5/2026 - Tuesday 12th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Lotta , Charlotta

I have a friend named Charlotte.  And a special cousin named Charlotte.  She has passed away & I miss her & her wonderful sense of humor.

    Today was a good day.  Up earlier than usual.  First thing was a shampoo & style.  Then lunch.  Then Cinder & I took a long nap..  Kisse did also but no idea where she was.  Hiding somewhere.  I told Cinder she was in charge!!!

    Got dressed & tried to look presentable then off to town.  Took flower photos in my driveway.  Then on to Jalisco's for supper.  I ate most of it.

    After eating it was my historical group's board meeting.  It was actually fun today.  I did not feel so left out.

    The program tonight at our meeting was done by a friend of mine & another person.  They talked about women & Bethany College from the beginning.  Very interesting.  I enjoyed it.  And someone even made an effort to sit next to me.  That is rare.  I did not try to get a drink & a plate of treats carrying cane.  Someone did offer to get them for me but I decided my BS was probably too high.

    I removed my glucose sensor today.  It just had a few hours to go.  I wonder how many weeks before I get new ones?  They texted me last week & said I could get new ones.  But today they are talking to my doctor to check to make sure my insurance covers them.  Sheesh.  Nothing has changed.  They asked if I had a 2 week supply of them & I said no.  So here I sit.  sticking my finger.

    Much warmer today.  I saw 91 this afternoon.  Ick.  One weather place says storms on thursday.  TV says storms this weekend.  Who knows??

    I cancelled my monday doctor app't.  Scheduled oil change for monday afternoon.  And lunch out on thursday & coffee after lunch.

    Got a card in the mail today from JL.  I loved it!!!  So funny!!  Made my day!!!

    Trash picked up today.  And they put the bins back where I had them.  Amazing.  KN has to arrange them like I like but no hurry.  Makes life so much easier for me.  That in itself is rare.

    LL told me tonight at our board meeting she has something for me at work tomorrow.  OMG!!! Could it be???  Might it be???  A new scanner?!!!  Now I am excited.  Probably only cookies or something.  I will report tomorrow.

And we still have the chair she is sitting on.

I love my cats.  I could not survive without them.

Today's Name Day:  Malkolm,  Morgon

I have only known one Malcolm in my life.  He was a local artist.  Worked with metals.  Made Swedish wedding crowns.  He was very instrumental with the Old Mill being saved & made to work again.  All parts in it are original.  Nothing was ever removed or sold.  Malcolm's daughter & I were a grade apart.  She is now a great artist & we are still friends.

    Another less than great day.  I changed my glusose sensor last night.  And it never worked right.  Not for one minute.  Proceeded to beep all night.  Kept me awake.  And it was wrong all night.  I gave it all day to get itself ok but never happened,  Before supper I removed it & after supper I started a new one.  Hope this one is better.  Or I might quit & just order from Amazon.  Probably order when I need.  I hope.

    I felt pretty rough & cancelled all day.  Calling it a Jammie Day.  Both of my knees hurt overnight.  The right one never hurts.  It was replaced.  Both hurt bad all night.  Pain cream kind of worked.

     I got worried about the cats today.  They ate nothing overnight or this morning.  And they were no where to be seen.  I had  too many bad feelings.  Usually when I turn the TV on they come check me out.  I walked back to put bedroom & they both were there.  I know Kisse hides under my bed Or under some shelves.  Cinder has her own hiding spots ---- maybe behind the washer.  Then they followed me to the living room.  But soon they were hidden again.  Odd.  Maybe our awful weather bothers them also.

    I tried to nap but could not relax.  Awful day.  I finally turned on my laptop.  Finished watching soaps & 2 evening shows.  Taping skating all day today.  Can watch tomorrow or monday.

    We had high winds & fire warnings.  It blew a few of my boxes around.  They did not go anywhere.  I restacked them.  I really need to carry trash out.  Have not dared to with the high winds.

    Emailed with JL today.  MM quiet & is off for a concert in Wichita.  Wish I had a life to look forward to.  FOMO

    Today is LL's last day as director of the Old Mill.  New one starts on monday.  A really good one.  I am hopeful.  Hope my scanner gets replaced soon.  Two of us use it all the time.  We should not have to suffer.

    Posted more Yoder KS photos.  Went there twice.  Once with LL & once with JR.  I want to go back,  Love their homemade bread & cinnamon rolls.

    Photos today all have the artists listed on them.  Some are cute.

    Have 16 more minutes until my glucose sensor will work again.  Hope it is ok.  (working ok now)
