    Had a good & fun day.   Slept ok last night.   Got to sleep late but then had to hustle after I ate lunch..

    Picked up JR & we were off to the Red Barn Museum for a meeting with the 2 friends who run it.   We are planning a showing of  JR's photos in 2025.   It will be fun!!   So we discussed things about it.   So things are starting.   A fun afternoon..

    Last night I saved the Rockefeller special on tv.   Watching it now.   It is really good.   Enjoying the music & stars..

    Not as cold last night,   I even got too warm inside my house.   Will be colder tonight & rain is on the way here soon.   Maybe a little snow.   Great.   I have an early appointment & worry about the drive to town,   Just my luck.

    Photos today are ones I took at the Red Barn.   Might have enough for 2 days.   I will see.

National Lemon Cream Pie Day

Name Day is June

    Last night was a good night.  Cinder slept near me most of the night.   Every time Nico went out he jumped back on the bed when in.   He even slept under my blanket at least once!

    It was fairly cold overnite.   I had trouble getting comfy,   Body aches.   But it could have been worse.

    I was up sort of early,   Work day today.   Fun to see the Old Mill Museum with snow.   They started some doing some Christmas decorating.   Looking good!   I miss having decorations.   But just for me there is no point.   And the fur kids would damage them all.   But wish I could have my large star on the front of my house.   But that ended when our son refused to hang it because he had his own house & family & would not do anything for me anymore.   Nice.   I can guarantee if Mom had asked for a star on her front porch, I would have found a way to make that happen.   But then I cared about her.   Big difference.

    Had a good work day.   Working on photos of the Swedish Pavilion.   Great building.   There are some super old photos with  people, etc.   Why did someone not write down the names?   Enjoyed the company of my coworkers.   They are super!  We laughed & commiserated!

    JR & I had supper at Jalisco's.   Good food & a chance to chat with the boss!!   But dessert was at Indigo Moo'd.   They had the ice cream I have wanted but it has nuts in it.   Do not like that.   I got my peppermint again.   Love it!

    Ready to watch the Christmas special from Graceland,  Elvis Presley's home.   I made sure I had it set to tape.   Truly special.

National French Toast Day

    Today was mostly a good day.   I even got a nap.   Very nice.   Even Nico napped.   He was in bed for a while too.

    I ordered groceries for after lunch.   Then to carry it all in & put it away.   I enjoyed driving to Salina & seeing the fields white with snow,   Hope it is not the last of the snow.

    I had an appointment in Wichita but cancelled it yesterday.   They had more snow than we did.   And they had ice & we had none.   Last night the weatherman said they had a little thawing yesterday.   There would be more today but in late afternoon.   Means there was still icy streets.   Glad to stay home.   Not an important X-ray.   Better to cancel than be nervous driving in the city.

    Got really cold last night again but in the 40s today.   It was sunny today but no sparkling pond.   It is frozen.   Probably not safe to walk on though.

    I actually got a large load of laundry done.   Put it off long enough.   When it is all dry I can do another.   I hang my laundry inside to dry.   No clothes line. l  And just rarely use my dryer.   Mom had a clothes line that I could have had out here but no one would put it in my yard.   Willie refused & so did our son.

    I got called to work a couple of hours at the Red Barn Museum, my old stomping ground.   I just remind people to sign our guest book.   Will be fun to be around lots of people.   I was a docent there for several years.   I worked until I had knee surgery.   And then my RA got worse.

    Did sit outside for a bit with Nico & Cinder.   Have a breeze that is a bit chilly.   But nice to watch them together.

National Bavarian Cream Pie Day

Name Day is Astrid

    I had a busy day.  Slept fair & never took a nap.  Decided I had no time.

    Had all 3 kids in bed when I got up in the morning.   Nice when they can get along.   Even the cats are better with each other.

    I need to go to Dillon's again.  But will go tomorrow or later.

    I had trash to take out today.  Three large bags in the back of the house & 4 in the kitchen.   They did not weigh much, just to throw them out.   And my large collection of boxes from Amazon,   I gathered them up & stacked between my trash bins.   I sorted them the other day so all I had to do is move them,   Not very far.

    I was ready for supper when it was time.  JR & I ate at Jalisco's.   Something new there.   They are serving beer now.   Wish they had margaritas.   Maybe canned ones is possible

    Only saw ice one the roads in town at a stop sign or two.   Glad I never had to drive on ice.   I did that enough when I worked in Salina.

International Cake Day

Name Day is Torkel

    Was an ok day.  Slept ok but Nico was up too often,   Cinder went out early & did not see her until morning.   Must have slept under the house.

    I have been depressed today.   I cancelled the day.   Did not have it in me to go anywhere,   Today is a day from 5 years ago when my life completely changed,   More than I could have imagined..   I have not told anyone & I an sure no one will remember,   I would be surprised if anyone did

    Tried to take a nap but did not happen,   Think I slept for maybe an hour,   Then I gave up.   I finally went to shampoo my hair & style it,   I have it down to a fine art.   Does not take me long.   But ready for the week.   I know I need groceries.   Something I wanted they were out of last time.

    I took a few more snow photos today.   Not many.   Last night I saw 14 for a low.   Really cold.   Good thing there is no wind.l  Today it got in the upper 30s.   But my thermometer said 10 degrees higher.   Odd.   Maybe a reflection off my house to it.   With the bright sunshine there was melting.   I could see at least 6-8 inches of snow on my car.   I like seeing the snow pile up on the tree limbs.   And I love seeing animal tracks in the snow,   Cinder had been in all night,   Usually when I let her out in the morning she races out.   Yesterday she started to do that & then saw the snow & screeched to a stop!!

    Wish I had went out to eat but after crying for a bit I was not up to it,   Just too sad & depressed.

International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women!

Name Day is Katarina

    It was very cold last night & woke up to snow around 7am.   It was a beautiful snow.   Heavy, large flakes with no wind at all.   I love it.!

    I did not sleep good.   Achy legs & just not feeling sleepy.   Nico slept a bit better than me.

    We did get a nice nap.   All sleeping near each other.  Photo follows.

    Outside several times.   Usually with Nico but once with just me & my iPhone.   Love taking snow photos.   Wish it would last longer.

    Really no communication today.   I guess everyone is busy with family stuff.

    Stayed cold today.   Our hight was 29.   So glad there is no wind!!
