Cooler weather coming our way.  Not fast enough though.

Today's Name Day:  Tiburtius

    My usual quiet day.  MM seems to be adjusting to his move but Gracie is tired of it all!!  Hope her fence is fixed.  His new house is right on the highway that goes through town.

    Had several emails from JL.  I am so grateful to having her as a friend.  I can vent to her if I need to.  No one else cares much.  Or even asks.  And she can vent to me anytime.  Plus we have fun things we write about.  And she shares lots of photos.  She is a seamstress & artist.  Wish we lived closer to each other.

    My one trash bin has been blown over for the last month.  Totally out in the open for all who come here to see.  But it has not moved.  Apparently my bin, my problem.  Even the trash guys 2 weeks ago ignored it.  It is scary for me to teeter way out there with my cane to try to pick it up.  Then moving it closer.  So I have ignored it.  But the trash guys this week were much nicer.  Both bins are upright & closer.  Nice.  Maybe close enough I can get to them easily.  Will try.

    Hot & windy again today.  Highs in the 90s.  Wind gusting to 45+ mph.  Nice.  Slight chance of rain tonight.  No doubt will miss my farm.  And more chances through the weekend.

    Several tornados yesterday in 6 eastern Kansas counties with lots of damage.  No major injuries.  Scary photos.  Towns I am not familiar with.

    My kittens are missing.  I hope Mom has moved them.  Tried calling.  She was missing yesterday & today.  Here now so I fed her. But no babies.

    No idea what got in to Kisse last night.  She was running all over the house, bedroom, my bed, me, etc.  Back & forth.  This was all around 230am.  She jumped from the top of my desk to the top of the bedroom door.  And sat there.  I took photos & posted one in a group I belong to & people liked it.  Posted it on FB & others liked it.  Some are here in my blog.

    Tried to nap but just rested.  It was post shampoo.  I was tired.  And lazy,  I did not try to style it.  Just left it curly.

    I am hungry already.  Hard to eat lunch.  Upset tummy.  Just my usual stomach.

I am not in a flower mood.  That will change if & when we get rain & wildflowers blooming,  Not just drought.

    Had a so-so day.  Needed more sleep.  Playing with my iPad.  Had a nice nap this afternoon.  Cinder joined me for a while.

    I gave up on taking trash out.  Too windy.  I am in too much pain & too depressed.

    Cats ate overnight & have hung around today.

    I stepped out on the porch for a minute.  Mail must all be in my mail box.  Hot out.

    No cattle here or llamas.

    I found some eye glass wipes --- Lens Wipes --- at Amazon.  Very good.  My glasses actually stay cleaner.

    Not much to say today.  Think MM must be moving.  Quiet today.  Drove by his new house last night.  I can see the back yard has a fence.  Better than the one where he lives now.  Good for Gracie!

    A friend wanted photos of Big Boy Steam Engine.  She is in Cheyenne WY now and friend's daughter lives there & wanted to share with her.  I sent her 9 photos from Abilene KS. All taken by me.  I hope it comes here this year.

    Also I have photos of wild flowers before our drought.  No flowers around my farm last summer.  Hope we get rain this summer.

    National news is depressing.  News ranging from idiotic to scary to bad to lies & a couple of nice pieces of news.  Not many though.  Glad I cannot fly any more.  No way I could stand in line to board for 5 hours.  And glad no family of mine is in the military.

In honor of Mom singing  in the Messiah Chorus for many years.  I think made it to 62 years total.

Mom in Ya Ya's in Wichita tasting my martini!!  We were there for a doctor's appointment.  We had a great driver & I always took us all out to eat somewhere really nice.  Never McDonalds.

Photo taken from Bachman's an ice cream place that also processed cream, milk, & butter.  Plus made ice cream.  Kids I played with got to go get ice cream often.  Only a block from where we lived.  I was never ever allowed to go get any ice cream.  I missed out.
