04 october, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Another day of the best & the worst.  Not as bad as it was yesterday.  Got up & checked my blood sugar.  What a total shock.  It was 138 & after lunch it was 90.  Great!!!  Finally I am not so stressed getting back to normal.

    I had a lunch date I really looked forward to today but I got stood up.  I almost cried.  I waited a while & made a phone call.  No answer & nothing the rest of the day.  I ate alone & went home.  My amigos mexicanos were nice & supportive.

    Why am I always the one left out, ignored, or not included?  I am at the point where I just do not care.  I want to care but if it is a one way street, I am done.  It just cannot be asking too much to have a friend or two I can depend on & trust.  And when someone promises me something they follow through.  I try to.  Maybe I do not deserve anything.  I swear my entire life has been living in karma but I do not know for what.

    Weather is nice again.  Temps were 52 & 86.  Pleasant.  The weather even mentioned frost in the forecast tonight.  Colder weather is coming.  There is rain west of me but it is not amounting to much.  I would have liked to sit outside for a while but I saw a mosquito or two.  Hate those.  I think hot weather is even better than them.

    I got asked to work this month at the SVAFC.  I thought maybe they forgot about me!!  New show to see too.  I hear it is great!

23 september, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    A nice day.  Peaceful & no drama.  I survived some a couple of days ago.  It was my granddaughter's birthday.   I am not allowed to contact her or her brother.  I will say no more.  I don't dare push anything.  Their parents have tons of guns.  I get scared.  I do not trust either of them.

    Got in the 50s last night.  High today in the 70s.  Pleasant.

    Came home & had 2 turkey vultures on the light pole.  They are cool to see.

    Supper was at Jalisco's with JR & PM.  Good food & good conversation.  And they got very busy.  Very good.

    Back at home I am texting with a friend from Arkansas.  Gossiping about a mutual friend.  Only good things though.

    The politics here have gotten very interesting.  Finally!!!  Will be fun to watch it all play out.

    Now Spanish lesson time.  New area so right now it is easy.  Won't last.

21 september, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Super day.  Peaceful & cool outside.  Need lots of days like this!  Temps are good.  I think during the night it was in the 80s & then dropped when the cold front arrived here.  Before my rest period it was 77.  Right now it is 59F.  Windy this afternoon & now.  Loving the weather!!!

    Last night there was a flicker in my tree.  A large woodpecker.  Cool to see.  This afternoon I saw a blue heron out by my pond.  Huge wings.

    I think Nico has been preparing for cooler weather.  He is under my blankets more than he is on top.  Adding a second blanket tonight.  And maybe a winter nightgown.  Will be hard to get up tomorrow.

    Today was a work day but the board or someone was using the archive area where I work so I could not go in.  I could go in tomorrow but I already an app't in Salina.  I would barely get there when I would have to leave & then no time to go back.  I am not happy I already had plans.  Phooey.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  They got sort of busy & lots of takeout meals.  Good conversation.  CT always makes sure to say Hola & Adios.  He is special.  JS was ornery.  He always makes me smile & laugh.  I even got a hug tonight.

    My friend in Morocco video chatted with me a couple of nights ago.  He was walking home.  It was mostly dark.  I like seeing where he lives.  I like seeing him.  We had a nice visit.

    Nico got his yearly shots yesterday.  He was really slow last night.  Sort of like me after my Covid shot or flu shot.  He ate late.  Went out twice to potty & he could not.  He laid close to me & slept.  Today he is normal.

14 september, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Last night was quite good.  Slept all night & only a tiny bit of pain this morning.  So nice for a change.  See what tonight does to me.

    Today was a work day at the Old Mill.  So glad to be there.  One of our gorgeous old old trees got sick & could not be saved, so it is gone.  But they are making all sorts of cool things out of the wood to sell.  I am excited to see what they are.

    I worked on more school photos.  I saved a couple of cool ones.  And I see a really old old one coming up next week.  I plan to share.

    For some reason part of the afternoon the time moved beyond slow.  I swear I saw 2pm on the clock 10 times!!!  Then it got better.  Weird.

    I ran errands before work & after work.  Scary when I am organized!!

    Tonight supper at Jalisco's.  They got really busy for a while.  JS knows the smoke from fajitas bother me.  So it is his goal to walk every single one by me as slow as possible.  People behind me ordered two, so on his way to deliver them, he stopped at our booth just to make sure all was ok with us.  I just love him more every day!!! 😆

    Weather was ok.  Nice breeze.  Our temps were 73F & 95F.  The weekend is to be hot but then cooler.  I am soooo sick of summer.  😱  I want autumn.

    Nico just about drove me to drink tonight.  He pottied, bonded with Cinder, had a cookie, dog food & a treat.  But he continued to just pester me.  Finally out to potty again.  Then he thought I should move out of my end of the sofa.  I refused.  He is now curled next to me.  Finally.

    Another gorgeous sunset tonight.  People who live near me were out standing near the road to see it.  I will share my photos.  Plus some pink photos.  I was in a pink mood, even my top is pink.

                            

09 september, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Well, got the date wrong yesterday.  Well, duh!!

    I added a bit to the name of my blog.

    Good day in the day but last night was not good.  I went to bed & all was well until I decided to turn over.  My hip hurt more than usual &  I could barely move.  What brought that on?  I hurt all night but today have been ok.

    Went to town early to get to the bank before it closed.  Then JR & I went to eat early since there was to be lots of activity on Main Street.  It was not too busy by the time we left.  JR stayed on Main Street to take photos of the musicians & art.

    There is a cloud to the west.  Rain?  There is a small storm west of here.  May not get here.  I am not hopeful yet.

    Our weather was ok.  Our temps were 67F & 96F.  Did not feel too bad outside.  Cinder here all day.  Nice to get a little love when I went out.  And she & Nico have a sweet love relationship.  He checks on her before anything else.  Sweet.

    Last night my friend from NY called.  We had a nice visit.  I miss her.  I found out there is a train that goes near her & 3 hotels.  Road trip??  That would be fun if we can work it out.

    The sunflowers are just exploding everywhere here!  Fun to drive to town.  I need to take some back roads with my camera.

Sheltering in Place, Mood Of Silence, Day 234......

 A so-so day. No sleep. My phone would beep with a message so I would look. Then I could not read it and grab my glasses. And finally my phone. So tense. I finally got some sleep on the soffa. 

JR and I ate at Jalisco's. It was medium busy. Did not visit too much. Maybe they are tired of me. I am tired of me!!! (-: I tried a soft taco. I like it for a change. I only ate half of it. Nico got the leftover meat when I got home. He was soo intent on eating I managed a cookie in the kitchen and he never noticed! Silly dog.

Nice weather but windy. Not much change until monday. Colder, rain or snow. Who knows.
