ice cream bars for dessert.

    A hurricane is due to hit North Carolina & is a Category 4 storm.  And now there is no FEMA to help with cleanup & support.  Sad.  They are so screwed.  Very sad for the US.  😱

    There is a thunderstorm west of us now.  Hope we get some cooler air & rain.  I am in the processing of learning to paise wherever I go.  I praised that storm to the max on the way home.

Today's Name Day:  Susanna

Not sure I know any Susannas, but several years ago JR & I were eating in Wichita.  Next to us was a table of several older women, totally enjoying their food & each other.  The one lady had a basket of stuffed animals the others were selecting ones they wanted.  I watched with interest.  There was one large bunny no one chose.  The lady who owned it gave it to me.  ME!!!  I was so surprised.  Her name was Susanna so I named my bunny Susanna.  It sits near my bed.  Very special bunny & memory. 💓

    I had an ok day.  I waited for RG to call to eat out but he must be busy.  I called him but no call back.  No problem.  See him another day.

    Over the weekend on friday & saturday someone tried to get into my one bank.  The bank locked my account & told me to call on monday.  I did that this morning but they wanted me to come in.  They checked the emails they sent & all was well.  They unlocked my account & gave me a new sign on name.  Then they gave me a password of numbers.  I signed on & changed my password right away.  All is well.  Then on to another bank where I was overdrawn.  Trying to support two other families takes it toll.  Now fixed.  For now.

    Next I fueled my car.  Price was pretty cheap.  Nice.  I thought of getting a salad for supper but saved my money.  Have food at home.  No fun.  At least I am cautious.

    Had rain overnight. I got an impressive 0.49".  Everyone else got much more.  As always.  Lindsborg got more.  Marquette got lots more.  I ignore the weather on the news.  Now hot & humid is returning.  No more rain.

    I thought of stopping in somewhere in town to say hello but just too tired.  Came home to nap.

    Had one email.  Nice one.  And a good morning text.  MM ignored me until I wrote him.  Still in pain.  Me too.

    TV is better tonight.  New episodes of Mysteries of the Unknown. I have seen a couple of them but some are new.  Better than reruns.  Rachel Maddow is on tonight live.  Will watch it at 9pm.

    My RA & Sjogrens are bad.  My skin is so dry it just flakes off.  Lotion does no good.  And it hurts to itch.
