Glad August is over.

Today's Name Day:  Arvid, Vidar

I remember a funeral director years ago named Arvid.

    Had a good day.  Felt ok.  Good to be around people.  Slept good.  Rained.  Lindborg got almost an inch & a half.  I got .38".  Always get nothing compared to others around here.

    I made it to work at the SVAFC.  The daughter of our artist gave a talk about her father & his art.  She did great.  She even remembered my name.  Had a good size audience.  Then there were snacks in the back room.  I never went back there.  My blood sugar was too high so did not need to eat.  I sat alone with my thoughts.  Several women friends did come visit for a bit.  People I rarely see.  Nice.

    After everyone had left there was my boss, the artist's daughter & another friend.  My boss got a bottle of white wine so I had a glass of wine with her.  It tasted good.  I really do not have friends that we just go out for a cocktail or two & conversation.  I really enjoyed that time.  Very nice.

    Then JR & I had supper at Pizza Hut.  I had my sallad.  Very good.  Then went for ice cream for dessert.

    I got to meet the lady who worked for me yesterday.  She is super nice.  Glad we are friends.

    I am glad for two days off.  Will help me to feel better.

08/2025 - Miércoles the 027th- JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Raoul, Rolf

    Had a good day.  Slept fair.  Less low blood sugar.  Lowered my insulin one unit today.  See if that helps.

    Started raining this morning.  I had an umbrella in the car.  Never got closed so when I tried to grab on to it it got stuck.  I had to walk around the car to get it but then the door would not unlock.  As I turned to walk back around my foot go caught on a branch &  almost fell.  Scared me really bad.  If the umbrella had been put away the right way it would not have happened.  Damn.

    I was late getting to work.  And stressed.

    RA ruled today.  Had a new pain never had before.  😱. Walking was a challenge.

    Made great strides on my photos.  I sent two photos to people they were taken of.  Heard from one of them.  Fun.  It used to be a "thing" that when you traveled you took a copy of the local newspaper & then took a photo of you reading it on vacation.  That is what all these photos are of.  People, places, newspapers.  It is not done anymore.

    Supper was at the Sale BARn.  I had shrimp again.  Very good but too many fries.  Dessert was ice cream.  I will hate when they close for winter again.  But now the drive through is open maybe they could stay open some.  Hamburgers are good & so is the ice cream.

    Jalisco's is now ready to open tomorrow.  Tables & chairs were moved in today.  I won't make it there until friday.  I am anxious!!

08/2025 - Miércoles the 20th- JOURNEY

 

Today's Name Day:  Bernhard, Bernt

    Had a good day.  Slept extra long since I went to bed early.  Tired.

    Today was a good work day.  I needed another 30 minutes to finish the photos I am working on.  They will wait until saturday.  Tired of them.

    AP had the most interesting phone call about some Old Mill stuff.  I had so much fun listening.  Super interesting things to come.  What a fun time to just listen.  And dream.  Cannot share anything else.

    Better weather today.  Little cooler, little less humidity.  Helped.

    Supper was at the Öl Stuga.  They were not busy.  CW had just finished working but was staying for a drink.  Great to see him.  And get a super hug.  The cook was J.  I knew him but not his name.  Our waitress was M.  I also knew her but not her name.  She also has called me Grandma!!  We chatted off & on.  She is fun.  I had their cheese burger with no chips & ate it with a knife & fork.  Also had my  spiced rum & coke.  Excellent.

    Dessert was my soft serve ice cream at the Barnyard creamery.  Yummy.

    Home with my cats.  Earlier than usual.

Expedition X is starting a new season.  Wow.  Not a rerun tonight.  They are in Ireland at an old old prison.  Scary place.  Scary show.

    Still focusing on blessing to things I go to.  One moment of anger & cussing.  Anger at me.  I get frustrated at things I cannot do easily anymore.  I am also trying to exercise some daily.  I have several I can do at work when LL is upstairs.  AP cannot see me.  I stay quiet.

    Many photos tonight are wintry due to all our heat.  It is getting cooler but won't last.  😞  Also some mixed ones.

This statue sat on a front porch for years.  Now is gone for a couple of years.  I know nothing about him.  Glad I got his photo.
