12/2025 - Lunes the 29th - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day: David, Able

Willie's best friend was David. I never see him. Had a friend whose last name was Able.

Not a bad day. Ignored by the usual people. No surprise. Have emailed JL several times. Cancelled supper with a short message from JR. Not much else. Some texting with a Mexican friend since it is her daughter's birthday. Sweet friends.

It is cold today & supposedly some breezes. But I feel nothing here. We have a strong wind break on the north side of our house. I sat outside for a while sorting mail. It felt cold. Not much mail. Mostly cat food. They were out.

My phone continues to be a mess. Have purchased something that may help. Or not. Driving me crazy.

I am tired of this year & ready for a new one. Not felt good since my big fall earlier. Really upset my life. I continue to be scared. No bueno. And tired of all the tiresome family & friend fun others get to have. I have neither or a support group. Just me.

Worked on genealogy & got caught up. One guy was totally wrong about people. Should have ignored him. My one Swedish family I spent time with when there posted many photos. So nice to see them. Wish they kept in touch better. I should also.

On the news they just said that 40% of older people feel lonely. No shit. Not much choice when there is no one for me. Probably should have went out to eat tonite. Maybe I would feel better. Maybe. But those who should care or used to care no longer do. 😿

New Years will be quiet. Just need to decide what jammies to wear in my living room!!! 😁

Hope TV is ok tonight. Last night was good. Latin Music show.

09/2025 - Lunes the 22nd - MY JOURNEY

Today's Name Day: Maurits, Moritz

My great grandmother had a brother Maurits who died as a young man. He had been in the states then returned to Sweden & died. No idea why.

Had a good day. Not much sleep though. I realized that the new OS 26 something is now out so around 3am I started deleting things to clear enough so it would download. It is as cool as they said it would be. MM showed me something cool it will do. Tonight I have been adding back in what I removed. So far so good,

I took off for Hutchinson KS for my medical clinic to pick up my insulin & ozempic. On the way home the ditch on the east side of the highway was filled with thousands of sunflowers!! From Hutch to McPherson. All ditches should be so beautiful!! Not here. Not enough rain,

MM was bartending today. I stopped on the way home to see him. I got my rum & coke without asking. Supper was a grilled cheese with Bond Ost cheese, chips & dressing. Bond Ost is a Swedish cheese. I really did not know anyone there. Just fun to people watch.

MM is a good waiter. Each customer is treated special with a hand on shoulder or whatever. The former owner of the bar came in. He had to park a long ways away. He, like me, has trouble walking. MM walked to the end of the block & drove his car to a closer spot.

Rain clouds are moving in. We are in a storm watch & flood warning. IF my drive is ok I am going out for lunch tomorrow. I need to do that more often. Find other foods I want. I am craving fried chicken and/or a real breakfast ---- eggs, bacon, toast of biscuit, potatoes. Might not happen this week but it will next week. I can eat alone. No problem.

Things are looking up for Bethany College. Mens soccer have 3 wins, womens soccer have maybe 2 wins, & football team won last night!!!!! Exciting times!!! Whether I get to attend or not it is still wonderful!!

Just watched Rachel Maddow interview Kamala Harris. Great. Love those two.

Got a mosquito in my car. Usch. Now have on 2 stickers that repel them. Working so far. Need bug killing cold weather!!!

Had a long text this morning with CW about our dogs that have died. We both miss them. He has his dog's ashes. His dog's name was Willie. Nico is buried near my bedroom window. Nico would sit on my bed & look out the window waiting for me to come home. Last night I had a short dream of Willie & Nico came to me like they were live. Willie was talking. Lots of thoughts about my granddaughter. If she would reach out to me I would tell no one. NO ONE!!!!! I would just enjoy.

Libraries Remember Day

Todays Name Day is Dagny

Another quiet day. I was unable to sleep last night. No reason for it. Not tired. Slept some this morning. Tried to take a nap but never fell asleep. Plus Nico was acting odd. I was bothered.

Cinder came in when we went to bed & is still in. She was hidden most of the day. Who knows where. I have offered her to go out but she just stares at me.

Nico climbed up on my lap today & just laid on me. Maybe he did not feel good. He is a worry.

Odd thing.. I called to get an appointment for Nico & they took my number to call back. Never happened before. And I never got a call back. Will call in the morning.

I threw out the old kitty litter. Not an easy job or fun. But got the new litter & hope they like it better. Time will tell. Carried trash out also. That was my fun day.

Lots of texts from my grandsons. Always makes the day better.

It got quite cool last night & rained. It dropped to the 60s & is still there. Rained most of the day. Awesome. Did not get much but just pleasant. Oh, to have a sleeping porch. Would be heaven.

Got word today a relative in Sweden has died. I am so sad. And he had been in a home for dementia. I never got to meet him but we had emailed some. I am sad.
