    Today was a good day.  I slept pretty good.

    I had a message from KN.  My front door ---- screen door ---- has been broken since one of our high wind storms.  But two days ago I could not keep it closed for anything.  I asked KN to come look at it to see if it was fixable. He fixed it except it needs a latch.  Will do that tomorrow.  I am so relieved.

    While eating lunch I spilled part of my juice in my lap.  Had to change clothes.  Dang.  What a clutch.

    Work was good.  But no one will help me with the error my scanner keeps making.  LL came home from her trip with a cold.  She stayed away from me so we did not get to talk.  I have a nose spray I use when ever I am not home.  It is good for 9 hours of killing germs, viruses, etc.  I think it helps.

    I finished a large box of photos.  And started a new huge box of more photos.  I am almost done with the first bunch.  Only 2 tiny photos left.

    Supper was at Jalisco's.  As I left for home there was a huge rain cloud to the west.  Nothing here yet.  Dang.  Last chance for rain for at least 10 day.  Days of warnings for heat start this weekend.  Ick.  I hate summer.  I have a doctor's appointment on monday in Hutchinson.  I do not want to drive alone on the hottest day of the year.  Will change.  My safety is more important.

    I was so tired and tried to nap when I got home..  Failed.  But my laptop is working propertly.  For a change.

    Cinder came to find me when I got home.  I fed Daisy.  She gets fed one more time.  Not seen Kisse yet.  But I have not walked down the hall yet.

02 february, 2023 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    I had a good & busy day.  All good stuff.  I slept good & that was nice.  Not much pain overnight.

    I started the day in Assaria getting the oil changed in my car.  I had cancelled it 3 or 4 times.  Nice to get that done.

    Then KN changed my front door handle for a new one.  What a blessing!!  Easy to open & close & lock.  The screen door is a lost cause.  Probably have to remove it sometime.  There is no replacement for it anymore.

    After my door fixed KN bladed my drive way & filled a hole that washed out with a heavy rain last summer.  Nice driving now!

    JR & I went to Jalisco's for supper.  It was literally dead in there.  Few customers.  Nice to see everyone though.

    Just talked to JS & his friend made it here out of state.  Tomorrow they pack everything up in the truck.  Hopefully I get to eat supper with them.  Then they leave on saturday.  I do not want to cry.  This is a happy time for them.  I can cry alone.

    Working on genealogy earlier.  Found lots of info on my cousin who was a pilot & crashed & died in Vietnam.  Makes me so sad.  Only 24.  And a newly wed.  What a wasted life.  He would have had a good life.  We should not have been there.

    Nico has his schedule of when we eat, treat, & go to bed.  Now Cinder is doing the same for bed time.

    Early today Nico was out to potty.  There was a kitty under the car.  It constantly meowed.  Sounded really young.  I cannot afford to feed another cat.  OMG!!

05 august, 2022 Wandering

    Today was a great day!!!!  Took my car to Assaria & had the new part installed.  It feels odd to go the speed limit!!  Instead of creeping to save fuel.  It did not take very long & did not cost very much.  I had some animal poo on my hood & I asked if he could wash it off.  I guess he got lots of jokes!!!  Gives them something to talk about!!

    I managed time for a short nap.  Sleep was elusive last night.  I finally gave up & moved to the sofa.  Then I slept.

    JR, PM, & I had supper at Jalisco's.  I treated myself to carne asada. (steak)  It was awesome tonight!!  Been a year or two since I ordered it.  Business was steady.  JS had a moment of totally getting to me!  He was still laughing when I left.  He is good for my soul.

    Last night JS called me to check to make sure I am ok  How nice that was.  Nice to have someone who cares to check.  I told him so.

03 august, 2022 Wandering

    A good day.  Little pain overnight.  I use frankincense essential oil & it works good at pain relief.  But it is about gone.  So today I tried Palo Santo essential oil.  Works pretty good.  I was ok eating out & walking in & out.

    It got hot for a short time this morning then cooled off.  I saw 97F around noon.  Then clouds cooled it off.

    JR, PM, & I met for supper at Jalisco's.  Nothing beats seeing CT & his big smile when he sees me.  He makes my entire week.  Sweet guy!!  Not real busy tonight there.

    In the kitchen you can hear CT sort of yelling "hay" often.  No idea why.  MA told me to go back in the kitchen & do it to him also.  CT did not see me but he never missed a beat!! Laughing all the way!  I said "adios".  He asked "cuando" & I answered "viernes".  I should go more often just to see him!!

    JS was in a good mood.  I even got a hug.  Saw friends there & found out one of them has Parkinsons.  I am so sad.  So far so good.  At least she goes to a specialist.  A relative has it.  When she found out we all told her to go to a specialist.  She refused.  She is very ill now.  So sad.

    I called my mechanic.  And my car part is here!!!!  I have a hair appointment tomorrow so we meet on friday at 1pm.  Yay!!!  I can drive where ever I want after that!!  What a relief!!!

    Nico likes when I have a soft taco & share.  I ordered him one today.  Will make it for 2 meals.  Nothing bad in it.  Tortilla, meat, & maybe some cheese.

    I got brave & ordered a different dog food.  No one is excited about the one I get now.  So far it is getting eaten.  Healthily made.  Try it once at least.

    I signed up for Netflix again.  My friend/cousin ND told me about a show she likes so I watched an episode last night.  I do like it.

    I think there was a rain shower in town while we ate.  And maybe here at home too.  Did not amount to anything much.

20 july, 2022 Wandering

    An ok day.  Slept well.  Have figured out something that almost always works.  Hope it keeps on working.  And I seem to have much less pain.  That won't last I am sure.  The meds my RA specialist have ordered are working.  I am grateful. 

    My car is having troubles.  When I fill it with fuel is does not want to start.  The last time I was actually scared!!  Saw my mechanic in Assaria.  He took notes about my engine, etc.  He will get a part ordered.  And he said that if I need to get more fuel to come to him & he will do it.  I do have a back up car in case of the worst case scenario.

    I really like my mechanic.  He is one person that just by saying hi to him I feel better.  He is always cheerful & helpful.  And he jokes.  Wish I saw him more often.

    Then off to Lindsborg to pick up meds.  Do they draw weekly or daily to see what the price is?  I swear I never pay the same price every time.  Odd.  Seems like never lower.  Of course.

    JR & PM ate at Jalisco's.  Fairly busy.  I only knew 1 person that came in. JS was ornery as usual.  Always makes me feel good!  CT came out of the kitchen to greet me.  Good to be there.  PM & I talked about things from our high school days.  Fun to remember.

    Cinder was gone all afternoon but here now.  Sweetie.  Nico is being obnoxious.  His usual evenings.

    Cooler today if you think 99F is cool.  But the humidity is low.  Next 5 days are way over 100F.  Yay.
