Today's Name Day:  Estelle, Stella

Friends with a Stella now.  Cool lady!!

    Had a good day.  Slept so-so.  But did not feel too tired.

    Had lunch with LL at the White Peacock.  Quiet in there today.  Good to see her & chat.   And at work too.  And fun to see my artist friend MH.

    Made great steps forward with my photos.  Today I did many baby photos.  Did not like them.  Some were ok,  Some had names.  Some did not.  Several were sweet & cute!!  Almost done with these.  Good.

    I took myself out for supper.  Nice to sit & relax. Didn't have to try to visit or anything.  I was just relaxed.

    MA & his wife did sit with me to visit about something.  I did enjoy their company.  MA does chat with me often, but tonight it was something special.

    The weather today was the absolute worst.  Not the hottest but the humidity was a killer.  Hard to breathe outside or walk.  I hate summer with every fibre of my body!

    I just called JS.  Great to see him & visit.  Wish we could see each other.  I do not want them to travel but wish I could.  Ha.ve no one to help me travel.  Those fun days are over for me.  I hate seeing photos of all these people here who have a spouse or friends & they do fun things and/or travel.  Not me.  Thank god for video calls.

    I had no idea I would live long enough that there would so few who care to help me in any way.  I have given up asking for anything.  I know who helps if I ask.  And those who make sure they never offer.  One friend offered to do something & we are not related.  A total surprise.  Don't get me started on family. 

    Day of rest tomorrow.  Will enjoy.  Photos are a couple of cigars & whiskey, flowers, & autumn.  There was a photo I saw somewhere with a cigar & whiskey.  I liked it so found some to post.

Forgot this yesterday.

Today's Name Day:  Roland

I have know at least 1 Roland.

    Today was a much better day.  Always in pain but today I can walk slowly but standing upright.  Slower than usual.

    I sort of felt abandoned yesterday & thursday.  Last night I had a late night chat with a friend who asked how I was feeling and said he would pray for me.  Very nice.  He was tired after working I am sure.  Nice way to end my day.

    I worked at the SVAFC.  I was sort of steady busy.  A friend from Hays who collects art came in.  Nice to see him.  Pretty rare.  He works & so do I.

    Then the artist at the Red Barn came in.  We are good friends.  Oh, if he just lived closer!!!  We went out to supper together & had a great visit.  We usually eat out every monday noons while he is here.  I must go see his art.

    We are in a severe weather watch.  In one breathe they show the storm watch map & we are in it.  Then in the next breath they say the storms will stay north of I70.  Which is it.  From my least favorite weather person.  She is just stupid.

    My weather radio has been quiet so I checked on it.  Unplugged. Had to reset the time & the area of Kansas I live in,  Gotta find new batteries for it in case we lose electricity. 

    Weather today sucked. I saw 100F here with bad humidity.  Glad I was inside.

08/2025 - Miércoles the 06th- JOURNEY

Known several ladies named Inez

    Had a good day.  Part of it was the best ever!!

    My oldest 2 great grandsons came home last night.  MM can't quit hugging them.  And all 3 are smiling.

    I stopped at MM's this noon.  They all came to greet me.  And inside Gracie my grandpuppy came running also.  I sure needed to see them all.  Lots of hugs.  Here is Junior, Atlas, & Grandma.

    After my visit it was work at the Old Mill.  But it was a lonely day.  Lots of visitors so AP was upstairs most of the time.  We are 2 short in our staff.  I am no help at all. I only do my photos & nothing else.  But I did turn on some political programs & listen without bothering anyone.  I even did some exercises.  I was hoping that AP did not return to his desk to see my arms flailing about & think I was having a seizure!!!  💃

    I started a new batch of photos..  Several folders all hooked to each other.  I am doing each one separately with unique names.  Most photos are borderline boring.

    Supper was Mexican.  They were not too busy.  I had flautas.  Very good.  Dessert was the Barnyard Creamery.  I got a small soft serve with caramel sauce.  Perfect.

    I had changed what purse I used but lordy it was far too heavy.  Probably since it was leather.  Came home & changed to a lighter purse.  Feels much better.

    My one purse that is burlap is laying on my sofa.  Kisse has commandered it as her new nest.  Plus it is next to me.

07/2025 - Miércoles the 23th- JOURNEY

Today's Name Day:  Emma, Emmy

I have know several Emmas or Emmys

    Had a better day.  Not less pain.  I am just handling it better.  No one understands.  I always hurt.  Whether I look or act like it or admit it.  If anyone can help me in any way I am always grateful.  But most people just do not care how I feel.

    I met MM at the Öl Stuga for a half hour or so.  And to see CW, a good friend.  He owed me a hug!!!  I collected it!! He is a nice friend.  I appreciate him.  And good to see MM.  He always hugs me a lot & cares.  And offers help whenever he is able.

    Weather was unbearable.  High was low 90s.  But felt much worse.  The air was so heavy.  It was a blessing to work in the basement.

    We have a slight chance of showers tonight & tomorrow.  And a little cooler.  But heat over the weekend.

    When I was leaving the Stuga I heard someone calling my name.  It was a friend I have not seen in ages.  We had a nice visit.  I miss her friendship.  But she has many other friends that I am not part of.  

    Worked at the Old Mill.  Finished the batch of photos I was working on.  Started on the last half of this bunch.  These are worse then the first half.  Sheesh.

    I posted the photo of men all with the same first name.  One man was unknown.  Put it on Lindsborg Nostalgia.  Got a name almost right away.  Turned out not to be a local man.  He worked at a radio station.  Many knew him though.  Fun photo.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  MA had photos of a local guy who went on vacation to Mexico & got to visit someone who used to work at Jalisco's but is now home there.  What fun photos to see!!

    MM is back to working some.  I am glad for him.  He has 2 really good & supportive friends he works with.  I am grateful to them for all their help & support.

    Going anywhere is now a struggle.  Cannot get to Assaria.  A bridge is out over the interstate.  Replacing it won't be done until november.  Driving to Lindsborg is closed for 10 days.  Had to take back roads.  Trying to go from Lindsborg to McPherson that highway is closed for 10 days also.  Only way to get here is interstate.  Sheesh.  What a pain.

    My glucose sensor ended this afternoon.  After supper I added a new one at home.  Hope my new supply gets here soon.

    Tomorrow is lunch out with 3 friends.  If we have rain tonight what back road will not be too muddy drive on.  Sheesh.  Maybe forget lunch.  Have my eye dr appt.  I can get there on paved roads.
