Today's Name Day:  Allan, Glenn

Glenn is a special name of a long time friend to Willie & I.  Know several Allans.

    Had a good day but too hot.  Luckily no wind.  Weather right now is severe warnings and thunder has started.  Not wide spread but here.  There are 2-3 other areas not near here.

    Had a hair appointment today.  Love being pampered.  Had a cut, color, & style.  Most other stylists are maga supporters.  So my stylists & I cannot talk.  No need to start a fight.  And we listen to their conversations that are less than intelligent.  Sad.  But they are all Catholic so no bad comments about the Pope.

    I took a nap when I got home.  Tired.  Woke up with major shaking & heavy sweating.  Had very low blood sugar.  Quickly took a couple of glucose pills & fixed supper.  Feel better.  Not been that low in a long time. Scary.  Lucky I woke up.

    Yikes!!! It is hailing here.  From dime size to quarter size.  Very loud!!! Storm warning until after 10pm.  Now strong winds.  Photo of MM's hand & hail. Same as mine here.

    Done for now.  More tomorrow from the Old Mill.  Want lots of flower photos from there unless the hail did then in.

Today's Name Day:  Jens, Jonas

    Had a good day! Finally amongst the living today..  Slept good & went to work.  Cats were lazy again.  Cinder laid next to me or on me all night.

    Great to see my co-workers today.  Just one is off today.  See him next wednesday.  LL & I caught up on news & gossip!!  And I worked on photos.

    The photos I am doing now are just photos of businesses in 2001.  We have a book of businesses that go building to building from 2001 & back as far as they could.  A great book to have.  I had a dress shop in my mind today but could not remember what it was called..  But I found it.  Called the Style Shop.  I knew about where it was located.  I have 5 envelopes of photos to do.  2002, Christmas, Midsummers, etc.  There are no people in any of them.  Just buildings.  It is cool to see places that are torn down now.  Sad to see what we have lost.  Why must people tear things down instead of using buildings that are there..

    Driving home was a challenge.  Very strong winds.  Hard to steer & drive.  And I just remembered I left a box that came in the mail outside.  I hate to go outside in the dark, even with the porch light on.  But rain is coming so I will get it later.

    No cattle were here when I got home.  But just before dark I saw the llamas out my window.  Too chilly & too dark to go take a photo.  Maybe tomorrow.

    Finally Saturday Night Live is new.  Tired of reruns.  And tired of sports.

    Supper tonight was a Jalisco's burrito.  Nice to lounge on my sofa to eat one!! And Cinder cleaned up my plate of meat crumbs.

    All photos today were taken today.  Will explain some if needed.  Probably sharing too many.  But I enjoyed taking photos.

Smoky Hill Cemetery. Had 3 graves to check to make sure flowers, etc. are ok.  On Willie's grave only his beer can is moved.  Has been worse.

Carl Aaron Swensson statue, started our Bethany College.  The door is the front door of Presser Hall -- concert hall & offices.  Check the bust in the window.  Cool.

Blooms in Lindsborg.  Everyone wants the trees with white flowers gone.  They will crowd out native plants but they are beautiful.  Bradford Pear trees.  I have a pear tree here by my house.  Not a Bradford.  It blooms later than them.

002/2025 Tisdag the 18th - Wandering & Capturing Moments

Today's Name Day:  Frida

I know someone named Frida.  She was a couple of grades older than me.  Her sister was a year younger than me.  Only Frida I have known.

    Very quiet day.  Slept good.  Too cozy to want to get up!!  Temp was below zero all night.  The high today was 3F.  Wind this afternoon was blowing the snow around.  Drifts in my front yard.  We had 4" of snow.  Not a lot.  Heard the roads are ok but just far too cold to get out.  I am home until friday.  Then hopefully I can go to work.  A bit warmer.

    I called my nephew this afternoon.  And he was in my front yard watering the bulls.  I had him go get my mail.  Again they dumped some on the ground.  Will call tomorrow.  That is not acceptible to have my mail sit in the snow/mud.  Lazy people.  I was out on the porch to take my mail from him.  Dang cold.  It was zero then.  And in the wind it is horrible.  He will get tomorrow's mail also.  Probably get my own on thursday.

    So nice to see my nephew & get to visit with him.  His wife posted a photo of a poor baby calf born in the snow.  It looked dead BUT the mom took good care of it & both are ok today!!!  Great news!!!

    One of my packages was some cookies I ordered.  I used to order these often & then forgot them.  Too good.

    Watching a video about the airplane that flipped on its top.  And how they all got off with some help.  And trying to decided why it may have happened.  I think I am glad I don't fly anymore.  At least for the next 3-4 years.  Things were good until just recently.  🟧. Safe no longer for anyone.

    Texted with LL & MM.  That is it.  Quiet day.  I had trash I should have had outside.  Trash truck did make it.  But too cold last night.  It can wait until the weekend.

    My other grandson was supposed to communicate more.  He was the one who started ignoring me first.  He & his girlfriend rarely comment or like anything I post.  They live for bloody monster things that I would never post nor like.  Probably the fault of drugs.

    Our temp is falling now.  Down to -1F.  Nice.
