10/2025 - Jueves the 30th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Elsa, Isabella

Have known an Elsa or two.  A friend on FB has a dog named Isabella.

    Much better day.  Slept more & only 1 low BS episode.  Nice.  This afternoon was good also.  No low BS.  Nice nap time.

    I always watch the CBS news at 530pm.  Every  day it seems shorter & shorter.  Guess I am usually busy & don't pay attention.

    Met MM for lunch.  He thought he was working this morning but was not.  He works tonight so we had lunch together, nice & relaxful lunch.  Nice visit.  I enjoyed it.  I knew 2 of the help.  Good to see them.

    Then KN & one of his friends DD came in for lunch.  Great to see them.  DD has been ill but looks awesome!!  Then a couple came in & sat behind me.  I did not recognize them.  So I asked who they are.  OMG!! They guy is EC.  Known him since he was a child.  Knew his family.  We reconnected!!!  Nice!!  His 2 sisters both live far away from here.  Cannot find him on FB.  Dang.    

    Weather was good today.  In the 50s but last night I saw it got down to 30F here!!!  Our first freeze.  Some place in Kansas had a few snow flakes yesterday durning the day.  Did not amount to much.  But it is coming!!!  😀❆  In the 30s forecast for tonight also but warms up for the kids tomorrow night.  Next week is very dry.  The weather man says Salina is an inch & a half above normal. They may be but not me.  We always miss much of the rain.  Always.

    MM & his friend W are going to fix the screen on my bedroom window.  It is shredded beyond help.  Next week.

    Ordered some new foods for me to eat.  They are puff pastries.  Main dishes & desserts.  Tonight I had eggs & meat & for dessert apple pie.  I did one wrong but it still tasted good.  Dessert was great.  I have had them before but forgot how they heat.  Next time will go better.

    Spanish is next.  I dread it.  Last night went fairly good.  Just makes me nervous.  Maybe I should just not care & do what I can.  No matter how bad.  If I can't, I can't.  Who cares!!

    Tonight is my fave tv night.  Two good shows.  Fun tonight!

12/2024 Måndag the 16th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

 

Today'a Name Day:   Assar

    I have had a perfect day!!!  It  is hard for me to realize what a great day I have had!

    First I slept really good.  Plus I had a nice afternoon nap.

    Second I had a call from a doctor that is an eye specialist.  And she had an appointment to see me right away.  I hope she can help me so I can see again.

    Third on my way to town & driving down my drive way when something caught my eye.  I backed up & found sitting in a tree in my pasture an owl.  An OWL.  They are so rare to see or hear.  At least here.  I took several photos that were awful.  Changed to a different camera & I got one that was not great but I can see him.  He just sat & watched me.  Maybe he is around often & is used to seeing me drive down the drive.  Who knows??  I was so excited.  Now I will be looking for him often.

    Fourth, my stomach was borderline not well.  But I went to town to pick up JR.  We had pizza for supper.  I ate a small piece.  And all was well.

    Fifth, we drove all over town taking photos of Christmas lights.  My first ones were awful.  I finally got my camera settings correctly & then all was well.  Saw some pretty lights.  There was a special yard I really wanted to photograph.  And just as I parked, a pickup parked in front of them.  Dang.  Decided I would come back later.  As I drove by with my window down a lady was taking things out of her truck.  We both smiled & said Hello.  I got my photo later.

    Sixth, driving by my neighbours I saw a tractor parked in their front yard.  With Santa on it.  Very cool!!!

    Came home with an ok stomach.  Both cats demanded treats so they got them.  Then I emptied both of their litter boxes & put totally new litter in them.  THEN I got a treat!!!  Cake!

Today's Name Day: Kaj

    I am in a much better mood today.  No one has insulted me today.  No friends lost a pet today.  Willie is on my mind but only in good thoughts,  And my anxiety pill really let me sleep.  And Cinder stayed close.  She seems to know & care.  I could not have done 2 bad days in a row.

    I could not decide whether to go to Hutchinson or not.  So I did & almost was too late.  Doctor's office closes at 5pm.  I got there at 430pm.  Great timing though!!  Lots of parking lots,  Need to plan to be there around 4 more often,

    My diabetic doctor had me apply for help paying my most expensive drugs.  One ran around $300 each month.  The other was $35 for maybe a month.  Depends the dose ordered.  They took into consideration how much my social security is each month,  Plus do I live with someone who could help me pay for meds if needed.  Nope.  I live alone.  I have no one in my life who could help me financially or can help me finanially,  I am totally alone in that way.  I give & most others just take.  Rarely does anyone give me anything for any reason.  So today was really a good day for me.  Big money saver.

    On the way home I stopped in Inman KS to see a new mural on a tall elevator.  I have seen photos but in person it takes your breath away.  I drove all over town taking photos.  Want to go back & eat there.  Couple of yummy looking places.  My photos today are from Inman..

    I then went to McPherson for supper.  I had a beef sandwich, apple turnover, & drink at Arbey's.  And I listened to some talk shows on my phone that go through my radio.  Driving I had Elvis on today.  The day of his death is near.  What a loss for many.

    Got home & put Cinder out,  I tricked her in before I left,

    Called my nephew KN for help with something.  I just hate to bother him or anyone.  He is so special & nice to me.

    Had a nice email from a friend that made me feel much better.  She is a blessing.

    We had a super thunderstorm last night.  It was awesome!! Loud thunder, lots of bright lightning, heavy rain.  I emptied my rain gauge the other day.  There were rains worth of water in it measuring 2 inches.  Last night we got 1 inch.  So in the last week I had 3 inches.  Very nice.

    Warm today,  Saw around  90F.  I was not out much.  No rain tonight.  Rain tomorrow. Then cooler again.  Over 100 tomorrow.

07 august, 2022 Wandering

    Much better day today.  Less pain.  Still trouble sleeping but I took the strongest med I have.  Tried not to take it too close to morning, but it still left me a bit woozy around noon.  Heard my sofa calling my name!!

    Another scorcher today.  I saw 103F this afternoon.  Last night our coolest temp was 80F.  Tomorrow is to be cooler.  Yay!!  High in the 80s.  Will get a sweater out to wear!!!  😀

    There are showers to the west of us now.  Will we get a shower?  Probably not.  We miss out often.

    JR & I had lunch at Jalisco's.  They got quite busy.  I saw one couple I knew but they never saw me.  Or whatever.  We never spoke.

    Nico is mellow again today.  Nice.  Hope it lasts!

    I had "lost" an app on my laptop.  Found it last night.  Great!!  Downloaded a couple of new apps & had fun last night playing.

    The first 3 photos are of The Scheme.  A very cool restaurant in Salina.  The photo with a variety of paintings are the work of a close artist friend of mine.  He is here now so I need to call him & make plans.
