09 september, 2022 Wandering & Capturing Moments

    Well, got the date wrong yesterday.  Well, duh!!

    I added a bit to the name of my blog.

    Good day in the day but last night was not good.  I went to bed & all was well until I decided to turn over.  My hip hurt more than usual &  I could barely move.  What brought that on?  I hurt all night but today have been ok.

    Went to town early to get to the bank before it closed.  Then JR & I went to eat early since there was to be lots of activity on Main Street.  It was not too busy by the time we left.  JR stayed on Main Street to take photos of the musicians & art.

    There is a cloud to the west.  Rain?  There is a small storm west of here.  May not get here.  I am not hopeful yet.

    Our weather was ok.  Our temps were 67F & 96F.  Did not feel too bad outside.  Cinder here all day.  Nice to get a little love when I went out.  And she & Nico have a sweet love relationship.  He checks on her before anything else.  Sweet.

    Last night my friend from NY called.  We had a nice visit.  I miss her.  I found out there is a train that goes near her & 3 hotels.  Road trip??  That would be fun if we can work it out.

    The sunflowers are just exploding everywhere here!  Fun to drive to town.  I need to take some back roads with my camera.

13 august, 2022 Wandering

     Today I worked from 1-5pm.  Pretty slow.  One lady came in to pick up some stuff.  Found out we were in school together.  I sort of remembered her.  She was a year behind me but I recognised her name.  We had a nice visit.

    Then another lady came in. She said she used to come to Lindsborg to see her grandparents.  I had to ask their names & not only did I know them my husband's uncle married their daughter!!  She sat down & we had a great visit.  And we got everyone figured out.

    When I was little & Dad was a mechanic, there were days he had to drive to Salina for parts, at Lamb's I think  This lady's grandfather always went with us & we would drop him off in at his daughter's so he could see his grandson.  Many years later when I found out that Willie's uncle married that daughter.  And I met the grandson again!  A small world.

    I loved work &  getting to visit with the artist MH.  I am buying his book tomorrow.  I read part of it today.

    I am very lucky my job does not include having to walk, etc.  I would have had to go home.  Actually I would have had to stay home.  But I no longer talk about me.  I am sure I have upset more than one person.  My life, my decisions.
