5/2026 - Thursday the 21th - MY JOURNEY

Retired on the same day as Colbert, but a different year.

Today's Name Day: Konstantin , Conny

Today was a great day. Slept good with my kids nearby & Daisy waiting for breakfast. And a cuddle.

I had an appointment to get my oil changed in my car in Assaria KS. When I got inside a gentleman invited me to sit with him. He is my mechanic's father. What a cool guy!! We had a great conversation about a variety of things. And I now have a new requirement for my car getting worked on ---- his father must be part of the job!!! He made my day. MM lived in Assaria as a kid. They remember each other.

We had rain overnight. And very cool temps. Loved it. Maybe rain the next 2 days & rain now added to saturday. May be too wet to decorate graves on sunday. Wait until next week.

Came home for a short nap. When I woke up Cinder came to lay on me while I am trying to blog. And rubbing noses.

Sad sad day today. Colbert ends his show. What, oh what, will I do without him? CBS is an idiot & ruled by outside idiots. I rarely watch any network shows. I watch 2 week night shows & 2 soaps. Unfortunately they all are on CBS. I will never praise them again.

I totally screwed up my blog yesterday. Took me forever to figure out how to fix it. So frustrating.

Communication is extra quiet today. I miss family & friends. And it hurts to be ignored. Got an email from JL & she may quit being online. It is ok. I am used to losing people I enjoy.

Last night they asked Stephen Colbert the questions of his questionaire. A different star asked eached question. This is a photo of them all.

06/2025 - Martes the 24th- JOURNEY

Today's Name Day: (no name today)

Had a good day today. Slept good with little pain. Started the day after lunch with getting my oil changed in my car. Did not take long. The guy who does it for me is super nice. Nice to see him.

Where I got my oil changed is in Assaria. They have 2 booths to sit in. The other booth had two men & one young boy. They were all friendly & talkative. When I am a similar situation in town here, no one says hello or talks. I am always ignored. I know no one in Assaria. But those I am around are always friendly. Amazing. Rarely in my hometown.

I tried to take a short nap but just rested. Then I needed to get to the bank & the gas station. It started pouring down very hard. Then I drove out of it. Then soon it poured down again. Finally I was out of it. I was scared I would be standing out in the rain. But I was all dry. Had business before supper.

For all the time we have had rain, we only got 0.53". How sad. Other places get inches. Not here.

Supper was Mexican. MM came to eat with us. Before he arrived ZR from the Stuga came in so we had a nice visit. Good to see MM. Today he is doing ok. I am lucky to feel loved today. Hugs from M & Z. Nice. They & CW always make my day.

Home to blog. And do my spanish lesson. Catch up on my soap operas.
