    Today was an ok day.  I slept good with no texts until tonight.  JR texted about his day yesterday.

    Weather was good today.  Stayed cool outside.  Some breezes.  Storms to the west but not here.  Maybe we are getting a break.

    I was going to run an errand today but did not feel like it.  Too bad!!  Can do it tomorrow.  Took a nap instead.

Old old post card from Lindsborg.  John Levin owned a store in town.  I think I have all the sets of coins for it.

National Noodle Day

Today's Name Day: Jennifer, Jenny

    Had a great day!!  Not too stressful or busy.  An easy pace.  I slept fair with Cinder close now & then.  I was going to get my flu shot but just no time.  I can go to the local pharmacy. Can get the flu shot and the Covid shot.  Take JR with to get his Covid shot.

    Had a text this morning from a very caring & sweet friend that said she had made the Swedish cinnamon buns & had a couple to give to me.  What a great surprise.  I picked them up when I got to town.  What a very generous thing to do.  💗

    Went to the SVAFC for my favorite artist, MH, show his art & his talk about it..  Had a large crowd.  His last show had a small crowd as it was freezing with snow.  Great weather today.  They had snacks in the back but I had none.  Would rather have supper.  He was kind enough to make sure everyone knows that JR has a showing of his photos in February.  JR is so busy getting ready.  Wants to have his photos done the end of December.  I am getting excited thinking about it!

    We went to the cemetery to fix Willie's grave after it was vandalized again.  They took his flowers & threw them away & left tiny bouquet on MY side of the headstone.  I am NOT dead & need no flowers yet. Their way to say they wish I was dead???? When I saw that I moved the tiny bouquet to Willie.  So today I went to see if anything thing else done his grave.  I removed the tiny bouquet replaced it with some beautiful flowers I had in the trunk of my car.  Looks better.

I also noticed that my close friend John's flowers were all gone.  Wind or my kids??  Will replace. soon.  Need to go back to where I got the headstone for the things to put in the vases.  Will get extras.

    Went up on Coronado Heights.  There was a huge group of people that were hiking on the trails.  And lots of cars.  Yesterday in Lindsborg there was a running race up the hill and back.  Had a friend who ran & did pretty good..  Today was a bike race or ride.  Many, many bikes in town.  Saw them all take off!  No photo.  Not where I could take some.  Glad we had nice weather.

    Supper was at Pizza Hut.  Then went to the Barnyard Creamery for soft serve ice cream with hot fudge sauce.  I am addicted!!

    Tried to have a short nap but did not happen.  Finish this & do my spanish.  Photos are autumn ones.

Preparing for Memorial Day

Today's Name Day: Ivan, Vanja

    No real blog.  Long day.  Decorated graves in 2 cemeteries.  I might go to one here tomorrow.  Plus a long, long time on Coronado Heights taking photos of flowers, yuccas, etc.  I bought many, many silk flowers.  And I needed them.  Found many of our family graves with no one to put on flowers them.  It is up to JR & I.  When we are gone there will be no one who will or can or care.  We ended the day in Pizza Hut.  I am exhausted.

Grave of a sweet lady I took care of in a nursing home in the 1970s.  Just found her grave.  And I cried.  Loved her.

My parents.  Dad was a tail gunner in WWII so he gets a flag.

My mom was a twin.  Her sister was born before midnight, Mom after midnight.  Different dates.  Her sister was born dead.  This is her grave.  Mom's brother promised to put a stone on it but never did.  I did it.

National Amaretto Day

Today's Name Day: Ola, Olaus

    What a busy, busy day!!!
    Day did not start well.  Time to eat lunch & needed more insulin.  None is the fridge!!!  I looked high & low!!!  None to find.  I called for a new box to get before they close this afternoon.  AFTER I called I found my old box on the kitchen floor by the fridge.  It fell out.  But how long was it there???  Decided to get the new box to be safe.

    It was cold out so Cinder was in & out twice.  Came in as I was leaving.  Smart cat.

    Had my hair app't to cut, color, & style.  Long app't.  But nice to be pampered!!!

    After hair, I rushed home to see if Cinder wanted out.  No one in the house moved.  But I had forgotten to empty the kitty litter from the night so needed to be there.  Then I scooted off to town to get my insulin.  Almost was too late!!!  

    Then picked up pizzas & went to LL's house for supper.  Ahhh.  Time to relax & chat!!  Very nice.  Good conversation.  We solved several problems in not only our world but the world in general.  Now if people would just listen.  😃

    I called JR to see if he wanted my last 3 pieces of pizza & he did so I delivered on the way home.

    MM was bartending at the Legion tonight.  If I  was not so tired I would have stopped in for a drink,  Next week maybe.

    When I got home Cinder ran outside.  Get her in here soon.  She slept with me all night last night.  Much less pain with no fronts arriving here for a few days.  Middle of next week changes come.  This weekend is quite cool.  Good.  Keep the heat away as long as possible!

    Busy again tomorrow.
