01/2026 - Monday the 20th - MY JOURNEY

 

Both look good.  They are a day late.

Today's Name Day:  Margareta , Greta

I went to school with a Greta.  Her sister was in my class.  Smart, cool girl.  I had a Margaret in my class.  We were good friends.  Part of a large group.  Mom had a cousin Margaret.  I knew her well.  Always enjoyed her company.  I miss the days when I had people in my life & family.

    Today is anything but good.  So hot it is unreal.  I saw a high of 104F or 40C.  It felt like 108F.  I was out with Daisy but not for long.  Need to carry trash out but I refuse.  I hurt far too much & it is far too hot.  Supposedly cooler midweek with rain.  Not holding my breath.  Any rain will miss my farm.  I can guarantee that.

    Both inside cats have stayed in our bedroom the last two nights.  No idea why.  But they are eating better.

    Spanish is not going well.  They moved me down a level.  I do not care.  Too sick & tired to care.  There should be a way you could tell them your are sick or have had a death in the family.  Give you a day or so to recover.  But like the rest of the world no one there cares either.

    And my phone is driving me crazy.  I wanted to post a graphic about the heat.  Just something cute.  It has tried all day.  But I checked & it is there but I still have a message saying it is still loading.  Grrr.

    Have another birthday of my oldest great grandson.  I know the day but not any of the plans.  More photos!!!

    I felt too bad yesterday I did not watch the last soccer match.  Just did not care.  And then the trophy ceremony was ruined as I knew it would be. But FIFA & Spain fixed it.  Loved what they did!!!  I am sure there "someone" who is quite upset!!!  Good deal!!!

    Eating big for supper.  Popcorn!!!  Sounds good.  Something different than tv dinners or lunch meat.  if only I could afford a maid & cook!!!  Ah, life would be awesome!

    Temp down to 101F.  No bueno.  I am ready for something to drink & food.  But not going out.

7/2026 - Saturday the 4th- MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Ulrika , Ulla

    Today was ok.  My walking is much better.  No one made fun of me & my walking.  My feelings are still pretty raw & hurt.  Takes a lot to surprise me today but those nasty comments did surprise me.  Thought I was liked.  HA!!!

    I slept good.  So I felt good today.

    I moved where the cats eat in the house.  And cats do not like things changed.  I was worried but when I got up in the middle of the night they had eaten.  Good.  I fed Daisy.  Nothing dead on the porch by her today.  Fed her before I left for the day.

    Today was a work day.  I found I can watch FIFA live on YouTube.  Very cool!!!  Kept me busy.  NO people came in until late..  Lots of people out walking but no interest in the gallery.  Eventually had 3 people come in.  Two local ladies & one guy who works in the gallery,  Really like him.  We had a nice visit.  New art show,  I like it a lot.  Two men & their art.  I shared a photo of each of their work.  Love it all!!!

    Got home after work & took a nice nap.  Too many memories.  Makes me really sad to remember.  Willie & I were always invited to a family get together.  Great BBQ food & desserts.  Family & friends & even a few who actually talked to me!  The. loudest fireworks ever!  But then Willie died.  And I never got invited again.  I know why but it still hurts.  I cried today.

    I bought some new crackers.  Not sure I can eat them.  Cheddar & jalapeno flavored.  Way too hot for me!!!!  I gave up.  Back in the box they went.  Sounded good!!!

    Fed Daisy & got a load of litter to bring in the house,  Will most likely feed her again.  My baby.  She wants to come in so bad.  How nice that would be.  Maybe when she is older.

    No storms forecast.  Lindsborg got some showers early today.  I got nothing as usual.  Now nothing for a few days..

7/2026 - Wedesday the 1st - MY JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Aron , Mirjam

I have known men called Aron or Aaron.  Had a step grandson name Aaron.  Years ago.  Known a woman or two named Mariam.

    Today did not go as planned.  I slept great but got up & got sick.  I was sickly yesterday also.  How much longer???  Getting so old.

    Cinder slept with me all morning.  That is not normal.  I woke up very early & she was next to me.  I never woke up.  After I called in sick, she was back next to me.  Very nice.  Before I went to sleep last night Kisse was curled up next to me.  Nice to feel loved.

    Had trouble with a member of Lindsborg Now harassing my grandson in private & then on my group.  I banned him.  What a jerk.  He posted nasty things to MM.

    Another warm day.  I saw 85F.  Might have gotten warmer.  A nice breeze.  No rain here.  Not seen the weather if any later.  Watched FIFA.  Saw England win!!  Awesome!!  Now the US on.

    Fed Daisy supper.  She sat on my lap a few times & purred.  What a sweetheart!!

    Lunch out tomorrow & maybe groceries.  Hope I am ok.  Can have quiche tomorrow for lunch!!  Yummy!!

This family is friends of Willie & I.  One summer everyone had really bad wheat.  This family was required to harvest what they had.  That tiny pile was it!!!  I had stopped to say hi & I took a photo of them & their total crop!!!  Funny & sad!!
