08/2025 - Lunes the 19th - JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Magnus, Måns

was sort of a friend with a Magnus & still know him as an adult.  My great grandmother's last name was Magnusdotter.  Meaning she was the daughter of Magnus.

    Slept ok last night.  Had plans for today.  Got a late start but then all went well.

    While MM got showered & dressed I got  smothered in love by his dog Gracie & Rolo a sweet dog he is babysitting.  They were just what I needed today.  They both were on me at the same time.  And once in a while Gracie would quietly growl reminding Rolo that I am HER grandma. Cute.  Rolo went home tonight.  Wonder if I can get visitation!!  Sweet dog!

    Then lunch was at the SaleBARn.  And we got a big surprise when we got there.  A great friend to both of us, AA, is working there.  Very cool.  And what a major hug I got from him.  Known him since he was in college here & the soccer team captain.  Lordy they need several like him.  Got 4 new team members this week.  Hope they help.  Have to find out his hours there so I can eat there then.  Great food.

    Then we went to the bank & then groceries for MM.  He was out of everything.  I got some monday night but I forgot things I needed.  No big deal.

    Sky looked quite stormy out but Lindsborg or my farm got nothing.  Other nearby places got heavy rains.

    We have cooler weather on the way.  Sunday the high will br 78F.  Heaven.  Friend CW who does not like hot weather. We had a long chat on the cool weather headed here next week.  Won't stay of course, but the break will be heaven.

    Could see that Jalisco's is busy working inside.  Hope it is going well. 

    I tried to take a short nap but it was just a rest.  Hope I sleep good tonight.

08/2025 - Lunes the 18th - JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Ellen, Lena

I had a cousin name Ellen Jewel, I have several cousins in Sweden named Lena.  Love that name.  Not pronounced Leenah.

    Today was a good day.  Other than the weather.  Hotter than hell today. When I drove to Lindsborg it was 100F.  Double ick.  After I got home tonight the humidity was deathly.  Where oh where is autumn????

    Had a nice nap with Cinder curled next to me the entire time purring the entire time.  Very nice.

    JR & I ate at Jalisco's for supper.  They are closed for at least a week.  Changing the carpet, cleaning the bricks, changing all the art work.  No idea about the tables & chairs.  They are not super old, but who knows.  They are from Mexico.  Very cool.  We sat near the front door.  I got a good photo of the entire inside.  Several people praised me for taking it & how good it will help show the new look.  All are excited,

    MM called while we were still in Jalisco's.  He was starving & wanted to order food from there if I could deliver.  Of course.  Will help him get groceries sometime in the next 2 days.

    JR & I got some groceries & ice cream bars for dessert.

    A hurricane is due to hit North Carolina & is a Category 4 storm.  And now there is no FEMA to help with cleanup & support.  Sad.  They are so screwed.  Very sad for the US.  😱

    There is a thunderstorm west of us now.  Hope we get some cooler air & rain.  I am in the processing of learning to paise wherever I go.  I praised that storm to the max on the way home.

    Today was a day of rest.  A private Jammie Day.

Needed it!!!

    Miserable weather.  Saw around 99F with a humidity of around 70%.  Not been out yet but I have mail to get off the porch.  Deadly outside.

    Little communication with anyone today.  Dealt with stupidity in Lindsborg Now.  Yesterday was a our yearly water event in the park.  Water spraying from fire trucks, pools of water, kids with water guns, free food for all.  Pictures were posted of all the fun.  Someone turned those photos in as spam.  I am sure they are someone against having fun & someone who wants to upset me.  Wish I could see their name.  I would ban them. Same as a well known liquor store in Marquette that is put in spam often.  Again to upset me & because they are anti liquor.  I have  routinely pointed out this is a real business but have given up.  Given up on stupid people.  I assume most of them wear red hats.  Lindsborg Now has its fair share of them.  Too many.  To be expected in a group of over 8000 members.

    Forgot to clean the litter boxes this morning so I have no sound on since the cats are both asleep.  Guess I will go scoop poop & get the mail.
